My loved one is currently a resident at Mayberry Gardens and everything has been great for him at this facility so far. The staff are all very pleasing. The cleanliness and friendliness are great. The care services, activities and food are also great. The value for cost is very satisfactory. I would recommend Mayberry Gardens to others.

We picked this community because they allow smoking and my mom had recently started smoking again. I loved that Mayberry Gardens had houses instead of wings and floors. I would recommend to others.

I like Mayberry Gardens. The move in process was good. The grounds are beautifully landscaped. The staff, for the most part, seem to care for the residents. The food, for the most part, doesn't seem to be great. The main complaint that I have heard from the residents in my loved one's house is the food quality. Overall, I would recommend Mayberry Gardens to family and friends.

Moving mom to assisted living was uncharted territory for me and A Place for Mom was of great assistance in getting me started and giving me tips on questions to ask and what to look for when looking at a place. It took less than two weeks from start to her moving in. Meals have recently been upgraded and seem to be good. Wish I could stay and eat sometimes. The staff has contacted me if they have questions about her care or need to report something to me. I love this communication between the staff and myself. The house is always clean.I would recommend Mayberry Gardens to anyone.

We toured Mayberry Gardens and the facility was just okay. Overall, I would rate each category at a three. We just were not impresses with the facility.
Our experience was not terrible, but not the best at this facility. My loved one was in the smallest room offered, which included a half bath. The showers were shared in her building (there are several buildings and I can only speak on the building that my loved one was in, which had about 11 residents in it). When we moved her in, the showers were spotless, but that didn't last. There was a lot of turnover with housekeeping, thoroughness and consistency were an issue both with the shared showers and the individual rooms/half baths. Some staff were friendly, others were not. There was a big difference between the nightshift and dayshift staff. Response time to help call button was not timely. There were constant complaints about the food, from my loved one and other residents. The main complaints were cold food, too salty, and not good quality and/or variety. My loved one hated the size of her room and would say that she felt like a prisoner, it was really small but it was what was within her budget. They had no activities off campus, but did offer a small variety of them on campus. The cost was a flat monthly charge, no extra fees for things. It's a small campus, all one level with no stairs or additional stories. I will say, there were some good people here. I loved the administrator that was in my loved one's unit, she was precious and very sweet. Again, our biggest issues were the room size, the food, having to ask for housekeeping/laundry assistance, and timely response to help call/button requests. Overall, I would not recommend this facility to family and friends. The longer my loved one was here, the more downhill things seemed to go.

What stood out to me about this facility is the very homey environment- like a family. Also, they were flexible to try Assisted Living for my loved one first before moving to Memory Care. I really like it here so much better than a bigger facility. Daily care giving and housekeeping are excellent. I can reach house manager by phone or text whenever needed. They also helped with mobile health providers contacts so many appointments are done in the resident's bedroom. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

In building 3, my loved one did ok and seemed to enjoy her stay and socalizing with others. She became ill and needed more care so was moved to building one. The manager is not a people person. She is a hard worker but does not have a grip on the aides. The aides did not care for my loved one as she needed. Even after being informed how she needed help with eating, they continued leaving her plate on the tray in her room. I wasn't informed several times when she fell and found out 2 days after she contacted covid that she had it. This came from one of her visitors. When I called administration. They said they wernt aware. I added a monitor and realized that this is not where I want my loved one to be. I have seen the great reviews, so don't know why we experienced problem after problem.

Mayberry Gardens is awesome. My mom has blossomed and come out of her shell since she's been there, which has been amazing to see. I like that she's safe, and I don't have to worry anymore. It has been a pleasant surprise that she's not complaining. She really didn't want to move out of her house, but they make her feel very comfortable there.

Overall it's the perfect place for my loved one. It's a group home with five other men, as well as four women, and they all look after one another. The place is spick-and-span. The staff are always vacuuming and cleaning, and they keep my loved one's room mopped. The food is good, and they provide adequate portions. They even put a little extra on his plate since he eats so much. They offer snacks throughout the day, and the residents can also go to the kitchen at any time and ask for something. Their daytime staff is absolutely outstanding beyond words - both the early morning and the evening staff. They are friendly, keep the residents clean, keep their rooms cleaned, and they interact with the residents and provide games and activities. They bring in entertainment, take them to church, take them outside for walks or to play basketball. The fact that my loved one was outside throwing a ball was absolutely miraculous to me. They post an activities schedule up on the wall, and there's always something going on. Their nighttime staff is not always on the ball though. I understand it's probably hard to get people to work that graveyard shift, and I'm doing my best to work with our doctor to help my loved one sleep through the night. Management is truly and sincerely working on it. They currently have an outstanding man on the night shift who is paying attention and checking each door every 30 minutes. He is kind, patient, and gentle with the residents. The staff in general are greatly concerned and cooperative, and they act quickly when I come to them with issues. I feel they work with me the best they can to provide the best for my loved one. When searching for a place, I was kind of at my wits' end until I found Mayberry Gardens. It was the most economical of the places that I looked at, and also the best on every other aspect. It's securely fenced in so the residents have the freedom to be outside out back. The grounds are well kept and neat. I was quite surprised by how pretty it was with fountains and landscaping. It's a beautiful place, and I appreciate that it doesn't feel like a hospital. It's cozy and homey. It's a home, rather than an institution.

I do not have any complaints about Mayberry Gardens. They are very good and quick with communication when things come up with your loved ones. It is a smaller facility and so the care is more personalized. I would definitely recommend them to others looking.

I would recommend the community for your loved one. For the most part they do a good job. It would be nice to see more attention to detail. Assisting residents with where they are and what they are doing would be helpful. The staff is friendly and the community is clean.

This community feels like the residents are in a home and not in a facility. They are very friendly and accommodating to the residents needs. They have activities like bingo three times a week, poker, dominoes and more for the residents to do.

We really liked the concept of Mayberry Gardens, but due to our loved one's health and sometimes being combative, he was not able to stay there for very long. The community did not seem like a nursing home at all, and it was less expensive then a lot of other places. The staff were friendly. The residents could sit outside together on the porch and eat in the dining room. For loved ones who are not combative, they would thrive there. We would highly recommend Mayberry Gardens.

Overall our family's experience was pretty good. There are only 11 houses so it was very easy to get to know everyone, residents and staff. The house manager in house 1 has a very hostile attitude, always a very negative personality. House 1 did not have a very warm and welcoming feeling, but all the other houses seemed perfectly fine especially houses 6 & 7. Those two seemed absolutely wonderful. The house manager really can make or break the experience. The residents in the other houses seemed really happy, so we would recommend all the other houses except for house 1
Before covid, they had told us a lot about their activities but due to covid, we have not seen that yet. The community is not staffed with medical professions so if your loved one needs that this might not be the place for you.
