Heartis Village Orland Park

I am writing to say that I am grateful for [name removed], the Memory Care Director of Heartis. She is amazing! It would take up too many pages to tell you every amazing thing she has done for my father. She listened to all my concerns. She developed a plan for success. She sees my Dad's strengths. She is loving, kind, knowledgeable, and patient. Im grateful for [name removed] & all the amazing Nurses & Caregivers! The Caregivers work so hard, they are so kind, friendly, & patient! I'm grateful for [name removed], she is a wonderful Activities Assistant! Im grateful to [name removed]. She was the first person I met & explained everything with kindness & warmth. Thank you to [name removed] & [name removed] who set up my Dad's apartment with perfection & continue to help in any way. And thank you to [name removed] & [name removed] for greeting me & my Dad with happiness & joy. And thank you to [name removed] Executive Director for sending me emails to inform me of everything that is going on at Heartis & for making Heartis an amazing place my Dad can call home.

Their services here at Heartis Village Orland Park compared to other facilities we looked out were outstanding. Their director of memory care is phenomenal as well as the director of nursing , she is great. The overall facility director is also fantastic. I cannot say enough about the staff. They are excellent with communication and very responsive to families. We would absolutely recommend them to others.

The communication back and forth at times was a little tough, but besides that everything about Heartis Village was great. Our loved one really enjoyed the meals and dining service, and it is a good value. She was not much of a joiner when it came to the activities, but they did have plenty to offer. We would absolutely recommend to families who are looking.

Heartis Village is without a doubt a wonderful community. The management team is unlike any other I have ever come across. They care deeply about their residents and their staff alike. The staff is fantastic. They provide high-quality care with a passion that is unmatched. If you want your loved one to be cared for with the utmost compassion and quality, your search can end with Heartis Village of Orland Park.

My mom lived alone in a large house. Unfortunately, her health declined as her age progressed. She needed extra help. I brought her to Heartis. She now gets the therapy she needs instead of just 6 month checkups. She exercises and plays games and cards with her new resident friends, instead of just dimly watching the TV set. She gets fantastic meals with lots of choices instead of frozen dinners and take-outs. The staff that I have come to know here care for her on a personal level, and I trust them to watch over her and be there for her. At Heartis, her so called "twilight years" will now be happy years, filled with comfort, contentment, and joy. I could not be happier that we made Heartis of Orland Park my mom's new home!

My experience here at Heartis has been a very positive one. I am just amazed at how ALL the staff come together as a family and help each other out when the need arises. It does not matter your position, you are treated as an equal. I consider Heartis my 2nd family and am VERY proud to be a staff member here!

Our tour of Heartis Village was very informative. [name removed] was a fountain of information and answered all of our questions. She really seems like she knows her stuff. The place was spotless and I loved how some of the residents decorate outside their doorways.

My parents have been in the community from the first year they open. We have gone thru at least 3 changes of management and 2 overall ownerships which I believe has been too many. The communication here is terrible, each saying its going to get better but we have not seen it. We have had problems with mom's meds. Timing of getting her meds on time. (my dad has past away) I do have to say there are good people that care and have been good to mom but then again there are some that should not be there. I must say we are very pleased how they handled the Covid outbreak. There were times that we thought mom would be better somewhere else but who knows if that would be any different. It's frustrating when we hear things are not going well because its was a hard decision we had to make. Some of the stuff is common sense which gets very upsetting. We are not the only ones that have felt this way. We do not think we are getting the care for the money we are paying. That is the bottom line.

Since [names removed] moved in, they have never looked as happy and healthy. The level of care and attention given to both of them is absolutely outstanding. The entire staff at Heartis is priceless in regard to their caring and concern.

I nominate [name removed] Hero of the Month. She is cordial, friendly, humorous and a great person

This place is wonderful from the first phone call with [name removed] to the virtual tour, paper work and just plain answering questions. I started out trying to help my father find a place for my grandmother who's 97 and our family had toured our share of places and this one by far exceed our expectations. I have to say my mom said it best when she overheard my conversation with [name removed] her exact words were " she sounds like an actual human being, kind caring and nice, she didn't sound like an uncaring car sales man" . She was correct they are kind, caring and compassionate. I receive pictures of grandma and an update usually every other week, they really hit home when my father was put at ease and making the transition as easy as possible for him. So big shout out to the Heartis House and everyone there we really appreciate all you did and continue to do !!

Our mother is still very independent and social. She has some medical conditions that make it necessary for her to have someone around in case she needs help. Heartis Village provided a beautiful environment that is comfortable and welcoming. The staff and residents are so helpful and cheerful. We are certain that our mother's assistance needs will be well attended and adjusted as her needs change. We are confident that our mother will thrive in her new home.

From what we could see through the photograph's the activities looked nice and they would have movie nights with popcorn. Compared to other communities we looked at, the value here was pretty reasonable.

Looks like a beautiful place, however, the response time for help is UNACCEPTABLE. We have had to wait 2, 1 1/2, 1 hours for help after the "help button" is pressed. They want to fill the place up, but they can't even take care of the people living there now. If problem is not resolved SOON, we are moving our loved one elsewhere. We were lied to by the "sales girl". She said response time after pressing the help button, would be 15 minutes give or take. LIE We were told 2 aides per floor. At night there are only 2 aides for the entire 3 floors. LIE This is the 3rd complete staff there in a year. BAD SIGN. We do NOT trust anything they tell us. Problems have been brought up at monthly meetings and still NOTHING HAS BEEN RESOLVED. So frustrating.

Very beautiful place. Everyone we dealt with were friendly and informed, helpful. This is the place we have chosen.
