My loved one was previously a resident at Spring Arbor of Raleigh and the facility/experience was not good. [Name removed], the Regional Director, is the best but the facility setting was not. The facility needs renovation and better management. My loved one's roommate's urinary incontinence left a consistent strong odor. This roommate should have been accommodated in a single occupancy, at the same rate, so that Spring Arbor does not lose residents.

Our family had an in person tour with Spring Arbor and it was our first choice, but they had a fire and had to move all their residents just as I was about to go back and talk to them again. I think my mother would have been the most active person in the memory care section.
My loved one was a resident at Spring Arbor of Raleigh until they had a fire recently, which unfortunately displaced most of the residents. The staff at this facility was great. My loved one really liked the place. I liked it too, from my very first visit. Everything was great about my loved one's experience at this facility. It really was a great place!

They have had some recent changes in staffing at the cottage where my family member is that has made communication difficult. Per their own admission they have not had a full time cleaning staff in a while but recently they have had someone there and it is improving. The staff team is excellent. They have been wonderful with my dad. My dad is actually gaining weigh. They are always doing something. I think it's very reasonable

Spring Arbor is a fantastic place. I totally recommend it. Spring Arbor is a really nice place. It's small and it's a very close community. They take care of their residents. My wife's mother was there and my mother was there. That's how good it is.

I am so thankful for Spring Arbor of Raleigh. My mom moved in approximately three months ago and is absolutely thriving. The facility is quaint and extremely clean. They have fun, novel activities, a wide variety of high quality food options, and the care is top-notch. Every single staff member takes a genuine interest in really getting to know their residents and meeting their individual needs. They are all so kind, transparent, organized and responsive. Thank you, Spring Arbor of Raleigh!

This was a good community. My loved one wanted to be near their hometown in another state.
Compared to other places I toured, Spring Arbor of Raleigh didn't seem very organized and wasn't as clean. It just didn't seem like the place for my family member.
I really liked this facility but the atmosphere was not what we were looking for. It was darker and we were looking for something that was more bright and cheery.
This community looked very good just at the end it came down to the one that we felt was located in the best place and that the care and providers that were offered fit our loved ones needs. The tour was good.
From what we have seen of the community it is clean, the staff have been friendly over the phone. They are doing activities like movies, in place exercises, getting your nails and have birthday celebrations. It is extremely expensive but you do get what you pay for.

I would want others to know that in the very beginning I had always told them I wanted them to stay in touch with me on a weekly basis letting me know how my dad is doing. I never got any of that. He refused assistance with a shower and they never did any body or skin checks. If it weren't me for insisting on going in, they would have never seen some of these things. His hygiene has taken a big hit since he has been in here. I took him to the dermatologist and it was a full body check and they did not put underwear on him before. They do have fun activities going on but when he says no they do not encourage him to participate. The value for the money is not here. Overall, I am not pleased with our experience.

The staff are very professional and have done a wonderful wonderful job with COVID. They have not had any out breaks at the community. They always inform me of what is going on, they have just been fantastic.

We have been very happy with this community so far, the exterior appearance of this facility is very attractive. With COVID we have not been able to go inside and see the interior, but we were able to see it through virtual videos and the living spaces seem to be quite nice and adequate. The food is pretty good and they offer a variety of food for the residents to choose from.

For what we get, I'm not happy with the community not following my directions. I'm not getting any follow up or updates as well. They recently raised the prices. Due to this change, I will be moving my loved one out of this community. They try to care for my loved one, but I feel they don't try to encourage my loved one enough. The community overall is good and I am pleased. They have kept COVID out of the community with staff and residents.

Loved the Wellness program and they seem to go a little above the norm in regards to attention to the resident. Technology seems to be a step above as well. [Name removed] was great! The biggest drawback is the suite setup. There’s no privacy, personal living space is tiny and sharing a bathroom is not ideal. You would think that the cost would be less for shared space as well.

Excellent experience touring this community. Staff are extremely friendly and willing to help. The activity calendar includes a lot of great options for people of different skillsets and the food is very good. This community has regular assisted living and a locked memory care area for people with Alzheimer's or dementia. The memory care area has a great feel and has specialized programming. All the residents seem to enjoy life at this community and they all seem happy.

My mother was admitted to the memory care unit at Spring Arbor called the Cottage Care unit. The unit is small, but this is a good thing for people with limited mobility and dementia. The staff have been very warm and caring. They take very good care of the residents. I have been there a number of times in the past 3 months and have hardly ever smelled anything unpleasant. The food is so-so. The activities are limited, but this is because the residents are quite limited in what they are able to do. Overall, I would say Spring Arbor is an excellent value. I'm very happy we moved my mother here.

I really did like this community, but unfortunately my wife ended up needing more care than they were able to provide. It is a nice facility to live, and everyone is very kind. It is a good community for someone that don't require much care. We did enjoy our time in this community.

A Place for Mom has scored Spring Arbor of Raleigh 8.4 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
