The assisted living - high level of pleasurable experience, but the skilled nursing was not very high. The cleanliness with assisted living we were very satisfied with, but for skilled nursing it was more like mid level satisfaction. Assisted living staff were very friendly, but the staff for skilled nursing would get maybe 1/2. The quality of care for assisted living was high, and the nursing staff and business office staff was high. The meals for assisted living and skilled nursing were high and the activities were good for both. The value for cost was rather expensive on both... Read more

My dad passed away [date removed]. The staff at Oaks on Parkwood were all very compassionate and respectful. I had many friends who had loved ones here previously, that was the main reason we chose this facility initially. I highly recommend Oaks on Parkwood to others looking for care for their loved ones.

My dad is currently a resident at Oaks on Parkwood and the experience at this facility has been very good for him so far. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Communication with the family is great. They keep us well informed on dad's condition and contact us immediately if there is an issue. I would recommend Oaks on Parkwood for both Memory Care and Skilled Nursing.

My dad is currently a resident at Oaks on Parkwood and overall it's been a very good experience for him at this facility so far. The staff has been responsive and helpful. The food must be pretty good since my dad appears to have gained a little bit of weight. I've known several friends who have had relatives at Oaks on Parkwood and I don't hesitate to recommend them to others.

They take periodic bus rides, snack trips, musicians in facility, and games. We picked this community, because it's a beautiful campus, clean facility, and was within proximity. Would have liked to have had weekly church services with mostly singing. The residents do have memory issues, and most not able to follow a message but music is a universal way to bring joy to their hearts and faces.

I toured this community and it seemed to be a good place. Clean and friendly environment.
It's been a very positive experience for me. I think the staff are very knowledgeable in the areas they work in. They seem to be dedicated to their jobs and their residents. Some of their activities include going outside for dinners, water aerobics, and they also have bingo. I would absolutely recommend Oaks on Parkwood to others!

I'm very satisfied with the care Oaks on Parkwood provides for my mom. Communication between myself and the community has been great. I always receive a phone call if there's an incident. They reach out very quickly after the situation with a very good explanation of what happened, and how we can work on prevention in the future. I'm always impressed that as soon as the accident happens, I'm alerted. They are also very responsive if I reach out to them first. I would absolutely recommend their community to others. I've known other people who have family members there, and I've encouraged others to do the same.

I really like that the facility is all on one level. The staff seem to keep a great eye on both of my parents. They are great with communication and keep my well informed. They were one of the most reasonably priced and the pricing is all inclusive. They are doing a great job with my parents and we are pleased. We have been very happy with our choice and would highly recommend them to other families.

We toured this community and the tour was very good. They answered all of our questions and were very informative. They were very accommodating and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We did not feel rushed at all and they took their time with our family. I would recommend touring this community
We chose this facility because it was a better value for the money than a lot we looked into, the location, and it is a one level facility which we liked. They also have continued care so we would not have to move her from the facility, she would just transition from levels of care. Her apartment is absolutely adorable and she feels very confident and comfortable in there. Her front door of her apartment leads out to a porch area which is very nice. We have not had any issues at all and they have been very attentive. We are very pleased with them and mom is happy here. I highly recommend them.

I toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. This was a very nice looking place, it was well kept and clean, and all of the staff I met seemed friendly and professional. However, it was also one of the more expensive places we looked at, and out of the price range we were looking in. We ended up selecting another community, but this is somewhere I would have considered as an option for my loved one.

A Place for Mom has scored Oaks on Parkwood 9.2 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
