The staff is very friendly, and goes out of the way to remember each resident's personal preferences. Smiles extra care are the norm, even in busy, stressful times. Managers/supervisors step in to help when needed, with a smile and greeting! Front desk staff readily answer a host of questions, and/or refer you to a proper source. Activities are varied, numerous and staff is extremely helpful in planning and/or executing special events. We appreciate the honoring of veterans, senior citizens, public servants, flag, and country! The security detail are also ,"Unsung hero's on campus!

Response from Russellville Park
March 14, 2024Thank you for taking the time to let us know how well you’re settling into your new home at Russellville Park. It puts a big smile on our faces knowing that our amazing team is treating you well and you enjoy the activities. Sounds like a win win all around. There is a lot of fun just waiting for you! We are thrilled to welcome you to our family and community.
Family member lived here for 8 years. Started out great, great employees, good food and fun things to do. Three years ago it started going downhill due to frequent management changes. Care was horrible as basic needs were not met. Kept getting the excuse that they were understaffed. Family member had several falls which were not reported to us for days (!), rooms were filthy where I could take a paper towel and wipe the floor in the bathroom and it would be black and when I visited I would pick up trash from the floors. Showers were dirty and housekeeping would skip weeks at a time. Beds were seldom made up and not changed when dirty. Personal care was minimal and not reliable. Showers were offered at random times - late in the evening and if you declined then they reported you refused to shower and didn't get another chance for a week. Food which used to be restaurant quality was very basic and lower quality was served after a long wait or offered as a buffet.

I highly recommend Russellville Park. The staff have been attentive and the move in process was efficiently organized. My mom and dad have been warmly welcomed. There have been some minor hiccups as everyone gets used to the new care plan, but all in all the Russellville Park team has been great. The meals are high quality and well presented. This was one of the only places we found that offered a full kitchen in the apartment.

Everyone I interacted with at Russellville Park was great. I just thought that they would have checked on my friend more. I do think that they needed some improvements on their activities offered as well.

Response from Russellville Park
December 12, 2023Thanks so much for your comments. We are proud of our residents and staff who make Russellville Park such a great community! We offer a robust calendar of daily activities to keep our residents active and engaged. I'd like to hear more about your concerns. Please give me a call at (503)254-5900 at your earliest convenience. Kindly, Bill Grady, General Manager
What we like the most about the community is the layout of the building (easy to navigate), layout/quality of the apartments, the friendliness of the staff members. It is a safe interior public space for the residents (courtyard) as well as multiple large "living room style" public spaces, multiple spaces for exercise....Lovely accommodations, friendly staff, great dining options (grandsons also enjoy dining with Grannie!) - highly recommend!

I would recommend Russellville to a friend! The food is great, apartments are really nice, and the size of the community is good -- big enough for plenty of activities and small enough to make friends.

When I first walked in I saw a gay and lesbian sign for LGBTQ month, I think that they provide a real sense of openness in the community and have a mix of all different types of people with different life experiences. I ran into people I knew there as well, I knew the head of fitness and also one of the residents. Everyone I asked raved about the facility, even an Uber driver who dropped me off there had good things to say about it. It is just a quality place. It is expensive but worth it for everything that you get. The staff from maintenance to caregivers to the front desk staff have been lovely. The issue with the food is just with the staffing, so it is no problem of their own. I would highly recommend Russellville Park to others looking.

I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The residents seem happy here. The staff communication with the family is good. Sometimes they seem to be understaffed in some areas. There are choices for the residents to choices to choose from. The food has been good for my loved one.

Russellville Park has a wonderful environment. My mom was scared when she decided to move, but in about 3 days she felt so comfortable there. She's involved in many things and is always so excited when I speak to her and tells me about the things she's done that day. Just to name a few, she's participating in - Bing Bag basketball, daily exercise, hibachi ball, she's hand & foot in card games with other women, and she's attended outings to casinos, grocery stores, movie theaters etc.. They actually just had a play there last night that she attended. It's been a great relief for our family and she is just having a blast! She has a stove and a kitchen in her apartment, so she's able to do some cooking of her own. She's cooked a few meals, but since she has friends she spends a lot of time in the dining room as well. Everyone has been very welcoming there and towards her. It's really the best place! I would absolutely recommend this community to others.

There's a very steep learning curve trying to figure out how to get your family member's needs met. And there's no one to help you figure it out, so good luck. They say that they can do things and offer services, but then they have to backtrack on it because they can't actually offer those services. And that's after speaking to management. They tell me they'll take care of everything. It'll all be fine. And then it's not. And there is no one anywhere to help me negotiate this.

We toured Russellville Park and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We chose another community because it was a better fit for our loved ones needs.
They wouldn't take my loved one due to medical reasons.
Nice, modern community with good space. The shared rooms are open between the two beds.
This is a very welcoming and friendly community. The staff's friendliness stand out to me along with their flexibility. Some of the activities include exercise classes, movies, games, happy hours, puzzles, and more for the residents to choose from.

I would tell others to not waste their time or money. The community does a lot of bait and switch on business deals. They don't have the staff to keep the promises they make. My loved one does nothing but complain about the food. The community promised transportation to the store, and then they backed out due to the pandemic. It took over a month for the community to come in and clean the apartment. No one knew where recycling or waiting a month to take out trash. They don't talk about the full prices upfront, until the contract is signed.

This community had child care and I thought that was really nice. The community is close to public transportation also. I feel that your loved one might need to be very mobile to get the most out of this community. The staff are very nice
It has been a good experience so far at Russellville Park. I chose this facility because the person I talked to at first was very personable. I am in a 2 bedroom apartment and it is great for what I needed. Everybody is very friendly here and I would recommend them.
