I like it I think it’s a good community. There are many pros here, and only one con that I can even see there are libraries and classes trips and Theatre the office has treated me kindly I like it my only con is the laundry room. They don’t have enough of them. They are too far away and they are not working properly. I didn’t know that when I came had I known, I probably would’ve made a different decision because the laundry facilities was number one on my list of things I had to have in order to move somewhere. I would not have moved here. Had I known the laundry were so bad they are not enough of them and if you go to the B building. There’s not even one over there at all and only one in every area, only 2 in the whole building For everyone and they don’t work properly they take your money. It’s too bad because other than that it’s a great place. Had I known what the facilities was it would’ve been a dealbreaker. I really hope they correct that if they do it would be good.... Read more

I went to the Park at Franklin for a tour for my Grandmother and I was very pleasantly surprised at this gem in my community. I had a wonderful tour and loved the amenities. They are running a great special for their facility too.

A lot of promises were made before we signed all the papers, only to find out afterwards that they were “in the process “ of setting up activities. The caregivers do not appear to be trained in dealing with dementia patients as they keep calling family members to try to resolve issues over the phone. We find ourselves directing them how to deal with the situation. Again, we were “sold” on the special care that would be required. Even the doctor is frustrated because the behavior is not out of the ordinary for a dementia patient.

March 15, 2019I am very sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with your experience and I am surprised, as we usually receive high marks for our team. Would you please call me at [removed] at your soonest convenience so we can address and resolve your concerns as quickly as possible? Thank you, Dolanda Scott, Executive Director
Nice place to live, the rooms are dated, but maintenance is very quick to make repairs. The continental breakfast has nothing "continental" about it. Oatmeal served in a pot at least 10 years old, generally lumpy and overcooked. The orange juice and cranberry juice is so watered down it's ridiculous. Cold muffins and a toaster that if you don't know how to work it, will burn your toast consistently. The housekeeping staff is a joke, they don't dust nor do they do sufficient cleaning, especially the bathrooms. If you require a caregiver, do NOT take referrals from the staff there, and if you do, PLEASE request documentation they're registered AND insist on references, and phone numbers where you can speak to their previous patients personally. The dinner menu is the one bright spot! The food is very good, and always hot.

They went above and beyond to “sell” the facility but once committed we found out that the Memory Care Director and staff were new and just starting to get activities and programs in place. Also, finding that not all staff possess the same level of compassion for their new residents who are having a hard time acclimating to the new environment.

could use : more structured activities on a REGULAR basis; daily exercise; room with equipment music and supervision; continual cleaning and maintenance: wipe down doors repaint doors and elevator doors, fix roof leaks, overhaul heating/air units, wash windows changeround door handles to lever model; change lighting to LED- too dank presently' change carpeting in apt hallways; Food is very good. This is an older facility. It requires a little more care to keep the standards at an acceptable level.

Don't send your love ones to this facility. They talk a good game but never follow through on most of the things they say or do. The Intake department will tell you what you want to hear and after you sign on the dotted line they tell you that your love one needs to be place on another level because they need more care. You have two choices send them to another level and pay more or find another facility which you would lose your initial payment which is over $1,000. And don't have an emergency at night time no staff to be found at all. Their transportation is always broke so do not depend on your love one to get to the doctors office on time or going to the grocery store. And if your love one is in a wheelchair forget it completely; no activities for them.

My dad has been there in memory care and itbis a terrible experience. The staff yells at the patients, they take the in to watch tv after dinner to what vh1 or bet. Heavy rap music is being played. The marketing director lued about him being evaluated immediately, its been a terrible experince. I cant wait to get my dad out of here. There are seriouly better places out there for $4000 a month. They do nothing to help with memory care.

I toured here and looked at their 2 bedrooms and it wasn’t that great. The room was on the bottom floor, which was good, but the front door opens up straight to the outside. If you open your door then it’s like the whole outside comes into your home. The cleanliness seemed to be good, they were working on the outside when I toured. The rooms were well-lit, but they’re separated from the front office so you have to walk outside just to get to the office. They aren't part of the same building.

I really appreciate the time [name removed] spent with myself the information given to help me make a good decision for my mother's care now and for the future of her days with me. The staff that I meet in my visits (2) are "PHENOMENAL" greetings at every turn and smiles, if I was retiring I would most definitely lived at the Fountains at Franklin, [name removed] and the staff give the home feeling and at retirement age that is all that counts to make you comfortable without any worries. Thank you [name removed] and the Staff :) :)

My sister loves being here, she has set up her room with all new furniture and feels right at home. There is so much for the residents to do here and my sister has already started doing some of the different activities they offer. She likes going to the dining room and visiting with the other residents and she really likes the food and being waited on. I would definitely recommend setting up a tour here to see the community and what they have to offer.

September 25, 2017Thanks for noting our caring associates – they truly love what they do. Our building is definitely not new, but we keep it as clean as a whistle and filled with vibrant programs and happy residents. I’ll see if we can identify new sitting areas without blocking the paths. Thanks for the suggestion. Sincerely, Tawania Foster, Executive Director Posted on behalf of Tawania Foster.
In my dealings with people from any industry especially sales you very rarely come across someone who is not going to waste your time and someone who is going, to be honest with you well I found that in this community. After sitting down with the sales person and going over my friend's income the sales person was honest and said she would not be able to afford to live there. I appreciated the honesty. The community from the brief look I had appeared clean and the person I was speaking with was very nice.

We were not happy with the care from this community. We were informed on an amount and then we were informed on a differnt amount on the billing. We have not been happy due to the fire alarm goes off very often. We found that there was someone that was inside smoking. the carpet is not clean. I did not like that the staff was rude. We would not recommend this community due to the billing issues.

On the tour I liked what I saw there. However, the price was high and they were in a location that was not easily convenient.

A Place for Mom has scored Park at Franklin 7.8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
