About the facility Atria Canyon Creek

Nestled among mature deciduous trees along the banks of scenic Spring Creek, Atria Canyon Creek offers independent living to older adults in the Plano, Texas area. This community features a multi-story building with a style reminiscent of a historic Spanish mission. Convenient amenities and accommodations make this community an ideal place to live while exploring the Greater Dallas metro.

Life at this community offers access to the many conveniences of the surrounding area. Rest easy knowing that Eminent Medical Center provides health resources less than a mile away. In your free time, take a shopping trip with friends to the stores of downtown Plano and the nearby Preston Shepherd Shopping Center, or enjoy the splendor of nature at the scenic walking and biking trails of the Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve. Every September, the Plano Balloon Festival takes over the park and preserve to bring hot air balloons to the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Meanwhile, history and rail buffs can learn about the history of trains at the Interurban Railway Museum near downtown. Bring your four-legged friend with you to this pet-friendly community, then head on an adventure to one of the three dog parks in town.

Dinner was good (no provisions made for those not coming down regularly....occasionally check but only occasionally. All they did not provide the service we needed for a mildly demented lady. We are moving her to another situation. They offered more than they could provide in the way of service!

Great place, great food and great people!

This is the most friendly community we have ever visited and the food is top tier!! They even serve lobster and steak. We had stayed for dinner and the service, just everything was 10/10. This place is truly amazing!

The best community in the area!

We visited many communities and Atria Canyon Creek felt like home the minute we walked in! From the various activities, spacious beautiful apartments, friendly and caring staff and can’t forget the food!! They have about 32 people working in the kitchen! The service is like no other! If you are looking for the best independent retirement living, are ready to make great friendships and eat good delicious food then move to Atria Canyon creek!

Luxury living at affordable prices

The Atria at Canyon Creek is a must see for anyone looking to move a loved one into independent living! The staff and residents are helpful and very friendly. The apartments are finished out nicely with touches like crown molding and granite countertops. My grandmother has settled in nicely… And especially enjoys the offered activities and the excellent food service. We could not be more pleased!

Well Pleased

Initial impressions were extremely positive. Community appeared to meet our expectations. In person tour confirmed our goal of a place located close to our children, apartments were spacious with sense openness to pleasant uncrowned atmosphere. Facilities and programs gave us opportunities for an active life style to chose from. Everyone, resident and staff, are extremely friendly. Conversations with fellow residents have confirmed our initial impressions. We feel they did our research and saved us hours of searching and visiting other facilities.

I have found my home for the senior chapter of my life

At Atria Canyon Creek, I have found my home for the senior chapter of my life. The attitude from top to bottom is one of support and love. I never imagined how much fun line dancing or beach ball volleyball (or any other of a dozen plus activities) with a bunch of friends could be.

Residents and staff are friendly

Following my husbands death I made the choice from several communities and choose Atria because of the general ambience of the facility, large apartments and oversized closets. The residents and staff are friendly with many different types of activities daily. I’ve made new friends easily and we have great food and housekeeping.

Too expensive and more like an assisted living without the assistance / would not recommend.

When it comes to the friendliness of the staff, some are very but some are never around like the directors or anyone who could fix anything. We would rate the breakfast a 4 our of 5, but the supper more like a 2 out of 5. All activities are not very convenient, the gym is to small and there are no trips off site. Too expensive. No credit for meals missed Housekeeping is a joke. Can't touch any thing. Does not use a mop to do floors. Would not recommend. The residents are sweet and deserve better

Review for Atria Canyon Creek

The feeling of an upscale hotel rather than a retirement facility. Beautiful apartments with full kitchens with washer and dryer hook ups.Nice landscaping with outdoor walk paths and places for leisure. Very nice dining hall with quality food, not to mention, many scheduled activities to choose from. My mother loves it there and has participated in many of the activities offered. I was concerned she would be an introvert but that has not been the case. Very pleased.

Review for Atria Canyon Creek

Atria is very clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly and courteous. The meals are prepared and presented well. Effort Is made for special events:ie the Labor Day BBQ. There are activities available every interest. I'm disappointed in costs.Ex: I was told by [name removed] that meals could be brought to room by caregivers but this is not the case. A $15.00 charge per meal is charged by Atria!! A 25.00 charge for each guest joining for a meal?

A Place for Mom has scored Atria Canyon Creek 9.6 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
