The Gables of Jacksonville

My uncle is there. I have gone into his room blazing hot. No working air conditioning. Chemical smell was terrible from the AC burnout. Water on the floor from leaking shower along with mold. He was in filthy clothes. He has fallen due to improper cleaning causing slick floors. They left him all night bleeding with skin tears. They are very defensive when you bring anything to their attention.

Harbor Chase was a very well run customer oriented facility. Now that it has changed hands the residents will wait and see where it goes in the future. It’s too early to make an assessment of the Gables of Jacksonville under new management/ ownership.

We have been very pleased with [name removed] care at HarborChase so far. I think one of the strongest selling points is their very constant and open communication with the family concerning [name removed] day-to-day care and issues that arise. The cleanliness is much better than Brookdale and we are very happy with [name removed] accommodations. The staff is doing a good job so far. We would readily make to same decision to engage HarborChase again if we had to.

Everyone was very friendly and outgoing. The food is excellent! The only downside is the facility was losing patients, so that resulted in reducing staff which impacted care and responsiveness.

Dads been here at HarborChase around 8 months. Hes gained weight and comes out of his room more and more, to hangout with other guys. Highly recommned!

The day to day care staff is wonderful, consistent, caring, & professional. The current administration is responsive, and professional.

We needed a facility with an ECC license to accommodate my father's needs. Pleased with the level of care he has received, especially services such as primary care, PT, OT, etc. Podiatrist, hearing aid specialist on site have been very helpful.

Front staff - super friendly. Knowledgeable - amazing :) Staff is great. Would welcome training and compassion for the care in memory facility. God bless them as a very difficult, emotional, & physical job.

I felt welcomed by everyone I came in contact with. The restaurants were amazing. Can't wait to dine there with my grandmother & family.

This place is beautiful, has great food! The staff and management were welcoming and kind to myself and mom.

With the overhaul of administration there was a couple of weeks, I felt there was a lot of confusion and turmoil that finally got pretty well handled.

Toured. Very pleasant experience the building was bright & cheery. The staff was knowledgable.

The staff cares for the residents well and cares about them. The housekeeping is good. The move in process was easy. The meals are better than other places. I do not see much on the daily activities to occupy the residents. I would recommend this facility to others.

Overall the experience has been pretty good. They have trouble holding onto staff, probably because they don't pay very well. But generally it's a pretty good experience. To be honest, I'm not thrilled about being in an assisted living place, but for having to be here, it's not terrible. I have my own space, with my own things. People are friendly and helpful for the most part. Compared to a nursing home where I was before, this is wonderful.

If your person still has all of their mental and physical capacities, it might be okay. But if either is compromised at all, do not go there. They do not have enough staff. We just had a terrible experience there. My loved one arrived there with his hospital gown on and left there several days later with the same dirty hospital gown on.

The CEO is a dictator force the employees to get the vaccine violation of crew rights, doesn’t follow residents diets, roaches everywhere [name removed] is anti ethic, unprofessional ,no respect or compassion
