The Abbey at Westminster Plaza Independent Living

From planting flowers and yelling bingo to shopping Walmart and excursions around the town, The Abby has a little bit for everyone. My mom moved in last year and it has taken her a long time to adjust to her new place and routine. The staff at The Abby has accelerated the adjust much quicker and much more kindly than her three sons could have asked for. The staff genuinely know their residents and engage them in conversations. I visit once a week and she always talks so fondly of the guy that drives the residents around the town, how she did at bingo and shows me the growth on her flowers. The food is very good and the variety and friendly staff again help her with her needs. She was at another facility near by that use to have a very good reputation, but The Abby is clearly head and shoulders above the rest. They are the standard that everyone else should be striving to obtain. Double thumbs up!

The Abbey facilities are beautiful. The staff are friendly and appear to enjoy what they do. Great Retirement place! Highly recommend.

My husband and I are relocating to be closer to our children and out of all the retirement communities we have visited, none of them held a candle to the Abbey at Westminster Plaza as far as the food goes. We will miss the dining experience we will be leaving behind!!

We have been an Abbey Independent Living for almost 2 years and enjoying the cozy and relaxed atmosphere. The Service staff are conscious and attentive. Overall, we are pleased with their facilities and service.

Meals are prepared under the direction of an Executive Chef. Made-to-order meals were piping hot and to my liking. I highly recommend tasting a meal when considering The Abbey for a loved one. Favorite choices are the Filet Mignon and the freshly made chicken salad.

My mother moved into the Abby last week. The move, as with everything during this time in her life, has been quite traumatic. When we got her settled around 4pm I stopped by the dinning facility and asked if it was ok if my mother and I ate dinner that evening. I told them that we had just moved her into her room, she was new and had not made reservations prior to today. From the help, servers, cooks and wait staff, they were all so encouraging, helpful, flexible and kind. I can not think or could have planned a better first night dinner for my mother. My mother felt at home, the food was really good and the table settings classic. There are a few things that you will always remember in your life, this will be one of those events for me. LOVELY TABLE EXPERIENCE, CLOTH NAPKINS AND TABLE CLOTH. EVERYONE IS FRIENDLY AND MOST HELPFUL, FROM STAFF TO RESIDENTS THERE ARE M O R E THINGS TO DO THAN HOURS IN A DAY, ALWAYS DIVERSE AND ENTICING. TRULY SOMETHING FOR ALL APPETITES. I AM SO GRATEFUL TO LIVE IN SUCH A WELL MAINTAINED AND LOVELY TO SHARE WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY!

The experience has been exceptional with the staff and the residents.The dining room food is first class and is fun with our friends. The staff at the front desk and maintenance staff are knowable and helpful..We do not have a car but there is transportation available. There are many activities such as going places and seeing things and making friends. After visiting the Abbey, my son-in-law said, “I want to live here!

I've lived here for (number removed) years. Moved here at age (number removed). I love it. One of the nicest things about The Abbey is: The Residents here are so friendly. You won't pass anyone in the hallway without being greeted with a smile and a Hi, Hello, How're you. It's so easy to make friends. There are many many activities - you can do as much or as little as you like. Some of my favorites are: Line Dancing, Greeting Card Workshop, Sit and Be Fit, the movie theater. The Dining Room is beautiful and the food is very good - and healthy. This is a beautiful place to call home.

This place has everything. I found the staff to be warm and welcoming. The apartments were larger than others I have seen. And the menu is full of variety. We are moving in!

We chose The Abbey because of the overall price, the cleanliness, the staff was extremely friendly and that has continued even after moving in. They offered everything that my mom needed as well. The apartment sizes are nice. The meals are chef prepared, I gave it a lower score due to the meals having to be delivered to their doors. I would absolutely recommend.

My Mom and Dad lived here for almost 3 years. It was very clean, apartments were in great condition and well kept. It was a great environment for them. I felt the staff was very personable and went above and beyond for them! I would highly recommend this as a great place to live for those seeking an Independent Retirement Facility!

Mom loves living at The Abbey! The staff are friendly, caring and wonderful. The dining experience is four-star, serving a variety of delicious meals daily. Mom enjoys many activities available at The Abbey and has met numerous new friends. My siblings and I are so grateful that our mom is loving this phase of her life, living at The Abbey.
