Palos Verdes Villa

PV Villa has been the perfect place for my sister and her support cat! She has been there since last December, and she and her cat are very happy in a secure, clean, friendly environment. The owner [name removed] and administrator [name removed] always listen to my concerns and questions. They and their staff take action immediately. My brother and I are so relieved that we have found a wonderful residence for my sister. My sister is happy and has many friends there. She is most appreciative of the attentive care she receives. We can all sleep comfortably at night knowing that she is content in her new home.

My mother has been a resident at PV Villa for more than two years. She, and we, have been most happy with the care she receives. During her time at PV Villa, there has been virtually no staff turnover. The entire staff is friendly, warm and caring. Even during this time of pandemic, they are most attentive to resident needs, and keep family members well-informed. The staff always has time to answer questions and provide timely updates. Families are encouraged to schedule outdoor visits during the pandemic to help keep their family members in good spirits during this challenging time. The reason for the 4/5 rating for activities is that, due to limited mobility and other impairments, my mother is not able to participate in many activities. From what I see posted and know from other residents, there is a wide variety of activities from which to choose and participate.

My mom has almost been here 1 year and going on 101! I could not have been more happy with the kindness and friendliness of everyone that works here. Her room is spacious and always tidy and clean. She loves the variety of foods offered and and all her needs are taken care of. The cost is really very affordable. There are many activities but mom can't really take advantage of many or dosen't really want to be involved. Overall I would recommend to anyone!!

[Name removed] and the other staff at Palos Verdes Villa have been amazingly helpful to my sister and in helping her adjust to the assisted living lifestyle. They have all been very friendly, but very professional. The have all been very responsive to questions from our family members, and have gone above and beyond our expectations!

Since 1985 I have been personally involved (regarding relatives/loved ones) with retirement homes, assisted living facilities, board/care places. Locating a convenient one, able to afford the costs, feeling comfortable, trusting the staff and so on. Currently my Mother is a resident of Palos Verdes Villa and has been for the past two years plus. I looked at three/four places before visiting PV Villa. I knew IMMEDIATELY that if something was available there I was going to be moving my Mom in. I have never looked back. ;) The staff at PV Villa is unlike any other I have ever experienced. They REALLY care, are happy to help with whatever it is you need and especially helpful with my Mom, who by the way is not the easiest person on the planet to deal with! Just the fact that my Mom loves it there says a lot!!!

The Palos Verdes Villa has been an absolute lifesaver for my dad, who is currently residing there. Linda and the rest of the staff there have been accommodating, helpful, friendly, and understanding from day one. I found the Villa for my dad at a time when he was going through both a housing, financial and health crisis. He has been there for three months, and his health, and emotional and mental wellness have vastly improved. I owe the Villa for helping my family and my father during one of out most stressful times.

From the very first day I researched an Assisted Living place for my father-in-law, Palos Verdes Villa was my first choice. I was welcomed by their Administrator, [name removed] and given a tour. I saw their calendar and bulletin board showing the many opportunities for the residents to keep active. The reasons we selected them were few, friendly taff, location and cost, but the reasons we are for ever grateful are many. Among the very top was the care and concern they have for each resident, individually and as a group of seniors as a whole. He came to live there after being in a convalescent hospital and fell in love with his room and his freedom! He felt that they treated him like a King. As his main Caregiver, I felt very comfortable calling or visiting them and discussing any concerns I had. I also was more at ease because I knew that if there was an issue, they would immediately call me, especially when his health began to decline. They were also a source of emotional support. At times, the staff was well ahead of me in assisting him with his needs as the arose. He needed additional table space for his puzzles, they took care of it. Needed to elevate his feet, recliner was brought in. Cold, heater appeared. Hot, let's close the air vent. Didn't like a pillow or blanket, worked with him down to the smallest complaint regarding his comfort or health. From the little things to the more crucial health issues, they cared, they care! He was a very particular, opinionated and demanding person, but then at 99, I think most of us will be. He sadly passed away before his 100th birthday, but he was at peace and going from his current home to his final Home.

The director at the center is very nice and caring. The facilities are on the older side and I am not sure that the activity level and current residents would suit my mom who is still mentally there and might find it a bit depressing. This is still a possibility given proximity to my house, but currently they do not have any available rooms.

Very nice people. I didn't love that they did not have kitchenettes in the rooms though. That's something my mom would like to have in her room. The building wasn't the nicest that I've seen.

Man mom has only been in her new place for 9 days. I knew we would miss PC's hospitality. Just didn't know it would set in so soon. Wish we could have taken some of the staff with us. They show know how to spoil the residents and the family. Each time I called someone answered and was able to assist. Mom was only there for a few months. A few months was all it took. Keep doing the folks a good service!

My sister spent several months at PV Villa in late 2017/early 2018. I can't say enough about the professionalism and caring displayed by the staff there, in particular [Name removed] and [Name removed]. PV Villa took very good care of my sister, helping her through PT to use a walker rather than a wheelchair, pairing her with a compatible roommate, offering a variety of activities, and keeping me informed about her care and progress. The ability to communicate on a regular basis with [Name removed] was especially helpful and much appreciated since I live a long distance away. I recommend PV Villa for anyone seeking a clean, well-run assisted living facility.

Palos Verdes Villa truly is the best place for senior living in this area. My Mom has lived there for four years now, and she couldn’t be happier. The staff is always pleasant, the facilities are always clean, and the food is surprisingly good! She had been at two other places prior, and the difference is remarkable. She has made many friends here, and there is always some sort of activity that she is excited about. [name removed] and the whole team of staff are really doing an excellent job. Thank you PV Villa!

I visited an old friend at the Palos verdes villa residence. I was amazed how friendly the staff was and I liked the warm atmosphere. My friend is very happy that she chose the Palos verdes villa as her permanent residency.

I came here for a tour with my mom. She didn't move in because she decided she wasn't ready for an assisted living and is still living independently. However, this building is beautiful and well-kept and both my mom and I really liked it, especially compared to others we visited. The director, administrator, and staff were all friendly and helpful. When the time is right, this facility will be at the top of our list!

My grandmother has been living at the beautiful Palos verdes villa retirement home for 6 years. We are very happy with all the services provided. Especially with the delicious meals that’s are served 3 times a day. I highly recommend this facility.

While our tour guide was very kind and pleasant, the facility and residents were depressing. Dark, outdated, and a lot of people in wheelchairs loitering in the front lobby. Could have left upon entry.

My father lived at the Villa for 4 years. The staff, especially [name removed] and [name removed] were amazing. They truly put their heart into everything they do. My father got excellent care and he felt like family. I am so grateful that we found the Villa.

Facility is older, but clean. Staff seem friendly and caring. Price is excellent compared to other facilities in the area.

Although the facility was older, it was very clean and the residents seemed happy with their environment. The staff I met were very nice and helpful. The meal times were more limited than other facilities I toured. The rooms were smaller than we preferred.

When we first toured this facility I wasn’t impressed. I honestly walked in and walked out. When you walk in it was not bright or inviting at all and I believe that they should work on that. It is not appealing and it does not have a good look to it. I looked at the dining room and there were trays all over. The facility itself was more of an assisted living and we were interested in independent living. Unfortunately, this was not a good fit for my love one.
