We are also lucky that The Hampton & Ashley Inn is close to our family homes. Also her area has its own dining area so that is small too which is nice. Mom is in the Assisted living area which is the Ashley Inn. There are only 19 units so very quiet which she enjoys as she is a TV person. It is very clean in that area and peaceful. The community was really good. The community was not the right fit for our loved one as it was too large for them.
I liked the layout and the staff worked with me to give my loved one the care I needed for him. The facility was clean, always someone trying to keep things clean. Food was ok, he was not too picky. I would recommend them to family and friends.

Response from The Hampton and Ashley Inn
January 11, 2023Marilyn, We appreciate you taking the time to share your positive experience at The Hampton & Ashley Inn. We always aim to provide our residents with the best Distinctive Memory Care they deserve, and we are glad to know that we did precisely that for your loved one. Thank you for your recommendation; it means the world to us.
They took me for thousands of dollars for just 20 days. In my room, the TV and phone didn't work. The drapes on the window didn't work. There was a big bay window looking into the courtyard full of weeds, and they charged me for a courtyard view, which I wasn't aware of. If you told them to do something, you had to tell them 2-3 times. I had to have a blood draw, and they charged a considerable amount to bring someone in to do it. The problem is, they have an open shot to your bank account and can charge you at at any time for anything they want to, which is just not right. And they act like a bunch of [removed] when they're telling you something.
Response from The Hampton and Ashley Inn
January 11, 2023We are sorry that your experience with The Hampton & Ashley Inn was not a more pleasant one. We take all reviews seriously and value your feedback. Thank you, and we look forward to hearing from you.
I toured this facility with my parents while looking for potential memory care/assisted living facilities. We showed up with relatively little advance notice and toured the memory care wing of their facility. I was extremely impressed with both the facility and the staff. There's a large garden which can be accessed by residents and the layout lends itself to getting back to your own room if you tend to wander some. The staff were also impressive - even the marketing director knew each of the patients by name and enough of their backstories to interact/redirect them. We were accompanied for a short time by a very sweet resident who just wanted to tag along. We saw residents were clean and well cared for and the staff clearly cares here. While my parents aren't quite ready for memory care yet I'll be keeping this place in mind down the road if it becomes necessary.

We chose The Hampton and Ashley Inn because of the value of the money. It was nice and clean and it just gave us a good feeling. The administrative staff were great and accommodating especially with me living out of town. The spaces we were able to see were nice, but we were not allowed in due to covid. I really felt like the knew who my dad was and took the time to get to know him. They had tons of activities for residents to participate in. I would absolutely recommend to others looking.

I wish I would have moved my loved one here earlier. I have had a friend asked for a recommendation. I would recommend this community again. They have nurses and they are medical trained. I feel confident that my loved one is and will continue to be well taken care of. They cover all levels of care. I like this since my loved one knows the staff and will continue to know the staff here.

We were able to do an in person tour about six months ago and we were able to get inside and see a couple of rooms. It was very clean from what we can remember and the staff members we encountered were very friendly.
The rooms and overall layout would be a five out of five. Before COVID we were able to eat some meals with our loved one and the food would also be a five out of five. We would recommend this community to others.

Mom needed upgraded care for a bedwound . They were excellent in their care for her . Dad moved in as a companion and was very grumpy but they never took it personally . Mom ended up passing away weeks later and the staff was so gracious to me and prayed and cried with me . The Hospice that came ( Peacehealth was amazing and only allowed what was necessary ) . Dad ended up dying 3 weeks later there also and had a lot of accidents which they cleaned up without a word . The staff was so loving to dad who had a harder process of dying than mom and they were there for him and our family and cried and prayed with us for him also . I just can’t speak highly enough about this place - perfect ? No but they truly care as if it’s their own parents , accommodate every request within reason and really we couldn’t have had a better experience . Highly highly recommend !

After visiting the sister property in Salmon Creek, I was excited to learn that this facility follows the same philosophy and has the same format. However designed slightly different this facility is one under serious consideration. [Name removed] was a joy to meet and I look forward to working with her more.

February 28, 2019Thank you for touring and reviewing The Hampton & Ashley Inn. The Active Living Director does a tremendous job of creating a full, seven-day schedule of activities for our residents. I will pass along your friendly compliments to our staff, and if we can serve you in any way, we would be grateful if you would call Angie, our Executive Director.
Adorable, but [name removed] would be really annoyed to be checked on every hour.

Response from The Hampton and Ashley Inn
February 28, 2019Thank you for reviewing The Hampton & Ashley Inn. Our community has, until now, not been considered adorable, and we love it! Level of care is an essential determination to the number of checks by our licensed 24-hour nurses, and each resident’s situation is slightly different. If we can serve you in any way, we would be grateful if you would call Angie, our Executive Director.
Everything here is going as well as it can be. The staff here has very competent young ladies and they are very communicative. I talked with several of them and I feel comfortable leaving my love one under their care. If something were to happen they do well in calling me to inform me. It is a larger facility with about 70 residents and they do have a structured system. They have activities going on all the time.

Response from The Hampton and Ashley Inn
March 12, 2018Thank you for taking a quick moment and writing a review for The Hampton & Ashley Inn. We would like to learn more, and I am sorry this was the way we came across. If we can serve you in any way, we would be grateful if you would call Nino, our Executive Director.
Rather than a specific experience, I am writing to rave about the staff at this facility. I visit a number of times a week and I find interaction between caretaker, nurse and patient to be consistently kind, patient, gentle and caring. When I walk out the door, I know my husband will be cared for and treated well. I am grateful. In particular, I would like to rave about [Removed] not only for doing their job but going far beyond what they "have" to do. When [Removed] is at work, the entire atmosphere of the floor is happier. I know that both [Removed] care for each and every resident as if they were their own family. The Director of Nursing, [Removed], is always available to listen and offer advice. She is an outstanding example of how to treat others the way you would like to be treated. I'm grateful!

October 18, 2017We appreciate that you took the time to write a review for The Hampton & Ashley Inn. I will pass along your comments to the teams as a whole and the specific staff mentioned. Our team’s primary goal is to be kind, patient, and gentle and so happy to read that these characteristics were so apparent. I appreciate the raving about our teams in such a specific manner. If we can serve you in any way, we would be grateful if you would call Nino, our Executive Director.
The hardest thing we ever had to do was putting our loved one in memory care. From our first drop in visit to the actual move in, we were met with understanding and professionalism. They were so helpful and willing to work with us. My Dad tells me he loves it at the Hampton. He enjoys the live music and several of the activities they offer. He also tells me the food is delicious. I have been impressed by the number of caregivers they have. Dad has been there since January and he still has the same caregivers.

Only shared rooms. Most people not involved in the group activity were by themselves. Not too much interaction.
