We placed our loved one in memory care March of this year. The rooms are spacious and sunny, the care staff is very considerate, and the office staff is first rate, especially [name removed], the tour director. This is a small, family owned facility and it feels like it. Communication between patients, families and staff is very easy which is critical. Some other places are larger and fancier, but our family didn’t need that. I highly recommend Ginter Hall South

If we could give them a 10 we would! Ginter Hall South turned out to be the best place. My aunt was in two other places and the people at Ginter Hall South are truly some of the nicest people I've ever met. It's not the fanciest place but in the end that doesn't mean a thing if there's fancy hallways and pictures on the walls. What means everything is how they treat your loved one. And I can tell you that Ginter Hall has the kindest people ever! And also just to let you know, my aunt just passed away last week. And it was very peaceful. The process was wonderful and part of that was again because of the people at Ginter Hall.

My loved one was previously a resident at Ginter Hall Assisted Living and Memory Care and most everything was great at this facility. The only thing that we had an issue with was communication between the night staff and the day staff. That was an issue, but it was a small thing and only a couple of people.

Do not send your love ones there The administration was very rude and inconsiderate I picked this community because it was closer to my job . My mom was soiled majority of the time she didn't receive weekly showers. The residents were left unattended in the unit often without any supervision.

Staff and many residents are welcoming. Environment is clean, comfortable, welcoming. My brother and I visited. He has spent a 2 week respite there in November. And he started attending day respite in December and goes every weekday. The facility is consistently neat, clean, orderly, and welcoming. Facility, Nursing Directors, and Arts & Crafts Director are all consistently professional and warm. They have helped my brother find a meaningful role and purpose at this facility. This makes a huge difference for him. He is able to feel like his time there matters to the people he interacts with. Leadership and staff are very resident- focused and provide consistently high quality care. Food is good and consistently well prepared. Yes, I would recommend Ginter Hall South.

I'd say go by there and visit the staff and tour. Listen and hear what they are saying. Realize they are family owned and established for a while. Cost effective. I picked this community because of the affordability and they really reached out genuinely cared.

There are no activities, and keep checking on your love ones cause some folk just don't give a damn. We picked this community because of the money/cost.

Ancient facility. The activity bus has been vandalized (catalytic converter stolen)...Plus the activity bus can't accommodate wheelchairs. Totally unacceptable for a nursing home/assisted living facility! If a resident needs assistance bathing, unable to assist utilizing the bathroom located inside the room... They have a room designated for showering assistance...The tiled area is much larger than normal (very nice)...However transporting a resident to that room seems awkward at best...
We toured Ginter Hall Assisted Living and Memory Care when searching for a facility for our loved one. This facility was great! The atmosphere and our tour guide were very good. The cleanliness and friendliness were great. It came down to location and cost for us.
We didn't care for the community as the rooms looked like jail cells. All the residents we saw during the tour looked so subdued. Due to theses reasons we choose another community in the area.
My loved one was a resident at Ginter Hall Assisted Living and Memory Care. The staff was definitely kind and caring. Communication with the family could be improved, specifically in the end stages of care. Overall, I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

Our family had an in person tour with Ginter Hall Assisted Living and just from the tour experience being okay we knew it was not going to be the correct place for our loved one.
While the facility is pretty clean they do not have enough staff to support the residents. My loved one stayed in her pajamas well after lunch time. Her dirty clothes hamper was constantly over flowing. The food was often served cold mainly because they don't have enough staff on hand to feed or pass out the food.

This facility is good, we have no complaints. The staff is very friendly. Housekeeping is done well and my loved ones area is kept clean. The facility is always clean, also. I would recommend them to friends and family.

We chose Ginter Hall because of the friendliness of the staff, that's is what stuck out the most to us. To me that is what it is all about. They really seem to genuinely care about the residents, they aren't just there for a job. That is true of every single staff member we have encountered. We know that our loved one is being taken care of. I would highly recommend Ginter Hall to others.

Our mother one is really enjoying and loving the meals and dining service, she has even put on a little weight. They have a lot of activities on their calendar and we like how the place is not super big, our mother does not have to walk far to get to places. Based on our experience we would definitely recommend to others.

A Place for Mom has scored Ginter Hall Assisted Living and Memory Care 8.7 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
