Staff is very considerate and helpful. Before submitting an application confirm there is working heating and a/c in each unit. There has been no a/c since June. And not expected to be up and running until some time in August. My sister just received a window a/c unit just last week! I would recommend this facility as long as the applicant is not fragile and would become ill without a/c.... Read more

My 100 year old father needed a 4week respite stay while my husband & I were each having major surgeries. The Prosper environment was casual & laid back, just what he needed. The Admissions/Marketing Director was a pleasure to work with & took time to make dad feel welcome. The staff was very attentive & accommodating to his needs. On the 11th day of his 4 week stay he had a health issue which necessitated an ER visit & hospitalization. His reevaluation determined he did not qualify to return for the rest of his stay. The one dis’s appointment was that he was not reimbursed for any of the remaining unused days.

My loved one's apartment was painted prior to move in, but never cleaned. I had to clean it myself, especially the bathroom and kitchen. The first or second day of move in, the cleaner came in and took a bin full of tools, extension cords, tape, command hooks etc. but never took the actual trash. We never got the items back, but did get a $150 refund from the facility. They do respond very quickly if someone presses their alert button and communication with the family is good. Despite my disappointments in the beginning, my sister and her husband like it there and are comfortable and feel safe. So, in the end, that's all that matters. I would recommend Prosper at Monastery Height to others.

What our family has found to be lacking at Prosper at Monastery Heights is the building maintenance. Our loved one certainly wouldn't notice something like that. The quality of care there is excellent.

I would highly recommend this community. They have activities like baking, art projects, they take them out to lunches, when the weather is nicer they go outside and also musical entertainment to keep the residents busy in the community. The staff I am very comfortable with taking care of my loved one.

They were always very thorough with cleaning the community. We never had to ask them to come clean. The staff was all very wonderful. My mother started in independent living, but moved to memory care for a short time. We thought they did a good job with the transition and kept her safe. Very caring people. They had good activities available for the residents as well.

The community has been clean. The staff is very attentive to the residents and respond to any requests or needs they may have. We feel my mother is in good hands and the care is very good. The staff is very cooperative. The activity director sends me photos a couple times of week of my mother participating in activities. Overall, the experience has been very good for my mother and once she moved in, we knew this is the place she needed to be.

My dad moved into this community and fell several times, one time fracturing his skull. He was transported to the hospital at least five times. We gave notice after the last fall and hospitalization, but they have continued to bill us and take an additional two months rent, although, my father has passed away. We paid for extra care services but I am not confident that he was receiving that care. I also believe that his medications were missed sometimes. I was kind to the staff and they were very nice to me. I especially felt that the caregivers, cleaning staff, dining staff, and front desk staff were very nice. I visited four communities, and we chose this community because it was an old monastery and my dad felt comfortable because it was Catholic and they offered mass. I would say to other families to be careful with the documents your sign before placing your loved one here.

Very nice residence. People were professional, kind and friendly. The place was very nicely kept. Only thing to share is watch when touring any place that rents may not be all inclusive. This way you are aware of full pricing.

My brother and I were so lucky to find this community for my mother. It is such a comfort to know she is living in such a wonderful place. [Name removed] raves about the food and always looks forward to dessert. Thank you so much for everything you do.

My grandfather moved into Monestary Heights from living in NY for over 30 years. He just lost my grandmother in July and there were lots of changes at once. He really adjusted nicely and all the staff was absolutely wonderful with him. They were willing to help him as much as he needed and were so very patient with him. He's been there for a couple of months now and he loves it. He says the food is amazing and he is making some friends along the way. Thank you again for giving my 89 year old grandpa a place to call home!

A Place for Mom has scored Prosper at Monastery Height 7.7 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
