I places my family member in HarborChase of Evergreen 6 months ago. The place is pretty new and the ALMC is very open and airy. The private rooms are spacious like a studio apartment. The Care Partners & Nurses (& Director) have staff turnover like other places but they are very compassionate and know their clients very well. They have activities that are geared towards maintaining as much memory as they can. They take them out weekly for rides, lunch, events. My family member seems very happy. when I bring him back after a day out he always is happy to be back & has to socialize with everyone. I’ve rated them a 4 out of 5 because there is always room for improvement. However I do highly recommend that you take a tour and consider HarborChase... Read more

Expertly trained team members strive to provide the highest level of custom-tailored care. Here, seniors can lead an active lifestyle while receiving care that supports their unique needs. Seniors can participate in the ever-evolving calendar of activities or take advantage of the community’s luxurious amenities. Socialize with peers at the Fusion Cocktail Lounge, or enjoy the fresh air while relaxing in the outdoor courtyard, complete with a fountain and firepit.
For those with Alzheimer’s and other dementias, this community offers two different types of memory care neighborhoods — The Sound and The Cove. The Sound is the transitional memory care unit that is specifically designed for those with mild to moderate memory loss, while The Cove is for those in the more advanced stages. The staff are kind and helpful. I feel as though my mom is safe and taken care of there. The food is good and my mom enjoys the trips. It is expensive but it feels worth the cost.

Harbor Chase is a disappointment due to patients are not being cleaned, missing clothing and patients beds aren't made daily nor are linen being cleaned just to name a few downsides!

I work in the industry and HarborChase is one of places I come to see patients. The managers in charge don’t seem to know what’s happening most of the time in their own building. Nursing seems to care but they don’t have enough help. I prefer working in some of the other nearby communities because they run more smoothly and seem to have happier and healthier residents

We all as the entire family rate a 5 in all categories! AS hard as it was placing mom somewhere, I leave on my visits knowing she is cared for and genuinely loved by her care givers!! ALL the staff are friendly and kind! The food is very good! Mom says it's terrific! We have instantly become family there!

The community is new, well staffed and the cleanliness of the entire place is perfect. If we ever had a problem, question, or concern or our loved one presses their help button the response time is immediate. Right now when it comes to the portion sizes our loved one is not getting enough and even complains about still being hungry. Besides the portion sizes the value for the money is great and we would recommend Harbor Chase to other families

The atmosphere is great, it is a brand new facility so we are very very pleased with the friendliness of the staff and the overall cleanliness. We have had some trouble with the staff specifically the aids which can be common in these type of communities. However the administrative team has really stepped up and addressed all the issues. Based on our experience so far we would recommend this community to others.

great community, great people!
I toured this community and really liked the setup as it was very modern. They had nice meal options that were similar to a college or university dining system. I thought it was great that they had a bar, for those who want to socialize. I also thought it was nice that they protected their memory care unit by keeping it separate. We did not choose this community because the rooms did not seem specifically designed for handicapped individuals. There were no huge complaints, it just did not fit my loved ones needs.
My dad is not very happy here. A lot of things that they said they had or would have in the beginning, they do not. They have a van but it is sitting in the parking lot with no license plate. He gave his car away when he moved here, so now we have to take him to the store, all of his appointments, etc. The food started off really good but then it went downhill quickly. There have not been many new residents coming in and so he has not been able to make many friends. The staff walk into his room without even knocking so he does not feel like he has any privacy. It is definitely not what we thought it was going to be.

A Place for Mom has scored HarborChase at Evergreen Walk 8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
