The Windsor at San Pablo is a resort-style senior living community in Jacksonville, Florida. Our elderly mother was evaluated in April while at a local rehab facility. She was suffering from several health serious issues. We were given the questionnaire in advance. We went through and filled it out and determined on a scale of 1-5, she was conservatively a 4. She was incapable of getting in and out of bed without assistance, had severe incontinence issues, and was cognitively challenged. When the Windsor nurse came to evaluate her, she labeled her a level 3. Mom was admitted to Windsor on [date removed]. On [date removed], the care team recommended hospice care which was initiated immediately. Vitas was called in, but Windsor supplemented them with staff for overnight and when they were not on site. The staff was terrific, but more than one of the staff said our mother should never have been admitted because they were not equipped to provide that level of care. Mom died on [date removed]. The staff was correct. She should have transferred to a nursing facility. Admitting her felt like a cash grab.

Spent the day here catching up with relatives while attending the Christmas event. Place looked very nice, and the folks working there were real helpful. Christmas event was great – live entertainment and good food. Everything was well organized. It felt very home-like and welcoming. Really enjoyed my time there.

Our family had an in person tour with The Windsor at San Pablo and even though we did not pick the community for our loved one, we thought the tour experience was a good one. We didn't get a chance to talk to much staff but the amenities that we saw seemed good.

We chose The Windsor at San Pablo because the minute I walked in and toured, it really just felt like a place my mom would like. It reminded me of her own home. The place is beautiful and all the staff are very friendly.
