Check in was very easy. The front desk was very helpful and answered my questions. I picked him up late afternoon. His bed was rolled up against his dresser. It rolled easily so he probably did it but couldn’t get to the few clothes he had. Communication wasn’t great but he was happy and had no complaints.

So many horrible things and then mom was taken to ER for 900 sugar, severe dehydration, so bad that if she didn't get to ER when she did she could have died. Rash from her front to her rear so bad it took weeks to heal.

The staff has always been so kind to my mother! She has not participated in any activities yet, I would love someone to come and invite her to participate! The value for what is offered is great.

They need to pay the one in charge of talking to the loved ones or the Administrator that runs the place a "marketing/ sales" fee, because she is good at selling her facility. I really wished that I had NOT been in such a hurry to where I could have looked around more. To many KEY events that have happen to my loved ones that will limit me from going into details. At least while my loved one is still there. I will be more than happy to EDIT my information once they are placed in a MORE LOVING, REPECTFUL, CARING AND HELPFUL facility. Please DON'T BE FOOLED...

Staff was very helpful, especially with the move in process. My loved one's room was not as clean as I might have liked. The receptionist, [name removed], was always so kind, caring and helpful. I appreciated the open, light atmosphere. I would recommend this facility.

Communication lacks. If you have to bring in prescribed meds, since not in a bubble pack, resident does not always get them, even if life saving meds. The people are very nice though

It had good ratings from A Place for Mom and our doctor. There was a big disconnect however. My dad did not get the care he needed. He was not kept clean. His clothes were thrown away when they didn't clean him in a timely manner. The staff was not caring or compassionate. Having been to other facilities that were very caring and responsive, I knew this facility did not meet my expectations.

The staff at TerraBella Summit was very concerned about my husband and tried to deal with his issues. They supported me during some difficult times with him. The facility is clean. The meals are adequate. I would recommend the overall experience. My husband was unhappy, but it was because of his Dementia not because of anything or anyone at TerraBella.

It was a terrible experience. [name removed] wasn't there almost two months. It started on the first day. She didn't get a door key for the first week. Didn't get a shower until she was there four days and I gave it to her myself. The aid said she was going to do it that day. But I did it myself. The aid said she hadn't been put on the schedule yet. I was told she would get therapies for her balance and falls. Never happened. I was told they would get her a walker that was suited for her. Never happened. She didn't get a remote for her cable box for a week. I told them that's all she liked to do. She was left setting in her room without cable so she couldn't even watch TV. They put her in a wheelchair and sometimes would take her to the dinning room . But she was left setting in her room and meals sent to her. I even found another patient eating her supper. Another patient that was a sleep in her room. That even the aids didn't know who she was or where she belonged. She was a new patient there and it was her 1st. Day. Poor lady didn't even know where she should be. I put Donna there mainly because she was falling at home and I couldn't be here all the time. She fell out of the wheelchair more than once and was found crawling down the hallway crying and begging for me. I was only called once. She wasn't given a nurses call button until the 4th week she was there. It never worked or they did answer it one. I pushed the button 25 times and no one ever came. I found her sitting in dried poop and wet diapers many times. When I questioned it or any other things. They just told me what I wanted to hear or some other excuse. I was told they serve chef meals. I took pictures of some of the meals being sent to her room. They look like something crape off the bottom of the pot. Myself and other family members were taking her meals almost everyday. The more I questioned things the worse things seem to get. So I decided to bring [name removed] home. The aides were forever on their cell phones or playing games etc. Not what they where there being paid for. Cussing in the halls and talking about the office staff and procedures. This is not professional nor excepted. TerraBella Summit could be a great place with the right help, training and staff. It's a beautiful place and with the right administrative staff and dietary needs who knows. But right now it's not even a good daycare. Best wishes as you grow and make changes. I just feel bad for the ones without a voice.

The cleanliness of the community gets 5+ stars. With the friendliness of the staff we give it a 4 star because I'd say they are a 5 with the residents, but a 3 to our family. Friendly to me is being acknowledged with a little more than the answer to a question or no acknowledgment of there's not a question. For our family when it comes to the care, when we needed to advocate for two concerning needs for our loved one, pro-active action wasn't taken. They just dealt with the issue each time it arose. When I saw this was the case I wrote it off to being understaffed or having so many residents that our issues weren't as important to them as to us. The meals and dining gets 5+ stars as well, I'd be a patron of this were a restaurant! With activities I'd give 4 stars because they allow the outside community to bring in good quality entertainment. Music, preaching, therapy dogs and when staff celebrates each holiday it's over the top. I think Legacy occupational therapy gets involved with non-holiday events and it's a beautiful team effort. Ex: A 50's party Food, games, highly decorated, dancing and a sound system that was great. I can see the Legacy staff and TerraBella staff involved were genuinely enjoying hosting that party. Not sure how often parties like this happen though. Now...I learned after choosing TerraBella that due to understaffing, the activities director wasn't able to do her job full-time...basically, any time...because she had to be the fill-in due to low staff or staff that didn't show up. I felt misled when we chose TerraBella and learned that the big monthly activities calendar on the wall did not portray an accurate picture of the 'activities' that actually go on. I saw recently that the calendar for the public to view has been whittled down to show a more accurate picture of what goes on. And I'm happy they showed integrity in that. Because Legacy occupational therapists are there every day...residents do get their one on one attention from them. They will take them on a walk or wheelchair stroll or do therapy games for the residents who pay for their service thru Medicare(in our case). This I rate a 5. Overall a 4 for this question. An activities director who could be left to play that role would be good, but I understand that at most places it's not feasible. I wish we hadn't needed to advocate for our loved one as much as we did in those two situations needing proactive action. But ...I'd rate TerraBella at 5+ compared to where we transferred in from. There's no option for 4.6 which is what I'd truly rate them. I hope our loved one gets to stay here a long time. And I hope TerraBella remains as wonderful as it is...as I believe advocating and getting slow response is par for a facility with dementia patients. The fear of pushing too much for pro activity is that our LO has mood issues which I fear he cd be removed for (in my mind) and so you learn to gently ask for re-addressing of concerns and hope that they will respond more quickly if at all.

I toured this facility and it was nice. The tour was very good!
The staff at Terrabella Summit they were very informative with any question you asked, they always had an answer right away - we never had to wait a day or two for them to get back to us. I would absolutely recommend this facility to other families looking.

Terrabella was awful all the way around. We went with this facility because it had great reviews and it was recommended to us, but that must have been under their old management. I came in to visit one day and my loved one was very sick and coughing so hard that he could barely catch his breath. He fell multiple times, he had skin tears, and an awful bed sore. He only got 2 showers in the few weeks that he was here. They lost a lot of his laundry that we had sent with him and his room was not clean. We pulled him out and no one ever called to check in on him, they just called to ask when they could close out his room. I would never recommend the facility to anyone.

Our tour was great. The facility was beautiful and very clean. We were looking for a little more freedom for my mom to come and go as she pleased.
We chose Pendleton Manor because the price and we went and toured the facility and I liked what I saw. The staff members were right there whenever he needed them and they were very helpful to me as well. The room sizes here in general were pretty average. The food was very good, I ate here several times. The food was prepared by a chef. I would recommend the facility.

I would want others to know when looking into Pendleton Manor that everything has been perfect. We have been very happy with the service and care for my mom that they have provided. They treat her like I treat her. She is so happy and so are we. They call me regularly if there is ever any issue whatsoever, they always keep me well informed and we are happy with it. I sleep well at night knowing she is safe here.

A Place for Mom has scored TerraBella Summit 7.7 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
