Being a Home health Nurse I go into many facilities. Waterford is a very welcoming and loving home for seniors who need to be in a community with other seniors. There is always something going on with activities, outings and special events. Looking for to the yearly Christmas horse drawn buggy ride !

So grateful to get to partner with The Waterford Fort Worth! Their team is knowledgeable, understanding of their residents and always go above and beyond to keep patients safe and in their “home” with the utilization of additional services like caregivers, home health and hospice.

It was much nicer than the other one we looked at and had a room downstairs, close to the door so she could take her little dog out. My loved one just moved in a few months ago and they told her they are raising her rent so she has to move into a smaller apartment to be able to afford it.

I know the increases are something that is always a challenge financially, but we have been working hard for a solution and were able to find your mom a room that fits her budget. I do appreciate you working with us to help out in this situation.
They really need to have working cameras in the facility. They need improve on the taste of the food and offer better options to the residents.

Thank you for the feedback on the dining program and I wanted to let you know we are working on the following things: A weekly chef meeting to get feedback from our residents, we are moving towards a menu that has more comfort foods as per our resident feedback and we are hosting a monthly chef tasting of future meals. The cameras are something that has been brought up in the past and we have sent that information to our corporate office. I do appreciate the feedback, and we are working on your concerns.
I would tell others looking into The Waterford at Forth Worth that it's a nice, safe facility that would give someone comfort in knowing their family member is there.

Waterford had poor service and poor Food I think it's changed since the new manager took over but [name removed] moved from there about four or five months ago. I went to [facility removed], and that is a super nice place. She was very happy there. It's under new management and it may be better than it was! [name removed] would've stayed indefinitely because it's close to us if the Mills had been decent First and I ate there one day and it was green chili enchiladas I know it didn't say chicken usually it has chicken in it wherever you eat. This tasted like a mouth of sour cream and chicken soup, flour, tortilla, and green chili. It was the worst. I've eaten in a very long time. Every place needs to have a van with a lift so wheelchairs can be placed inside for travel if needed.

Since I have taken over at The Waterford at Fort Worth, we have made it our mission to serve the residents and families in the best way possible. We have had a lot of positive changes in our community and look forward to many more. I understand how personal food is to everyone and we have worked really hard to change up our menu, add an always available menu for folks who would like something different than our entree and improve our dining experience.
It's been a good experience. Wife is in hospice care and staff has been attentive to our needs.. Food service to apartment has been excellent

The staff if generally nice but the food staff is lacking in common skills. Menus are often skimpy and don't follow the one printed. Food could be better.

Once they get you in....they up the price after about 6 months. Lots of issues with maintenance and getting things repaired. Staff changes a lot and no one seems to really care one way or another. The activities are on point and food seems to be good but overall it's disappointing. We picked the place because of affordability but after 6 months rent went up almost [fee removed] and now it's money coming out of my pocket that I don't have so it's been rough.

We do an annual increase in March of every year with our residents to meet the costs of doing business and also to match the inflation we have seen over the last two years. I can tell you I have worked with any residents that have come forward to the best of my ability to help them out with their increase at this time. We have a great Activity program, and our dinning has been improving steadily with great comments. I will pass along your comments to those teams. I understand as a family member that taking care of your loved one is not easy and can add stress to your situation. I would love to have the chance to discuss this with you to see if we can find a solution
Overall its pretty good just housekeeping needs to do their jobs because her room is not being swept or mopped I have complained several times.

Waterford was not a good choice for my mother. Even though she could take care of herself for the basics she wouldn't. And because it was actually an independent living community there was no one that would be helpful in making sure she was ok. Most of the problem I saw was the staff. Just as we moved mom, they had replaced their director because there had been so much tension with the staff. Most of the staff was friendly but didn't go out of their way to be helpful.

May 10, 2024We have made some positive changes in this community, have GREAT leadership with very caring individuals and solid leadership. We would love another opportunity to make a better impression.
We highly recommend Waterford of Fort Worth. It is a clean, well maintained and beautiful facility. My Mom is not technically inclined and requires a land line phone and the wiring for a phone isn’t in place within the walls of her room. So unfortunately my Mom has been without a phone for a couple months but I am hopeful the management at Waterford will work through repairing the lines so that we can get my Mom a phone. We aren’t a family to just drop our loved one off and not keep in steady contact with her….she has friends and family throughout the metroplex and from multiple states that talks to her regularly. Fortunately, I live only 3 miles away and can stop in frequently to remind her to use the lobby phone or FaceTime from mine. However, ideally she could have a phone of her own in her room. Other than that, we are extremely pleased with the food, facility and staff. We are grateful to have our Mom in a nice and safe place.

When my sister needed a new home, I was at a loss as to where to turn. Called “A Place for Mom”. They were so helpful and certainly pointed me in the right direction! She is so happy in her new place and I appreciate this organization’s help! I highly recommend it!

The staff promises things and they do not perform as promised in a timely manner. The food is probably the worst I've seen at a facility. My loved one has found another facility that has a lower monthly cost that she wants to look at, she is planning to move. Her shower was not fixed for over a month, we ended up having to fix it ourselves. I had to order the part to fix it. They promised to take my loved one to Walmart, but they don't keep a routine schedule of when they're going and they cancel a lot. The front porch is nice, but other than that it's really sad. I was warned by another quality lady not to put my loved one here and she gave me the similar story, but we had to find out for ourselves.
