My brother and I can’t say enough about Stonebrook Village. Since we obtained an Assisted Living Apartment for our Mom, we have been extremely grateful and thankful we found such an amazing place for our Mom. Everyone and everything from the front desk, individual staff offices, dining room and waitstaff, nurses, aides, cleaning and maintenance staff are impressive. They are professional, compassionate, supportive, and extremely attentive to their residents and their families. They offer nutritious chef cooked meals, a pub, a movie theater, musical concerts and shows, a gym, and a number of various social activities. It is no wonder that they are rated #1 on the national organization entitled “A Place For Moms”. For any elderly man or woman or couple, I highly recommend Stonebrook Village for the quality of life and care this residence provides.... Read more

Just moved in a week ago. The staff has been excellent. They are courteous, pleasant and helpful. The residence itself is clean and well maintained. The few apartment issues were addressed immediately and well. The dining facilities are excellent and dining staff top flight.

My husband and I have lived at Stonebrook since July 2023. We are very happy here. We have a very large, two bedroom apartment which includes two bedrooms and two full baths. We also have laundry facilities in our apartment, There are many great activities. We also have a movie theater, beauty shop and gym. So far, we’ve had no negative issues. We highly recommend Stonebrook.

Response from Stonebrook Village at Windsor Locks
August 3, 2023Thank you for the very nice compliment! We are pleased to hear that you had a good tour. We work hard to ensure our staff is knowledgeable and our Maintenance Director and his team work hard to ensure our building always looks good for our residents, and our visitors. Our Stonebrook Village team is proud of what we do! Thank you for visiting us!
I only had a few days to find a place. Chose because it is a few miles from my daughter in case of any emergencies that may arise. I would recommend. Very nice place. Staff helpful but I'd a little pricey.

July 5, 2023Thank you for choosing Stonebrook Village at Windsor Locks. We are so happy that we could make this move happen quickly for you as we know it can be a stressful time when there are time constraints involved. We love our community and our staff works hard to meet the needs of everyone here. We hope that your loved one (and you) will be pleased with what we offer and that you find the value in the cost. Thank you again!
I would recommend it to others. I feel that my mother is safe and well cared for.The staff is wonderful - the dining staff, care staff, maintenance, front office, everyone. You can tell they genuinely care about the residents. Everything is clean and tidy.My mom liked the religious services and activities available.

Response from Stonebrook Village at Windsor Locks
June 16, 2023Thank you so much for your kind words about Stonebrook Village and its staff. We are happy to know your mom is doing things that she enjoys and that you feel good having her here! We work hard to make Stonebrook Village a great place and we appreciate that our efforts are noticed. Thank you!
I worked with my single (unmarried, no children) and financially independent younger brother to help get him placed in an independent living apartment at Stonebrook. He is the type of person who is very particular and opinionated about many things and has always liked to have things done for him, and has no desire to be cooking meals or doing housekeeping, which he is now provided with. So far, he seems to be quite comfortable and happy at Stonebrook, is participating in group activities there, and regularly using their transportation services. He finds Stonebrook to be a facility that suits his needs, and is a very nice place that is a step above run-of-the-mill nursing homes, but not as elaborate or elite (or as expensive) as some of the resort-style senior living facilities available in the area.

Response from Stonebrook Village at Windsor Locks
May 25, 2023Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased that your brother is enjoying life at Stonebrook Village and we are happy that he is taking advantage of the amenities that we offer. We appreciate the he chose Stonebrook!
Value for cost - this one is the most difficult to answer. Although I know this facility to be with in the range of all the others in this area with the same care. I find the cost to be extremely expensive. Then there is an extra [fee removed] a month if the resident needs to be hand feed. I observed the feeding. The attendant was on the cell phone 80 percent of the time. If they are not feeding they are sitting around watching. I think they can do all three things at the same time with the number of attendants that are there and not charge for feeding. My personal opinion. Thank you. Also had a bit of a problem with billing.

Response from Stonebrook Village at Windsor Locks
May 25, 2023Thank you for providing this feedback.. I'm sorry you had a bump in the road with billing and we will certainly look into the issue you note about staff being on their phones. We take this constructively so that we can do better in the future.
Good community, it was further from family than we wanted.
I'm very happy because of the personal attention they provide. Within a week, everyone in contact with my loved one knew my name as well, which was very impressive. Everybody on the staff is very friendly - they are the number one good thing at Stonebrook Village.

My aunt has been there for a couple of months now, I believe she is reasonably happy. She said she was speaking with some of the older residents and they informed her it is getting worse, which has her nervous. We as our family have absolutely no complaints and are very happy with our choice to move our loved one into Stonebrook Village at Windsor Locks. The staff has always been warm, welcoming , caring and very friendly to us.
They do not listen to families concerns and they are rude when you talk to them, especially the nurses and they are not respectful of your wishes. The staff is transient. I would not recommend them to others.

For most part things are good. Have had an issue with scheduling for dr appt. transport. It was missed. An issue with paperwork being delayed for long term care ins. But it did go through. We are working out the kinks. And adjusting. Care is good. Food is good. Activities seem adequate.

Of course you never truly know how a community will be until your loved one moves in. But the person I met with on the tour was very friendly, and the place looked lovely. It was just just too far away from where I live.
We chose Stonebrook Village because of the convenient location as well as we were in urgent need and they availability. I think the staff members seem to be very caring and friendly. I would recommend them to others who are looking.

We chose Stonebrook Village because it was closest to family and the room sizes seemed to be better than others that we looked into, they were also better kept. They have been good with communication throughout everything that has been going on by sending things like newsletters and emails. I would recommend them to others looking.

We chose Stonebrook Village because of the size of the apartments, the proximity to family, and the facility itself is newer construction so it is very clean and progressive. They do have nurses available 24/7 which is a huge plus. I would tell others that I do think it is important for others families to request open communication and talk with them about what your expectations are. I think the facility is an excellent choice for those who are more independent and just needing few services, I think they would be happiest. I would recommend them.

It is a nice place. I believe each experience will differ. The food was good, and I liked it. The atmosphere was nice. It was larger one bedroom with a view. The staff was good when calling to check on my loved one. I was surprised of the additional costs due to additional support staff for my loved one.

It has been awhile since we have been able to go and visit, but when we did visit this community was very clean. The place is brand new, it is a beautiful place. The staff members and director are very very friendly, and the activities they did have before COVID were fantastic. It is also a smaller community which we liked. We also were able to eat multiple meals and the food is fantastic!

The people are wonderful. They are always cleaning; they clean the banisters, the doors, the door knobs and my mother is very happy with this. The staff says hi whenever they see me and they are all very friendly. It seems like my mother is paying a lot as they just switched her from independent to assisted living and it doesn't seem like they have added a lot of care given the price increase. My mother seems to like it here and it was a big change after she moved from Florida. Overall, she really likes the community and seems to be happy here.
