Stonebrook Village at Windsor Locks

My brother and I can’t say enough about Stonebrook Village. Since we obtained an Assisted Living Apartment for our Mom, we have been extremely grateful and thankful we found such an amazing place for our Mom. Everyone and everything from the front desk, individual staff offices, dining room and waitstaff, nurses, aides, cleaning and maintenance staff are impressive. They are professional, compassionate, supportive, and extremely attentive to their residents and their families. They offer nutritious chef cooked meals, a pub, a movie theater, musical concerts and shows, a gym, and a number of various social activities. It is no wonder that they are rated #1 on the national organization entitled “A Place For Moms”. For any elderly man or woman or couple, I highly recommend Stonebrook Village for the quality of life and care this residence provides.

Without a doubt every member of the staff has gone the extra mile to insure that Mom has gotten the best of care in a secure enviornment. It's easy access to visit Mom from my own home which is only 8 minutes away.

Overall it was a good fit for [name removed]. We had some issues with staff who worked so much but the letter of their assignments sometimes it felt callous and at one point [name removed] said she needed to hire someone to come in and pick up where staff refused to help. Meals were good and having alternate choices- not on the menu- was very welcome. Best thing was the balcony that we're lucky enough to get. She loved being outside, and having her little dog outside was a blessing. She also loved plants and gardening on her balcony was a pure delight.

I have been going to Stonebrook Village for men for at least 3 1/2 years as a community partner. We service patients within the building and the staff has been Good at making sure their residents get the services they need. The building is beautiful and located right off the highway for those who are coming from Massachusetts or just lower Connecticut. I've worked with their other buildings throughout the state and I can say the same about those as well.. I recommend this place for those looking for assisted living lifestyle to move into

Everything about my sister in law's admission was perfect. And this is high praise from a retired RN supervisor in LTC for 44 years! [name removed], the resident to be, her brother and I were greeted and toured the facility by [name removed], who knew everything about the facility and answered all our questions. The sign-in part was very well planned and paperwork was organized and complete. From the time of our tour to today's visit, every employee was welcoming, cordial and pleasant. All the staff has continued being gracious 4 months later which told me that employees weren't groomed to be this way for "the people touring today......" When there was a problem, it is taken care of quickly. The meals are restaurant quality and guests can eat with the resident they are visiting for a small charge. Housekeeping does a great job on a weekly clean, but are accessible when resident has a need. The CNAs are quality trained who respect visitors as well as the resident. Our family is happy!!!!

My husband is in the memory care unit. The staff is attentive to his needs as he is non verbal and has difficulty with understanding. Truly I feel blessed every time I walk through the door thet he is well taken care of.

My dad was here at stone brook village 22 yrs. He loved the place. He was really comfortable here. The staff was really attentive to his needs. Always checking on him. Loved the meals also. Also let us know how he was doing.

Everything a 5! Meals and dining maybe a 4. They have been shrinking the size of the individuals meals. Yes, we would wholeheartedly recommend this community to other families. They say they have nurses on staff. But they hide when you are hoping for advice or suggestions!

For the most part favorable. The accommodation are very large for apartments. Draw back ? staps turnover. Not notified of new people in new roles. I pay my parent's bills- and I have given my information over & over again. Not being notified of change of the POA.

The only problem I have with this place is the food is plain and repitious. Everything else is good. It’s clean well maintained the staff is always helpful. Activities are definitely geared to old people and not so much for the able bodied unless you like playing cards.

I would recommend this facility to others for their loved ones. Good food, good service. The staff was friendly and kept me informed. The care was very good and my father took awhile to adjust, but settled in well.

I am agent for a younger brother who is living there in an Independent Living apartment, is totally self-sufficient at this point, and is probably one of the youngest residents there. I'm not cognizant of everything they are doing there, but they have added new pub and exercise facilities and some type of unit for transitioning from assisted living to memory care, have made a lot of cosmetic upgrades to the property, and there has been a lot of top staff turnover, including the director. They have been making some property improvements and ongoing organizational and staff changes there in the last year. Not sure what effect this will have on the residents, but I believe it's intended to be beneficial. The prices have also increased.

A very welcoming & supportive environment. Lots of qualified & compassionate staff, CNA, nursing, activity & all floor staff including dining room wait staff, front desk staff & transportation staff.

Staff is always willing to step in when needed - they're great! Residents quickly make friends while participating in numerous activities.

Staff here is outstanding. Everyone is very helpful to my mom. Mom feels safe here, residents and staff work very good together.

I have been a resident for over a year. Stonebrook feels like a caring community. All of the staff and residents lookout for each other. You feel safe and loved.

I am very comfortable and happy here. Everyone, staff and residents are very pleasant people, especially the lady at the front desk. The nursing staff are always there if I need help or just to answer questions.

I have been at Stonebrook Windsor Lock four years. I cannot imagine a better place. Top notch staff and programs.

The vilage is a good place to live. Transition was a lot easier than expected because management and the staff go out of their way to help you adjust. Large apartments, very clean facility, many activities to choose from. Visited 3 other places in the area and Stonebrook had the best apartments and services. Best bang for the buck
