Ponte Vedra Gardens Alzheimer's Special Care Center

Ponte Vedra Gardens advertises they care for dementia patients that suffer from aggressive behavior, which is a symptom of dementia, and the way they do it is by evicting a dementia patient that shows signs of being aggressive. After eviction it was determined that aggressive behavior can be controlled with proper medication.

Love this place for my mom! She is stimulated, well-cared for and safe. I love the all the fun they have. Staff is awesome and my mom is happy which helps with such a difficult decision. I highly recommend Ponte Vedra Gardens.

My mom is always telling anyone who visits her how nice the staff is to her and how beautiful she thinks the facility is. The fact that PVG is a dedicated memory care facility was very important to us in making our decision to move mom here from another place. She is much happier here. Covid brought challenges to the health care community, especially the long term care and dementia segment and PVG has handled this crisis exceptionally well.

My parent has been a resident of Ponte Vedra Gardens for a year. After having experienced other places, my family realizes that PV Gardens is special. Its size is intimate and that accounts for some of it, but it is the people at PV Gardens who make it exceptional. The leadership, the care givers, the staff, the people brought in to interact with the residents - everyone - has a commitment to and passion for caring for the elderly in the journey through dementia. I'm pleased my parent can be in such a vibrant and engaging environment. And, I have great peace knowing my loved one is cared for so responsibly.

My dad is well taken care of and tended to in a compassionate and kind matter. My brothers and I have peace of mind knowing that this facility takes wonderful care of our loved one. Thank you all so much for what you do!

I was very impressed by Ponte Vedra Gardens. Not only is the facility very nice, but the staff I spoke with was very cordial and welcoming. The accommodations were quite lovely with several areas that residents can use. The outside courtyard was spacious and provided a sense of serenity. I had a feeling that the staff cares deeply about the residents. I am definitely considering Ponte Vedra Gardens for my husband.

Ponte Vedra Gardens is a wonderful community whose staff are so nice and caring. Mother is being cared for and she is thriving. Since the onset of dementia, she has had her days where she is just not right. They understand and are able to soothe her and she is happy, which makes me happy. The facility is beautiful, reminding me of a top hotel. Their activities engage and entertain Mother so she doesn't get bored or lonesome. She actually has fun and when I visit, she is smiling and happy to see me. I cant stress the cleanliness of the building and the great people who work there taking care of Mother. I will be forever grateful.

Ponte Vedra Gardens offers exceptional Memory Care programming for their residents. Smiles and staff engagement are always present with a very friendly and professional management team. Clean, bright and well planned around a beautiful courtyard. Family has peace of mind knowing the care is second to none. Great choice for your loved one!

We visited several places and actually deposited in a another community, but our first impression was the Ponte Vedra Gardens felt more intimate, homelike, and natural. The building is designed in a square with an inner courtyard for the residents to flow inside and outside naturally. The activities offered are continual. My sister in law is enjoying floral arranging and has actually made friends. On the day we arrived to move her in, the staff greeted her by name and told her "it's so great to meet you", which made her feel so welcome and made us feel great about our decision on this community. The food is well thought out and healthy. The building is very clean and the staff are friendly. They communication is good and they send us pictures of her doing activities which gives us great comfort.

We placed my wife's sister in Ponte Vedra Gardens recently, having moved her to Florida from Hawaii. She adapted quickly, and now has some friends to share conversation, something she did not have living alone in Hawaii. The staff sends us pictures of her occasionally, and reports on how she is doing. All staff have been professional, caring, and helpful. I know of no complaints. I like the size of the facility, (small and intimate), and the activities provided to the residents.

The lady I had was excellent. The agency was very easy to work with. I would recommend them.

Arbor Terrace is new, its designed well with all the amenities needed to care for your loved one with a dementia! Beyond the impressive first visual is a staff that "gets it"! From the Executive Director to the Chef to the CNA's, they all understand how to care for a person challenged with a cognitive impairment. From the "Dementia Virtual Tour" (a sobering 8 minute reality of what its like to have dementia) to "Dining With Dignity" (preparing healthy meals that are easily eaten without utensils) there is a positive vibe that surrounds Arbor Terrace. The motto to all staff...care for each person as you would for the person you love the most! Think about it... What you see on their website is what you will see live! Care for people with a dementia is not easy. It must remain on point, "joining their journey" consistently and compassionately, and requires leadership to set that example. That leadership has to be involved and reinforce those expectations. To that point...I see them everywhere, and often! Even at night and on weekends. We have very high expectations of the community that cares for my sister! She deserves the very best, and I believe we have found it at Arbor Terrace!!!
