Beautiful and Friendly Facility with Activities for Every Level.

The facility was completed in 2022 so it's like new. The independent living apartments are a generous size with cleaning services included once a week. There are many fun activities scheduled each week and residents are allowed to have a pet. Residents have transportation available and may go to different store by shuttle bus to shop any given week. I think monthly cost is in line with other such facilities in the area. Not the highest or the lowest. I have not toured Assisted Living or Memory Care at The Crossings so cannot speak to those.... Highly recommend. Five Stars across the board.

Staff is caring and professional. From cleaning crew to the Operations Director everyone is special. We have lived in two other facilities. The Crossings has all the amenities and service in a beautiful facility. This place is new and is in a great location.

A nice community with really nice staff and residents.

The meals are good but main dining room been under repair for several months. Breakfast is weak and important. Should be better when they get back to their main big dining room. I just think they need better breakfast and a little later options but based on the experience I have had with The Crossings I would definitely recommend this community to other families.

Room for improvement

My mom was in the memory care area and they definitely didn't have enough nurses to handle the area. They had aides but the aides really didn't do much that I could see. The people were very nice but my mom had issues with her medication so I would say an in-depth meeting with family to go over medication before admission would be #1 on the need to work on list.

Wonderful!

The staff is very caring. Several staff members, including caregivers and nurses have approached me, asking how I think my dad is doing and is there anything I think they could do to help him feel more at home. They have also been careful to monitor my dad and update me on any changes to his condition and what plans they have to address issues.

The Crossings at Riverchase is exceptional

I toured a few facilities for my sociable dad and when I toured The Crossings at Riverchase, I knew that I did not have to look any further. Everything about it is wonderful. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they go above and beyond. The apartments are very nice and comfortable and the activities are amazing. My dad goes to the exercise room every morning and then he reads newspapers in the lovely and well furnished library. He enjoys visiting in the beautiful lobby in front of the cozy electric fireplace. He looks forward to happy hour on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons where they have entertainment and delicious snacks. Friday is bingo and there are also cards, playing pool, weekly outings, etc. The food is homemade and a culinary experience to behold. The dining room is very nice and they also have different nights where they celebrate a theme such as ball park food, Italian night, etc. There are too many positives to list and no negatives that I have found.

Every person on the staff that we interact with is beyond amazing. They made us feel welcomed and provided the reassurance Mom needed in making this life change. They continue to exceed all expectations. The move in was smooth, but we did work with Trading Places and [Name removed] handled everything. Mom is enjoying the people, food, activities and the overall experience. We could not be more pleased. We absolutely recommend The Crossings at Riverchase.

I would highly recommend The Crossing if you're looking for a place for yourself or a loved one.

My mom very much loves her apartment. It's roomy, comfortable, and has a balcony. She loves all the activities and is beginning to attend more of them as time goes by. We all love how everyone is so accommodating and easy going and there's no harsh rule enforcement. So, very comfortable atmosphere. One thing telling to me, everyone we meet loves the place and makes a point to tell us how much they love it there. [name removed] is very nice and listens well. We love the fact that there is a cleaning service once a week. I think it's great there's transportation available for outings. I really can't think of one negative thing to say!

Grateful for The Crossings.

5 stars on all. The care that she has received since she entered the facility has been a six. She has not met an employee yet who she was not impressed with. For her to say that is awesome. They have been a blessing. I have not met anyone who did not conduct themselves in a professional and friendly manner on each occasion. They stay on top of my wife's condition and activities at all times.

Would Not Recommend

The sitters don't always show up when they're scheduled. And they don't want to be there. They tell my mom all the time - "you have to hurry up because we have to go." The food has been AWFUL. It's served cold. The potatoes are never cooked. My dad was served raw chicken breast. And when he sent it back, he was told he would have to wait until all of the other diners were served - and then if they had any left they could bring him some. The manager listens to the residents, but he just tells them what they want to hear. He doesn't do anything about any of the issues that they have, which is mainly the food.

A great place for a loved one

We could not of asked for a better place for our loved one, she absolutely loves it there. The Crossings is set up beautifully, it is extremely clean and brand new. The staff are incredible friendly to all the residents and visiting families. There are tons of different activities for the residents to do, there are games like bingo, there is a ice library which is great since our loved one enjoys reading. They have concerts a few times a week where someone will come play the piano or saxophone. They have great food there, and we just feel so comfortable having our loved one there we would absolutely recommend The Crossings at Riverchase to other families.
