Overall experience was extremely stressful. There were so many issues - lack of communication, lack of care, too many issues to list here. Basically we had to move mum out. I brought her to [facility removed] last year. I really can't recommend Russellville park for anything past senior living. I will say their sales team is very good!!!

My mom absolutely loves it and the care the staff shows her eases my mind. I toured so many facilities near me and this by far was the best. It impressed me with the appearance. It's like a luxury hotel. The staff are so kind and helpful. The leaders are never too busy to speak with me about my mom's care. The nursing staff is amazing and provided care for her post operative wounds. The on-site restaurants have quality food with lots of variety. The exercise classes are very helpful. Every evening there is a movie in the community room (many of them newer movies just out of theaters). There's a lovely courtyard with amazing landscaping that provides a safe and welcoming option for spending time outdoors. It's a lovely place to live with caring people.

It's a very nice community with caring staff. It took a while to settle in to the right care routine, but things are good now. I would recommend to others.

The facility is clean but our loved ones apt. the cleaning is more like a 3/4. With the meals and dining, in general, meat is overcooked/dry. The activities are a 5 although I wished she'd participate a bit more. Value for Cost.... her rent went up after less than a year, and she says it's quite a bit higher than another tenant with equivalent accommodations. I haven't dug into details as yet to better understand her concern. Our family's experience in independent living has been extremely positive - lovely staff, clean, well maintained accommodations, plenty of activities for all to enjoy. Would highly recommend.

The place is nice and clean, but they dis not clean my mothers apartment well and never cleaned the toilet or bathroom. They did not do her laundry either. Very disappointed as I had to do this all myself even though it was suppose to be included. There were a couple nice people at the front desk and in the dining hall, but overwhelmingly the staff was unfriendly and often put off when you would ask them questions. [name removed] the health and wellness director was nice and really responsive so that was great. My mother was suppose to have escorts to meals and help with getting to activities this was often not done and she lost a tone of weight because she was not getting escorts or being helped. The food was ok. My mother did not go to many activities as she needed help getting to them and it was not provided. The events we did go to were fun and the food was decent. Many cost extra though. They did have more activities then the place she is at now, however that's the only thing I can say was better there. If you have a self driven active senior then I think the events are good at Russellville, but not if you need assistance or reminders for activities because you won't get them. The place is one of the most expensive I my area and the assisted living is nice, but the memory care is sad and small and tucked in the back. The neighborhood is pretty shady and there are many houseless and drug addicted camps around. They had been cleared out when we first looked, but got increasingly worse as my mother was there. Check out the memory care before you decide to stay, because you won't want to go. My advice is check out the memory care at each facility you visit because we found only a few nice ones and it was much harder to move my mom to another community. We chose to leave when my mother had to go memory care because it is no wear near as nice as the rest of the place and expensive. We had been sold on the place because of the big rooms in assisted living and the promise of good care, but it turned into more of a nightmare. So glad my mom is at a new place

The team at Russellville Park is very supportive with out being over-bearing. Apartments are nice. They have good closet space and a nice kitchen layout. The 2 door option to get to the bathroom was clever.

August 15, 2024Thank you for letting us know how your experience is at Russellville Park! It puts a smile on our faces knowing that you are pleased with our bedrooms. Russellville Park is wonderful! My mom experienced all three levels of living: Independent Living, Assistant Living and Memory Care. At each level the staff treated her and other residents with respect and dignity. The caregivers with Assisted Living and Memory Care got to know my mom's wishes and needs. The care was respectfully given. Once in a while she would have a medical emergency and when that happened the staff were right on it and stayed with her until other help arrived. The staff was always communicative with me about her needs personal or supply wise, and when anything unusual occurred. Russellville park is great and I had every confidence in the facility and how she was treated. I would not hesitate to live there myself.

The staff is very friendly, and goes out of the way to remember each resident's personal preferences. Smiles extra care are the norm, even in busy, stressful times. Managers/supervisors step in to help when needed, with a smile and greeting! Front desk staff readily answer a host of questions, and/or refer you to a proper source. Activities are varied, numerous and staff is extremely helpful in planning and/or executing special events. We appreciate the honoring of veterans, senior citizens, public servants, flag, and country! The security detail are also ,"Unsung hero's on campus!

March 14, 2024Thank you for taking the time to let us know how well you’re settling into your new home at Russellville Park. It puts a big smile on our faces knowing that our amazing team is treating you well and you enjoy the activities. Sounds like a win win all around. There is a lot of fun just waiting for you! We are thrilled to welcome you to our family and community.
Family member lived here for 8 years. Started out great, great employees, good food and fun things to do. Three years ago it started going downhill due to frequent management changes. Care was horrible as basic needs were not met. Kept getting the excuse that they were understaffed. Family member had several falls which were not reported to us for days (!), rooms were filthy where I could take a paper towel and wipe the floor in the bathroom and it would be black and when I visited I would pick up trash from the floors. Showers were dirty and housekeeping would skip weeks at a time. Beds were seldom made up and not changed when dirty. Personal care was minimal and not reliable. Showers were offered at random times - late in the evening and if you declined then they reported you refused to shower and didn't get another chance for a week. Food which used to be restaurant quality was very basic and lower quality was served after a long wait or offered as a buffet.

I highly recommend Russellville Park. The staff have been attentive and the move in process was efficiently organized. My mom and dad have been warmly welcomed. There have been some minor hiccups as everyone gets used to the new care plan, but all in all the Russellville Park team has been great. The meals are high quality and well presented. This was one of the only places we found that offered a full kitchen in the apartment.

December 12, 2023Thanks so much for your comments. We are proud of our residents and staff who make Russellville Park such a great community! We offer a robust calendar of daily activities to keep our residents active and engaged. I'd like to hear more about your concerns. Please give me a call at (503)254-5900 at your earliest convenience. Kindly, Bill Grady, General Manager
What we like the most about the community is the layout of the building (easy to navigate), layout/quality of the apartments, the friendliness of the staff members. It is a safe interior public space for the residents (courtyard) as well as multiple large "living room style" public spaces, multiple spaces for exercise....Lovely accommodations, friendly staff, great dining options (grandsons also enjoy dining with Grannie!) - highly recommend!

I would recommend Russellville to a friend! The food is great, apartments are really nice, and the size of the community is good -- big enough for plenty of activities and small enough to make friends.

When I first walked in I saw a gay and lesbian sign for LGBTQ month, I think that they provide a real sense of openness in the community and have a mix of all different types of people with different life experiences. I ran into people I knew there as well, I knew the head of fitness and also one of the residents. Everyone I asked raved about the facility, even an Uber driver who dropped me off there had good things to say about it. It is just a quality place. It is expensive but worth it for everything that you get. The staff from maintenance to caregivers to the front desk staff have been lovely. The issue with the food is just with the staffing, so it is no problem of their own. I would highly recommend Russellville Park to others looking.

A Place for Mom has scored Russellville Park 9.1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
