Our mom was previously a resident at Silver Treasures at Orange Park. They weren't perfect of course, but issues were mostly minor and the manager and staff seemed sincerely trying to do their best for my mom. There was certainly more positive than negative and my sister and I feel that it was the best fit for her needs that we were able to find, especially since she required colostomy care and had pretty severe dementia. We were very thankful that they agreed to take our mom and that we were able to have her there rather than at a full nursing care facility.... Read more

My loved one is a new resident at Silver Treasures and most everything has been great so far. The activities need some work, I think. It's a bit too soon to tell for sure.

The staff are all very warm and accommodating and treat my mom as if they would treat their own mom. Cleanliness is important to me and the facility has never been anything less than spotless. The move-in process was easy and right from the get-go they worked with us to create a collaborative environment. [Name removed] gave us his cell phone number and encouraged us to call him at any time with easy accessibility. The Activities Director, [name removed], has been fantastic working with my mom along with, [name removed], the Physical Therapist. [Name removed] is so kind and caring. Even in spite of a very busy workday, she always takes the time to talk to us to work through any issues. Every single person that I have met so far has been very nice and it's such a nice load off of my mind to not have to worry about mom being in a safe place and well taken care of. I would highly recommend Silver Treasures to anyone looking for placement for a parent.

The staff at Silver Treasures Assisted Living at Orange Park is very attentive and caring. The rooms are cleaned often and kept up. Communication is great. I have no complaints about communicating with the staff or the owner. The meals are very tasty and healthy and freshly made. There is lots of variety, also. The facility is smaller and quieter. I would recommend Silver Treasures Assisted Living at Orange Park depending on the needs of the future resident. If the resident wants to stay busy and have lots of interaction with others, that may be something to address. It could be a great fit for some and not so much for others.

The staff wasn't keeping my loved one clean. They would keep my loved one in their room, because my loved one would get agitated. The family would find our loved one's pills in dresser drawers, under the bed, in pockets and more places. So this told the family the staff weren't watching our loved one take their medicine, and this was concerning to us. The administration reassured the family that the director over the caregivers was supposed to know how to care for memory care residents. I received a video of showing how my loved one would react when our loved was touched. The family knew how our loved one would react, and the staff and administration was aware. This was distasteful to us. We ended up my loved one out of this community and into another one due to care concerns.

We picked this community, because both my wife and I liked the facility, how they presented it, and it was more user friendly. The continual care is what stood out the most, and being able to go from asstisted living to memory care. They helped with getting funding for the VA process. They made my loved one feel at home, and they were in a caring mode. They were really good about everything.

Our experience with the management and staff has been positive, This is a relatively small facility so it is easy for staff to know and positively interact with those requiring assistance. Based on the experience we have had with Silver Treasures Assisted Living, we would recommend this community to other families.

It's a great place. I love the staff and their care of my loved one. I visited several facilities and they stood out! They provide care versus warehousing! They offer activities such; book club, bingo, bible study, and crafts. This works formy loved one because they do not like a lot of activities. He reads a lot. It is an awesome place. I recommend the facility. If the family and resident want a caring place with quiet, it is perfect. My Dad does not like a lot of people. He gets one on one interaction. It works for us (him and I).

Our family had an in person tour and the tour experience was very good, we went there once and then went again we liked it so much. However it is just a smaller facility and we were worried it wouldn't have a big stimulating environment.
My mother was in the facility not a good 48 hours. She moved in late on a Wednesday afternoon and needed to be transported to the hospital by mid Friday afternoon. While in the hospital we decided to leave her belongings at the facility because in our minds she was moving back there. While in the hospital we kept them up to date as to what was going on. My mom eventually was moved into to hospice and within a week died. When we made the decision to move her to hospice we decided to donate her stuff to the facility in which they said that they didn't have storage for it. So we then tried to make arrangements to move her stuff. While my mom was in hospice I asked about a refund of the $[removed] that I had given them. I was told that the books needed to be reconciled and they would let me know. Well needless to say I was charged a storage fee for my moms stuff because I was denied a refund. But at no time did they ask me to move my stuff as I was updating them on her condition.

We had a virtual tour with Silver Treasures and it was great. I actually liked this facility the best, but my loved one wanted to be on the other side of town closer to friends. If it were not for that, this would have been our first choice.
There were times we came there and my loved ones bed had no sheets on it. My loved one went in on a level 3 and within a month they moved her into the memory care section (level 5). We had charges for things we did not sign up for. The bill for February had added charges they added without my approval. They charged me for products she never received to her room. She seems to be happy there.

I would recommend you wait a bit until they have grown a bit in population. They don't have enough residents to have additional activities. They do bingo and exercises everyday for activities. They seem to be a bit unorganized.

Nice and new. Staff seems very friendly. Limited outdoor space. About $50,000 to $70,000 per year to live there depending on care level.

We chose Silver Treasure because if my mom deteriorated she could stay in the same facility and not have to move. I feel like she has a mini apartment, they are good sized rooms. She complained about the food in the beginning, but now they have a new chef and he cooks good, fresh foods. I like that the facility is small especially with COVID, they didn't have to isolate as much. One of the complaints I have is that physical therapy wants my mom to walk and the director and staff members say that they do not have the time to do that with her. There are some outstanding employees here that I am very grateful for in these tough times.
