I came to The Conservatory two years ago. I chose it because I liked the looks of the place and how friendly the staff and residents were. If you partake in only a few of the many activities offered you can be kept busy. We have maid service and I can’t say enough good about the service I get. We have movies in our own theater and special guest lectures. Our book club is a great place to discover books and discuss the monthly selection. We get two meals a day and they are great times to meet new people and learn about your neighbors. With all the people here there are many very interesting people and they all have life stories and have had jobs that are very interesting. One of the big social events is the three PM, Tuesday,Thursday and Saturday wine parties in the Safari Lounge each week. There is always something to do if you choose to participate. This is my home and I would not be doing all these things if I was in an apartment or other place without the amenities offered here.... Read more

Wish they had more payment options, such as accepting credit card to earn points, or better lease terms instead of only annual, or flexible meal plans (currently being charged whether used or not). They do have a friendly staff, cleanliness, and location were my biggest concerns and conservatory meets all these needs.

I would recommend The Conservatory at Plano to others. The difference I noted in my visits to senior living facilities was that the residents I saw here seemed happier than the residents in the other facilities that I visited.

Staff are extremely helpful and understanding that these types of decisions are complex and sometimes difficult. They do not pressure you to make a decision but rather want to make sure you have the knowledge to make an informed decision. There are tons of activities that foster social interactions between the residents. Facility is extremely clean and well taken care of.

We have been able to eat the food there, and it is very good. The activities are still pretty minimal, but what they are doing seems very organized and accessible. The community is gated, secured, and beautiful. The maintenance department is incredible. Anything that needs to be fixed, changed, or added they take care of right away. One of the things that has been incredible is that they have a doctor on site, and a home health for physical and occupational therapy, which has been so convenient. It is fantastic.

My parents chose The Conservatory bedcause it had everything that they wanted, a full sized kitchen was one of those things. The best part about the community is the willingness of the director and staff, they always help when they can and are very friendly. They always know who we are when we call. I would recommend the community.

We chose The Conservatory because they offered 2-3 meals a day, whereas a lot of the other places did not. This facility gave us more for the value and it was overall nicer. We are in a 2 bedroom apartment and it is nice size, it fits our needs. We have a corner unit with windows all around so we have a good view and we get a lot natural light. Our favorite part about the community would be not having to worry about our meals. I would recommend.

I have been a resident of Conservatory Plano for nearly 8 years. I am happy to recommend Conservatory Plano to others who might be looking for a community. I like that everything is in just one building. I also appreciate the fine dining they offer in the beautiful dining room. We have art classes in the art studio and I was able to learn to paint. Have now painted many pictures. I also grow flowers in the community garden beds.

I've been a resident for several years. Although I had to leave, I came back because I knew the people were friendly and the place was comfortable. It also fit my budget. I've been happy here. I've had opportunities to go beyond my limits, and I have learned a lot from the residents I've come to know.

New management, cutting costs beware! Our mother has been a resident for about a year. What drew us to this place was the, beauty, friendliness, care options and most importantly value. Since new management took over a couple of months ago, staff has quit, quality has gone down, and place has lost its class and sophistication. From what we are hearing from the disgruntled staff, over budget is what the new management is all about. These budget cuts are affecting the dining room in particular. Staff is leaving and not being replaced. The wait for an order is an average of an hour. Our mother waited 2 hours for her to go order. In addition, the management is having the residents bring their own tupperware containers for take out of left overs because they don’t want to give to go containers. In addition, for the last month a tacky sign for request of a liquor license has been posted on the main front door. We don’t want to have to move Mom, however things need to improve.

This gem of a place has gone DOWN, Down, down!!! Really wish the services that were there less than a year ago would come back....it is a lovely location and was beautiful at the start. It continues to anger me that the staff is not treated well and in turn the care continues to diminish. Hopefully, it still has a chance to turn around; otherwise, I fear, we may be looking for a New Place for mom!!!
