Elmcroft Of Northridge has a good value, and is a very secure community. It is not huge, and there is a good amount of staff members per resident from what we have seen. It is in a quiet location which is nice, and it is reasonably clean. It also looks very welcoming.

The communication process at the community is difficult. The phone system in particular doesn't work very well and makes it hard to reach the staff by phone. The staff seems to take extra care to be nice to the residents to make them feel good. The care my loved one is receiving is good, however the are not very communicative about what that care is exactly. When he moved in, we expected to receive regular feedback about his care, however, that has yet to happen. The activities director is delightful and seems to enjoy doing what she's doing, which reflects positively on the activities provided. Compared to other communities, Elmcroft of Northridge is definitely a good value. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Elmcroft has been particularly good about ensuring the residents are protected. They have been taking precautions as they should and the residents feel safe.

Elmcroft has really become home to my mother. She loves it there and I feel like she's safe there. Every single person I've met has been wonderful to my mother and to me. I'm so grateful for the staff there from the Director to the CNAs to the custodians. They really take care of her at if she's their mom. There is no better feeling than to know your mom is safe. I'm very happy with our decision to go with Elmcroft!!!

If you want to send the last days, hours, and minutes with your loved one be sure NOT to have them at Elmcroft. From personal experience, I can tell you there is a no spending the night policy at this facility which is a choice (dictated by the executive director). I called the state to verify Your relative may be unconscious in hospice care and you the health power of attorney and you will be told you can not stay. In fact, the director will not meet with you but will pass you off to another staff member. She puts on a great show for inspection and renting units. Drop by sometime for a surprise visit. This is only the beginning of the lack of communication and fine print no one tells you. Beware! FYI All the wonderful staff reviews were “encouraged” by getting a name put in for a big screen TV drawing.

My mother has been in this facility for 4 months and I can't say enough good things about the staff and the way they treat my mother. If I could give them 10 stars I would. Mom has specials needs and is a bit of a firecracker but that never deters them from making sure she is comfortable and has all her needs met. I show up quite a bit ( Breakfast / Lunch and Dinner ) I try to mix it up just to see what's really going on. They keep them busy everyday. Church sing along / Art classes / Bingo / Nails Panted / Physical Therapy. You name it. We are the lucky ones as we know mom is in great hands. The Facilities Director [name removed] is amazing and runs a tight ship. You really can't ask for more. All the staff really care about what is happening around them at all times. They all go above and beyond from the minute you walk in and are greeted by [name removed] all the way to the activity's leader [name removed]/ LPN [name removed]/ [name removed]/ [name removed]/ [name removed]/ [name removed]. There are 3 that I just want to mention that no matter what just absolutely make it happen no matter the situation with mom. [names removed]. I can't tell you how amazing they are all are but these 3 stars shine bright and I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. God bless all of them for the effort they put in daily. If your thinking of putting your mom or dad here you can't go wrong. This is the place you can trust with your family. We visited as a family over 25 places and I can't tell you how lucky we are to have mom here. Blessings, [name removed]

The place is nasty and need to be torn down Run bugs and roaches everywhere. Not happy

Worst place ever. Too many roaches and bed bugs. Never have I ever seen so many roaches. This is a nightmare from [removed] only not elm Street but elmcroft. Service is horrible. They barely bath the residents here I know because when they came in they thought I was sleep and I watch them just put clothes on my roomate. They didn't even run water.management being friendly. Now thats a joke. They are only nice to us when state is in the building or head quarters come. Rooms are small. Employees are not treated fair. The worst turn over rate. Always a new face. I listened to the workers talk how they are often force to work so much because they are always short and underpaid. run while you can. They will sell u a car with no tires. I paid all this money and only to in the end find somewhere else to stay. The food is terrible. They say we have choices but I didn't see how. They want your money. Please run run run stay away. The place is nasty and need to be torn down

I am very pleased with the care my Dad is getting. The staff are very caring and they treat their residents like they are their own family member. Anytime I walk in to visit I'm greeted by everyone which makes me feel like a friend instead of just a family member. Once per month they invite family for a themed dinner, which has been a lot of fun. The food is excellant and the residents get a 3 course meal of their choice daily. I am very pleased and recommend Elmcroft to anyone who may be undecided if this is the right decision for their loved ones.

My Experience with Elmcroft is wonderful. They are professional and caring not just for the guests but for us as the family. I found that the Memory Unit is staffed with people that have been there a long time and really care about their guests. They treat them with respect and understanding. We have chosen the best place. By far the fav of the 3 toured so far. [name removed] was personable not only with me but with staff and every resident she came across. Sounds like a perfect fit for Dad in this family like setting but pricing may be too high.

Awful place! My relative was in the memory care and it's not well staffed, everyone is new including management. They don't follow up with requests, they don't give the residents baths and they don't offer activities. I was told they were in-between activity directors - for months?! They charge a high rate for inexperience support, please don't put your love one here!

I was not impressed at all with the way this community looked. The hall ways were long and dark and I did not see many of the residents out of their apartments. I just did not feel that my wife would be a good fit here as she is still very active and likes to be around people she can talk with.

They did great for the time they were used. The staff were good for the most part. Towards the end they were not as good. There were visitors seeing that he was not well and they told the nurse but it took some time until they checked on them.

The care at this community is outstanding. The staff have made him feel at home. I am happy with the care that my husband is receivng. The menu is very good and a outstanding and I have enjoyed the meals with him . I like knowing that he is happy with the activitires and he likes alot of the music. The staff are working on getting him more involved. I would highly recommend the care and the value of this community to other families .

My sister and I are very pleased with the staff. They are great to our mother and Mom loves the way the staff treats her. She always says they are so good and respectful to her. She also says the food preparation and the cleanliness far exceeded her expectations. We are very pleased with Elmcroft and [removed], [removed] and [removed] have done a great job with our Mom. We have already referred 3 potential residents to Elmcroft and we will refer more when the need arises. Thanks very much to Elmcroft and their fine and caring staff.

My father is doing well at this community. He is safe, and in receiving great care. The staff is very good. The community looks great, everything is very well-kept. I'am pleased with all they have done for us.

We really liked this community. the staff was very nice and accommodating with us. We got to see the rooms and the dining area. Everything seemed real nice and kept up. We just thought that it was a little bit further than we wanted dad.

The tour was very thorough. It made us feel a lot better about bringing our parents to this facility. Robyn was very helpful and caring.
