Peace of mind during a process that is emotionally challenging on caregivers and their loved ones.

My loved one is now at The Sapphire at music city and the staff is much friendlier and so much more compassionate. Night and day difference from his last facility. He loves it. The staff is very compassionate and very knowledgeable about memory care. They are also former nurses and have experience in the elderly and aging population.... Read more

Greedy

Mom’s rent was automatically paid on the [removed] of May. She died on May [removed]. They refuse to reimburse me for the 3 weeks after she died. I’ve called 4 times to find out why they haven’t done so. Especially after we found out they left her lying in horrific pain for 10 days with a fractured hip! Once the sitter told us they did not take mom to the hospital with her last fall she called for a portable xray which showed she had a fractured hip. The NP said it was just my mother’s dementia. Once she had surgery at 94 she only lived 3 weeks. To not reimburse us has made us so angry I’m getting an attorney!!

The Opal at Music City review

Our loved one has been a resident in here for a few months now and the staff members are very professional, very accommodating and we really appreciated how much help the provided while we were moving in. The director is on a first name basis with our family and actually accessible. They keep a great line of communication always open and we really just like the accessibility all around.

Don't place anyone at opal unless it's last resort or need for Medicaid would be my opinion on my loved one's experience at The Opal at Music City.

The Opal at Music City, what a gem!

What a compassionate and caring facility. Staff is very professional and friendly. Moved my Dad in recently and we are slowly getting acclimated to everything. They have been very accommodating to his needs. If you are looking for a facility for yourself or a loved one be sure to check them out with a scheduled tour.

More than likely not a choice for our family. Seemed overpriced for the overall quality of life it will provide. Also, they are just beginning full renovations of the facility, so that would be disruptive.

Homelike place for dad

We were quite happy with this facility. It was hard to find a facility that was able to care for our dad. Even though he didn't require "alot", we have too much going on with young kids, getting sick, etc. This facility was close by and within driving distance. Offered good food and nice staff. Even helped us with medicaid. Felt like home. We would certainly recommend this place. Even if we could afford 7000 for somewhere downtown.

Nice Facility and Within our Budget!

We loved it here! Unfortunately, our grandmother passed away in November. That's the sad reality of aging but while she was there, we had a good experience, nice staff and pleasant food!

A Caring and Warm Place

Had a wonderful walk through at the facility and WOW! The staff was friendly, warm and inviting. It truly shows how well they care for those in their care. They have created an environment that is warm and peaceful. Activities galore! I really hope to have my grandfather there in the near future!

Horrible

I don't know how to stress enough what a terrible experience we had. Our mother was there for about 85 days until we moved her. Limited staff, little or no cleaning, 5 directors of nursing in less than 3 months, cancelled her insurance without authorization, tried to breach the contract by increasing the rent. Added more fees that were suppose to be included in the contract amount. Maintenance man dressing Mom. Food was terrible, unauthorized medication was given. I can go on and on. Motto is...don't judge a book by the cover.

Don't

Frequent turnover No activities No outdoor access, no garden space No exercise Food very spicy Changed family members health insurance without consent. Prescribed Opiod without permission. In house physician billing when not suppose to treat family member. Employees performing duties they aren't qualified to perform. Change policies on a whim without concern for residents. Unorganzied Never saw water available for residents other than at meals. Sometimes cutting staff. No nurse, house keepers, laundry person, bath person, caregivers. I can not recommend. Brochure sounds great until you get there and moved in.

Nice Cozy Facility. Love the staff and location

What a change to Donelson. We had our aunt in Texas and moved her here last year. Thanks to the staff who helped with her move. We are happy with the facility and it is convenient for my brothers to fly in. She had great caregivers in Texas and we are so happy there so nice to her here also.

A Place for Mom has scored The Sapphire at Music City 6.8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
