The new flowers and resident gardens are very beautiful. I really loved watching the residents care for the plants. The community was clean and the staff were very friendly and attentive. I recommend this community to everyone

She was loved and cared for wonderfully by the folks at Morningside and through The Transitions Hospice program during her end of life journey. Angels on earth...all of them! They were amazing from the time mom arrived as a resident until her passing.

Morningside is a bright and friendly place. My parents are still having some issues adjusting but the staff really seem to care. There have been some small hiccups along the way but all problems have been resolved immediately.

We appreciate your compliments for our team and how they have been going the extra mile to help your parents get adjusted to life at Morningside -- and how they have quickly resolved any issues you've mentioned to them. We are honored your parents call Morningside of Raleigh their home and are committed to working with them and you to ensure they get fully acclimated to life here.
I feel very comfortable with the facility and staff. I tend to be quite nervous in many situations, but the staff seems to be understanding of that and makes an effort to put me at ease. Also, the facility has a relaxing atmosphere. [Name removed] was great and made the paperwork as painless as possible. I am a 'family' of one (no siblings or spouse/children) and he understood how that could make me feel nervous and worked with me keeping it in consideration. Since my mom can still pick up when I am ill at ease and reacts badly to it, this is important and she seems to be more comfortable than at the previous facility. The move-in was a bit bumpy, which is usually the case, but the last week of holidays complicated pre- move in procedures. But everything worked out. Small families may need to get lifting assistance for the physical part from friends, etc. I got a transport service for Mom's trip since she is in a wheelchair. She gets excited about riding, but it can be quite difficult to transport her. Mom really enjoys the food and everything I have tasted has been first-rate. The rooms have individual temperature control and a full private shower and bath, amenities that were missing at the previous facility. The temperature is important because Mom has always been cold-natured and now it is even more of a concern. So she can always go to her room to warm up, if need be. I would definitely recommend Morningside to families seeking memory care for their loved one(s). The layout of the building is secure for memory care but also visitor - friendly since it is on a different floor and the only way in is the elevator. This means you don't have to wait outside to be let in like most places, but it is secure. And I am looking forward to the Valentine's Day party for residents and families!

We were glad to read that she has settled into life here, that she loves the food, and that our individual temperature controls are helping to keep her warm and comfortable. I have an on going battle with the lady who does book keeping. What they invoice is incorrect and frustrating. It's gotten to the point that I've looked at other places to move mom. I will say that The nursing staff seem to be very friendly. Mom really likes her room.

So far everything has gone well. My mom has been there 7 weeks and seems to be adjusting better than at first. Everyone has been very friendly and the location is great!

I was talked into paying up front to get a rate that would not change in the future. This included a fee for repainting the room after she left. Before she could move in, a room opened up in a facility near our home that would save me over an hour of travel time on each visit. They refused to refund any of the money including the fee for fixing up after she left.

Our family had an in person tour with Morningside of Raleigh and it would of been unsafe for her. Horrible bathrooms, but the residents did look healthy and were actively participating in what was going on while I was there. They did remove the carpeting which means no padding in case of a fall.

The facility itself is set up to be very welcoming immediately when you walk in. Light, bright and comfortable. The staff, particularly [name removed] was extremely helpful in making the move from New York to North Carolina happen for Mom in the most seamless ways possible. The staff has welcomed my 100 year old mom with open arms.

I would tell a friend that the community is located in a great place and is priced really well. They welcomed my mom in warmly. They seem to have the typical problem hiring and retaining med staff! Their communication is pretty good. No complaints.

I'll give a 5 to all except activities, not because I don't think it's deserved but because of my husband's condition he was not able to participate in any so I can't judge it. All the staff, nursing, administrative, meals and maintenance are so friendly and caring. I really appreciate the care and attention my husband received. All these things make the value of cost worth it. One notable thing, there were fresh flowers every day! Morningside staff deserve the recognition. One thing: the support I received during the illness and passing of my husband was priceless.

The tour with Morningside was great, they were thorough and answered all of our questions. It is a medium sized facility, not too big not too small. The location was just too far for our family.

We took a virtual tour and during the tour the community looked like it could be update a bit, especially in the entry way and hallways. The staff was nice that I spoke with during the tour.

Was very impressed with the wide range of knowledge of the person who met with me and gave me the tour. Also, although her job isn’t working with the residents, she knew them. Was candid and didn’t try to paint Morningside as being “perfect”.
