The El Dorado

I was looking for a place to lite, when I came across the El Dorano independent living facility. I was greeted warmly, treated with great respect and had an overall awesome experience. I settled on this place because it felt like home. [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], and the rest ofstaff, are very helpful, kind overall awesome. The residents are from all walks of life, and they make you feel very welcome. When it comes down to it, this place is like home.

[name removed]made us feel like family and helped us navigate this difficult process. There are lots of close by amenities including the recreation center, a public pool, and the senior center. Highly recommend!

Out of the many places I looked at when searching for a place for mother in law, This place was the friendliest w staff and residents. Reasonably priced as well. I also like that there was activities going on and there was lots of participation. I liked that every time I went in there, their were residents stirring about and interacting w each other. Many places I went to if it wasn’t meal time no one was around. That’s the biggest reason for our choice.

I love it here. The food is good, the workers are excellent, and the residents are great. I have fun and I love it. The best move I've ever made in my entire life. I love the people I love the activities I love my apartment.

Our family has been very happy with the care and services of the Richardson facility. My sister-in-law is very happy at your facility and the staff is very helpful and friendly. We apprecaite your support and dedication.

Meals were excellent clean premises friendly and humorous residents the staff is friendly and caring

The new management has really improved the overall experience for my relative. The care she has received has contributed to her positive experiences and improvement for her mental and physical well-being. Only suggestion would be to maintain wi-fi and sheet changing services.

I really enjoy my life at El Dorado for 5.5 years. My apartment is very comfortable, and the dedicated staff works hard to see that we are content and enjoying life. Many choices for meals and activities and friendly residents. The building has just been freshly and delightfully remodeled! Come see for yourself!

Maintenance is slow and doesn't respond in a timely manner. (air conditioning - water leaks) in the apartment. Elevators were broken for 3 weeks. All the people in wheelchairs and walkers were stuck upstairs and not able to join the others for meals. Washing machines were broken for 6 months on one side of the building. The food is not good. They claim it's "chef-prepared" but it's always lukewarm at best and not cooked properly. They have gone through about 3 chefs in the last 2.5 years.

I had the honor and pleasure to drop by the El Dorado to see the beautiful and upgrade community and I must say it is stunning. I also had the honor and pleasure of speaking with the Management Team Jessica and Sherida and they are absolutely a wonderful team. They take care of these residents and care about them. The staff is friendly and amazing. I can tell by my interaction that the residents love their management and their community. I’m very thrilled with everything they have to offer. They are 10 stars in my eyes.

The El Dorado is an award-winning retirement home community offering an affordable lifestyle with hotel-like amenities including chef-prepared meals, weekly housekeeping, and an array of activities near by Richardson. My Mom is at the El Dorado located at 714 West Arapaho in Richardson. On [date removed] she was served fried chicken that was obviously burned and inedible but they served it to her anyway. The food they serve here is not good. It is almost always cold and there is no quality control. If your parent expects to get a decent meal, this may not be the place to you want them to be. With the average rent being $[removed]/mo. you would expect the food to be good. Mealtimes are what the residents look forward to most each day.

We looked for an Independent Living retirement community for our mom and really loved The El Dorado! Mom's fixed income makes for a really tight budget so the $[removed]a month all inclusive studio will be perfect for her! All the residents kept telling us how much they enjoy living there! The staff went out of their way to help us!!

We looked around a lot for retirement communities for my mother, and really loved the El Dorado BEST!!! The food was delicious, the upgraded community and apartments looked great, prices were great, location worked, and the residents and staff were all so nice! we love this community!!

We have been touring The El Dorado since it is right near our house to sell. We really love the 2 bedroom and the back yard of this community! It's very peaceful! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We will feel so much better when we get our downsizing done and move in! They have wonderful resources to help us sell our home and downsize!

WE picked The El Dorado for my grandmother for her senior living home. She didn't want to sell her house and downsize but they had resources for us to help her pack, decide what to bring and not bring, buy her house, etc...it was all so easy and it looked so hard but wasn't. It's clean, friendly, great food, nice staff, well priced, we couldn't pick any better!!

I am helping my friend find a retirement community and we went to The El Dorado which was our favorite! The building is under construction and they are upgrading everything! It looks beautiful. We stayed for lunch and the food was great! The staff was very friendly and so were the residents. I think my friend will be very happy living there!

When I was touring senior retirement communities for my aunt, I fell in love with The El Dorado and their staff! They all were so welcoming and kind, I just knew I could trust them with my aunt's lifestyle. They have Home Health Care on the property 24/7 so I didn't have to put her in Assisted Living. I am really happy she is living there and she is really happy too.

Toured El Dorado with [name removed] and the property was nice and clean. The food at lunch was very enjoyable. Residents seemed very happy here. Centrally located and short drive to plenty of restaurants. I will be moving my mother in.

[name removed] was so helpful to me. She truly cares about the people she serves and it shines through so brightly. Everyone else was wonderful as well, but [name removed] made me feel so at home and comfortable with my decision to find a home for my loved one.
