Our family's experience would recommend, overall a nice facility with caring staff that seem like family.

Overall it's fine there and I never have to worry that my parent isn't safe. Everyone there tries their best. The place could be kept cleaner in my opinion. I see the staff hard at work cleaning, but some areas look disgusting. I know it's hard. Several staff members have left but overall the staff have been nice. It's really, really hard when a staff member leaves because my parent has to get used to a whole new person she doesn't recognize. I realize it's an extremely hard job. Quality of care would probably be better with more staff. Some of the better staff have left but there are a couple of "superstars" still there. Presently my parent has temporary staff from an outside caregiving agency assigned to her room. She never knows who she's going to get and they don't "know" her and her idiosyncrasies. The meals aren't very good at all and don't seem or look nutritious. The activities are the best part about the place is the lady who does the activities! Too bad she can't be there seven days a week. Mom is bored when the activity person isn't there. I wish they could clone her. This past year has been manageable for our budget and a great value, however I was told the prices will increase substantially for the upcoming year and that makes me worry)... Read more

A nice tour

We really liked this community when we toured it and the people we met were nice. This is a multi level community and we were looking for a one floor community.

Mom's Choice for care

I like this community for the great care that is received. The staff is always caring and friendly. They have a nice variety of meals that are served. They do have activities for the residents who are able to participate. My mom wanted this community and we would recommend the care and the value to other families for good care for a loved one.

Our Tour Went Well

This is a nice community, and our tour of it went well. The staff was kind, and informative. Our questions were answered. The community looked good, everything was clean from what we saw. It was a nice experience, but I felt my mother needed more care then they were able to provide.

Husband is Comfortable at This Community

Overall my husband is doing pretty well since his move to this community. I do like the administration at this community, they have been great to work with. Like at any other community, you have really good care gives, and ones that could be better. He is happy, and comfortable. Everything is working out pretty well, and I would recommend this community.

Luxury community !!

I had made the decision after taking the tour of this community that this place was the perfect fit for my dad. Its truly a luxury place with lots of great features and amenities available to all of the residents. They have a great activity program as well as a meal plan that they provide in there facility. The administration has been wonderful at taking the time to work with me and my dad on making arrangements to get him moved in. We are looking forward to what the future has for him.

Assuring staff and homey community.

We found Brookdale The Woodlands per recommendation from A Place for Mom. They put me on the right path and the process would have been much more difficult without their guidance. We are very pleased with everything. The way they react with her is so supportive. The community is smaller and has a homey atmosphere. She was in a sunrise community in New Jersey so we felt that the transition to Brookdale would be smoother because they are similar communities.

Perfect place for my mother!!

I have been very impressed with how everything is going at this community, I could have not asked for a better experience for my mother. The key thing here is how well the staff treat her, they act if she was a family member. They all do a wonderful job at interacting with all of the residents and really putting there heart in there job. Another plus is they have a great chef on staff that serves delicious, healthy, and well balanced meals all throughout the week. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for five star service for there loved one.

The right place

I knew it from the first visit that this would be Home for my mom. I was so impressed at how the staff interacted with the residents and once I took my mom for a visit, they welcomed her and treated her as if they had known her for years. The food is actually very good with a very wide selection of meals that are nutritious. My mom likes the restaurant-style meals and interacts with other residents. The activities are endless and they encourage those less social residents to participate. Of course, a few kinks along the way but no process is always perfect. I can rest knowing my mom is so well taken care of.

Doing a good job!

I really do enjoy the staff here. They are nice and really friendly. The community is always kept clean and neat. The food is okay and my loved one does not have any complaints. The also provide a lot of activities for the residents to participate in. My only complaint is with the nursing staff in that they made a couple of errors in regard to my loved ones medications but when brought to their attention were eager and quick to fix the problem

Dinning room service is great !!

The dinning room experience has been wonderful, the servers have really taken the time to get to know my mom and have provided her with excellent service. I would say they need improvement in the cleanliness of the bedrooms. I noticed two roaches the other day on my mothers floor as well as trash throughout the room. The staff will often forget to turn on her oxygen tank during the day which is a major health issue.
