Maryville Enhanced Assisted Living

Reading a previous anonymous review prompts me to confirm the opinion. My husband had been in a large corporate facility for close to one year. He could no longer enjoy the amenities offered. The staff was not friendly to him nor to us. His calls for help went unanswered for a long time. At Maryville my husband's needs are being met. The staff is friendly and respond to all his needs. The recreation provided is stimulating and he enjoys it. Best of all he reports the food to be very good.

Very well managed. It is a simple place with not a lot of frills but with everything you need. Very very clean, well maintained with 3 home-cooked meals each day. Excellent food that can easily be customized. Back yard courtyard is perfect for outdoor time in nice weather. The fees are very reasonable as compared with other assisted living options. Overall, an excellent experience

It is a small family owned facility. Adequate amount of staff. They do a good job taking care of the residents, always clean and well groomed. The facility is dated looking, furnishings are old but they do keep it clean. Visiting space is very limited and hours for visiting is limited to a few hours in the afternoon. The administrator runs a tight ship and doesn't want the residents daily routine upset with visitors showing up at all hours. They have a nice outdoor space. Communication is good. It would be nice if money was invested into some updates to the facility itself. I can't say how the food is because my spouse doesn't speak, but I am told by aides that it is fairly decent. I would recommend the facility because I feel they do provide good care at a reasonable cost.

I was recommended to this place by A Place for Mom. I went against all instincts based on the high recommendation. The description on here is totally wrong and inaccurate. There are NO skilled staff available on a daily basis. The aids are babysitters with nothing but anger and resentment. They yell across to other workers with no respect for the residents. Everyone is herded from place to place.. No love or caring shown. They don't want visitors as they might see some of the horrors. All of the foot rests on the wheelchairs are off and residents dragged around. They ripped apart my mother's feet. They lie lie lie and blame anyone but themselves, taking responsibility for NOTHING. PLEASE avoid this place.

What we really like about this community is the staff, they are very attentive and they keep the residents engaged in activities. While the facility is old and could use some updating, this is secondary to the care they give. The owner/administrator is always available and very willing to help any way she can.

I read your recent review where you were so verbal and expressive in describing Maryville so perfectly. I too feel blessed to have found this secret haven. My 91 year old mom has been at Maryville for the last 11 months and she has gotten exemplary care. The small assisted livings are few and far between so I feel priveleged in being amongst the Maryville family. That is what it is - a nice family atmosphere.

We had been at a couple of other communities previously. I was tired of the big corporate environment. So I decided to take a look at Maryville and was blown away. It's very personal. I like that it's a smaller community, and everybody is all together every day. Everyone is being watched carefully. I'm blown away by the quality of the management and the family owned business model. [name removed] has created an environment that is unprecedented in my experience. The place is immaculately clean. There are never any bad smells. I love that there are no carpets on the floor, and the floors are always polished. And no matter what time of day I walk in the door, someone is always cleaning. The meals are all home cooked, three times a day, seven days a week. The entire staff is cooperative and loving. They get my wife up in the mornings, and she is always immaculately groomed. They curl her hair. Her fingernails are polished. I don't know how they do what they do - they provide such good care. My wife had a TIA stroke about two months ago that my daughter witnessed and then let me know about. So I called [name removed] and said I wanted my wife to go the hospital, and she called the ambulance right away. When you have something you need, you know exactly who to contact. You call [name removed], and she will take care of it. She gives out her cell number and says call me anytime you want. I love the fact that when they get everybody up in the morning, they don't allow them to languish in their room. They bring everyone into a central room with all the aides so they can have the proper care and attention. They have very good activities, and they regularly bring in musicians and pet therapy. Maryville is a resource I can't believe we found, and I'm so happy that my wife can stay there for the rest of her life.

My loved one loved the food , and ate everything. The activities were appropriate for the clientele. It's a smaller community, with a more a homey atmosphere. They really go out of there way to think of every detail, and they pus a lot of thought into how, and why they do things.

I have been a private aid for a year at Maryville Assisted Living and I highly recommend this place to anyone in search of pleasant assisted living. This remarkable place provides a warm, comfortable and helpful environment. The staff is very loving, caring, tender, and attentive towards the residents. The food is fantastic and of excellent quality. Additionally, the facility is well kept and maintained properly by housekeeping.

As a sales representative I visit many facilities. Maryville is unique. It has a very personal touch. Maryville resembles a boutique shoppe. All residents seem engaged. Rooms and common areas are immaculate spotless and clean. Food looks delicious and homemade. I was asked to post my opinion as they are new to the digital age. Lastly their bills are paid on time!!

