Landon Ridge at Sugar Land Independent Living

Do NOT place your loved one at Landon Ridge. If your loved one exhibits signs of decline, they will not notify you. If the signs become notably worse, they will not notify you. If an ambulance has to be called, they will not contact you. If your loved one declines being taken to the hospital against the advise of EMS, they will not contact you. You will not have the opportunity, when given so many of them, to be informed of the situation until it is too late. The protocols at Landon Ridge are significantly flawed and not followed. We scheduled a meeting with [name removed]and the employee who was working the day of the incident to find out what happened. Plenty of details were shared. It was made clear that they willing did not follow state protocols - or their own. They could not provide a reason for dropping the ball, only a sorry. I was able to collect more information from other sources and put together the full timeline. LR even failed disclose the full story. How can this be acceptable?

Thanks to A place for Mom for providing a roof over my head…..a heart broken… grief shaken mother … who lost her 32 years old daughter. I love my apartment and other residents. Everybody is very helpful and friendly. Food is awesome. Housekeeping and activities are also very good.

We reside in the independent villas which are far nicer than the main building. The facility director is in over her head. Operating without maintenance director now for six months (so maintenance isn't being done). Chef replaced due to health event. New chef trying hard but not 50% capable of prior chef. We are considering moving if things go further south! Location is close to shopping and health care. If management could get its act together it would be great!

I am enjoying my move to Landon Ridge. Everyone is so friendly and I have made many friends. The activities are keeping me busy and I am looking forward to expanding into more. The food prepared by our Chef is wonderful and it is such a relief not to cook for myself. A place for Mom helped me make the decision to make my move to Landon Ridge and I owe them a big thanks. My parents have kept in touch with their previous neighbors and have recommended Landon Ridge at Sugar Land Independent Living to all of their friends. The quality of the meals is top notch, friendly staff, very clean. We have no complaints. They are so happy to be a part of this facility.

They charge extra for every task of maintenance. (Putting bath bars in). $[removed] for two bars that we supplied. The need to shampoo the front entrance and hall, where spills have happened. High initial fee charge of $[removed]. Monthly charge for personal security button. ($[removed]) Previous place charged yearly $[removed]. No monthly charge.

The staff are friendly and helpful. We have weekly housekeeping. Our housekeeper is excellent, but I have heard a few complaints from other residents. Move in was easy. Maintenance is good. The activities ladies are terrific. There is plenty to do. The food is very good. Residents who move here from other facilities tell us that the food here is much better. My wife and I are content here. Sometimes management can be a little cranky, but they have several competing interests to satisfy. I recommend Landon Ridge.

Not enough servers for lunch/ dinner. Not very nice when you ask for a cup of coffee and they say. "Get it yourself." The office staff and cleaning lady is so nice. Everyone I met, has been especially nice. The food is always cold. Soup is hot and delicious always. Very dark in my kitchen. Every apartment I have visited have track lighting. I think it would be nice to add another light near my sink.

The manager who showed us around was kind and cheerful. The staff seemed friendly as well. The apartments and facilities were good but my friend and I felt that the carpets were soiled and needed replacement. We would be interested to move here in the future as would many of our friends if the appearance was improved.

Staff very supportive of resident's needs and concerns. They are always available to address residents. We have weekly housekeeping in the villas. We are comfortable with what they're doing. Chef [name removed] and staff prepare wonderful meals. Special event meals rival what the best restaurants in Houston can offer. Variety of vegetables that are properly cooked can't be beaten. Our Sunday omelet bar is the best ever! I would 1000% recommend Landon Ridge at Sugar Land Independent Living! We've looked at over 50 Senior Living Communities in the past 20 years. Landon Ridge is in our top 5!

Our experience at Landon Ridge at Sugar Land was exceptional! Mother's apartment was in great shape and was very spacious. The staff were very kind and caring. They always delivered great service. We were pleased with everything about the place and would highly recommend it to others.

I'm a resident at Landon Ridge at Sugar Land Independent Living and everything has been great. Compared to other facilities with which I am familiar, this place, although not perfect, is a good value.

It's a lovely place to live, with friendly people, and it's well managed. The apartments are beautiful. My only suggestion is - it would be nice to have a live personal instructor for the exercise classes instead of the current video format.

We chose Landon Ridge mainly because of the proximity to my house. She has an apartment with a back door that leads out to the courtyard where she is able to walk her dog. The layout is spacious and wheelchair accessible. The meals are chef prepared. I would recommend them to others looking.

We chose Landon Ridge at Sugar Land because of the close proximity to our family and it fit our needs perfectly. The apartment sizes are a little smaller than what we were used to since we downsized from a house. We are really enjoying the meals here, they are chef prepared. I chose Landon Ridge because the apartment sizes are really nice as compared to others that I saw. They were willing to work with us financially and had a plan where we could make a down payment and it would reduce our monthly rent forever. They also offer assisted living and if I had to move over there, the rent deal will still transfer over. The chef really tries to make interesting meals for us and so we have good variety. You also have your own water heater for each unit which is nice so you do not run out of hot water. The people here are very kind and I am happy living here and I would recommend.

The residents that live there are very nice and enjoy getting together with each other. The staff are not able to keep a shift, lots of staff turnover. When they have a chef the meals are great, when they don't have a chef, the meals are just fair and then they are unable to specialize the meal. When you go in to tour the community, they tell you what's included and often times that changes. We chose this community because it is newer, it is clean, and it is close to my house.
