What we like the most about Brookdale Southfield is the concern for their residents as well as their willingness to assist their residents. We would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

I chose Brookdale Southfield because when coming here for a tour, I got the sense and feeling of home.

My mom feels the quality has gone down since she got there. She now gets all her meals from an outside source. Value for the money. They charge too much. And they keep going up They can't keep a driver for transportation They also do not have a facilities person on call 24/7. If a toilet overflows in the middle of the night the resident is without access.

Brookdale Southfield is a clean, comfortable, facility. Staff are very caring towards the residents. I would recommend this facility to those looking for retirement living.

Brooksdale is a jewel in the senior independent living arena. The activities are amazing, engaging and very organized. There are several activities planned for everyday of the week. The employees are courteous, understanding and are quick to resolve any issues. The atmosphere is caring and joyous.

Support staff is very engaged. Tend take a firm interest in the people who live there. They know everyone's name and they know the key people who are regularly there to visit. I would definitely recommend Brookdale Southfield to others.

Overall, the experience at Brookdale Southfield was great. The cleanliness and friendliness were great. The staff and care services were also great. Brookdale Southfield was awesome and treated my loved one with love. I would recommend this facility to others.

Do NOT bring your loved one to Brookdale Southfield. Although the facility looks nice the administrative staff are awful. Cold, heartless and unorganized. The staff don't return calls, texts or emails. They illegal withdrew funds from my deceased father's checking account when notification had been given 30 days in advance. No one was able to explain this to me? There were plenty of times when communication was not handled properly. The staff is awful to say the least.

Overall experience - quite satisfied with the community, it's services and amenities. Comfortable. Upkeep is at a high level as can be. All of the facility staff and attending staff are very friendly, courteous, respectful and willing to help/assist even if you are not their direct charge. I personally haven't had to experience individual care as yet, but what I have seen and witnessed provides a great sense of relief for when it is my time/turn. There are two(2) meals a day which are included as part of the rent. There is a wonderful balance of choice for breakfasts and dinners. Low sugar dessert options are also available. There are any number of activities and excursions available. Billiard room, media(movie) room, activities room, library, salon just to name a few. They have a pool and a great outside common area. It's my opinion and feeling that the value for cost is fair and equitable and may be adjusted where circumstances and situations may dictate or require. They a shuttle bus and van available for transportation to and from doctors appointments, shopping events and other excursions. To my benefit, they even provide transportation to and from the VA which is two(2) miles outside of their normal fifteen(15) mile radius. They are always willing to answer any questions you may have or get you an answer to specific ones.

My dad is currently a resident at Brookdale Southfield. The place reminds one of a hotel with a large lobby. It's very clean, the staff is nice , and the residents are from all cultures and backgrounds. The food is tasty. It's only been a few months, but my father really likes it. I would recommend this facility to others.

From the moment my family and I stepped into Brookdale Southfield, the staff were friendly and welcoming. They made a great first impression and made us feel safe and confident moving my 98 year old grand mother into their facility. The communication with the family is great, ComeforCare is attentive and consistently responsive. The meals are filling and tasty. I would absolutely recommend this facility to others.

My loved one is a resident at Brookdale Southfield and everything has been great. It's an awesome place! The staff, cleanliness, friendliness, food, and activities are all great. I would recommend this facility to family and friends!

The place is nice looking and the activities are great for my loved one but the staff is not good and my loved one complains about the food. The staff is beyond horrible. The only choices if the residents don't care for the food offered is a hot dog or a hamburger. We have to have staff there because the staff at Brookdale Southfield almost dropped my loved one a few times and sometimes they don't show up. So a family member will sleep at the community. It's not what I dream it would be at all. The staff has no experience and don't care. Only three staff stay sometimes at night for 200 residents.

Brookdale Southfield is great. They truly care about their seniors. They were very patient with my mom's difficulty making a decision and showed her many options. The daily activities and outings are wonderful. And the staff is terrific.

The community is very friendly. The facility is very nice and well cared for. The staff is really good.

What really stuck out about Brookdale Southfield was how friendly and caring the staff were, they were very helpful all the way up until my loved one passed away. The facility was also very clean and the floorplan worked out well for us. It was a very quiet community. I would recommend this facility to others and already have.