My aunt was a resident at this LOVELY Home style facility she actually got stronger and started to eat after their wonderful staff was so persistent their staff to resident ratio is above and beyond with a very devoted and caring administration would recommend for any loved one

After visiting my aunt, in Maryville's courtyard earlier today, I had the opportunity to meet with [name removed]as she was arriving to the facility. I went on to greet her and thank her for the wonderful care we have experienced the last 17 months. [removed] I have no complaints at all about the care, the food, the maintenance, the interaction of staff and administration with myself or my aunt, or the recreation activities. Maryville is owned and operated by a lovely interactive family that truly has a passion for the elderly.

I want to express my gratitude to [name removed] and the staff at Maryville. They took excellent care of my father in law. We know he wasn't easy at times, but they never let that get in the way of his care. I will forever be grateful to them for keeping him safe and giving me peace of mind. Do not hesitate letting them care for your loved one.

As a healthcare provider to Maryville that provides care to it’s residents, I witness everything that goes on at Maryville, from the presentation of the facility to the way the employees and supervisors treat the residents. From all the facilities that I service, I have not observed such a caring and truly loving owner and such top of the line care that the faculty provides for Maryville’s residents. The staff genuinely care for the safety and well-being of the residents and always go out of their way to address their needs and optimize their quality of life. Their meals are well prepared in a timely manner and everything is gourmet, top quality food. The owner of Maryville goes out of her way to make sure everyone is cared for from personal hygiene, to keeping the residents entertained with a wide variety of daily activities. The residents are highly cared for and I would highly recommend Maryville to anyone who is looking for an all-inclusive 5 star facility for their loved ones.

Maryville came highly recommended to me by A place for mom. They must have been paid off. The place is worn out which wouldn't matter if care top notch. The owner comes across as caring but is a total dictator. You can't question anything or you get labeled a problem. Nothing is ever their fault. There is no communication and will never give you doctor names or contacts. You never know what is the truth. Some of the staff is caring but no one has any training. They are babysitters and nothing more. They move them around like sacks of potatoes. Most in wheelchairs. Feet get dragged rather than putting the chair feet on. Food is garbage & non nutritious. Snacks even worse. CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP!!! The activities are mostly tv, reading and trivia. Residents left all day in the living room with little interaction from any staff. They don't want residents with visitors as they would have to be held accountable. Stay away if you love your family.

Old facility with minimum upgrades. Broken furniture, old everything. 3 nice aides, but no training. No nurse on staff. Owner [name removed] takes the money, son is in charge of maintenance??? Daughter does the books? So when they tell you the staff/patient ratio, that includes everyone and the cook. Everyone sits in 1 small room all day with the tv on. Manhandled from seat to wheelchair to bed Bingo or kicking a ball around the room is entertainment. Food is on a menu, but not what they serve. McDonalds would be 5 steps up. All walkers and wheelchairs were left from dead patients or donated. Can’t even put foot rests on wheelchairs. Easier to just drag them on the ground. Takes 30-60 minutes to clean pee off the floor. Not one person in the place will do anything without [name removed]'s permission. I love reading she and her family and workers are the ones who gave the good reviews. Biggest heartbreak watching family member die in a place like this. Feel guilty I believed the promises [name removed] said.

My loved one went in to the community and it wasn't good. The doctor called and let me know that my loved one die, and they weren't died. My loved one ended up being scared in the community. The director told me that my loved one wouldn't be missed from this community when they were leaving. My loved one had COVID, and the community classified it as pneumonia. The community was calling a woman [name removed], and she in fact was a nurse practitioner.

From our understanding this community has been kept very clean, the staff members are great. The value for this community is excellent, as well as the care services, we haven't had any issues so far. Once again from our understanding this community is a tad dated, but overall this is a great place!

As a professional in the senior living industry, I am very selective in the communities that I recommend to family caregivers when they are searching for the best community for a loved one. Maryville is an exceptional option. The warmth and care they provide is outstanding. The staff is very attentive, truly care about their residents, and go over and beyond to make sure they are happy and healthy. The owner, [name removed], is on-site regularly, and is always available to speak with family members. Their pricing includes personal care assistance and medication management, which is helpful when families are concerned about rising care levels. The community is always immaculate and the rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable. All in all, this is a wonderful home for someone who wants or needs that closer supervision and higher staff to resident ratio in a comfortable, cozy setting.
