We were told there would be enough for 2 meals at lunch, but it never seemed that plentiful. There were a lot of offerings for activities, but we couldn't get her to join in anything. It was a very nice place. We would have kept her there if she had felt connected to it (friends and activities that she didn't join in) and if the food situation had been better. As it is, we moved her to a small apartment that is significantly less $ and we provide the food. She is just as content as she was there.... Read more

The atmosphere of Foxwood Springs is overwhelmingly friendly, supportive, nonjudgmental and positive. This includes management, staff and residents whether in independent patio homes and apartments or assisted living. It is easy to be as involved in the diversity of activities as much or as little as one desires. It is a safe place to be. It is a kind place to be.

Staffing issues resulted in no cleaning occurring for a couple of months and with no financial reimbursement. The friendliness of the staff gets a 5+. The staff is great; work orders addressed in timely manner. Office staff are very helpful. Dining staff are customer focused and great. When it comes to the meals there are decent options but difficult to maintain a low sodium or low sugar diet with some of the options. Food is good, overall.

Her main complaint is the food either not being hot, or very good- but not every day. They have lots of activities, but she doesn't participate in much. She is enjoying making new friends & meeting new people. She is even volunteering in the "gift shop"

The staff are very friendly and efficient at this community. I go and pick up the meals and bring them back home and they are quite good. I would encourage anyone to come and visit this community. My tour experience was very good and they gave me all the information I needed.

The first thing we noticed right away was just how clean the community is and how exceptional the staff are. Even on our tour no matter where we went we saw people walking down the hallways and saying hi, it feels more like an apartment complex with friendly neighbors. There are different options when it comes to the meals and they have plenty of activities for residents to engage in.

Foxwood Springs just fits our loved one, the size of her apartment is all she needs and she is settling in well. She has become interested in so many things, and the activities are just wonderful, there is more than enough things during the day to keep her busy.

Our loved one has only been there for a few months now and so far we have seen no red flags. There are plenty of activities for residents to do, but our loved one does not participate. We wish without special treatment that the staff would reach out more to our loved one to see if she would want to engage with others.
The community is kept very clean on the inside and the outside, and the staff members are very friendly. We do like the food, they gave us a fairly wide variety to choose from, we can also choose if we want small portions or big portions, and the activities are starting to back up which is really nice. This is a down to earth and family orientated community

There are no activities going on right now due covid, but we really like the community itself and the other residents here. We also really appreciate the support the staff members show towards us.

Foxwood Springs community was very accommodating during our loved ones short stay, and everyone we spoke to was nice. From our understanding the care services were good, and the value was good for what we needed.

After receiving an email from Foxwood with this detail :(With this set up we are an entry fee based community and those entry fees for apartments start around $75,000 with a portion being refundable.), we knew Foxwood would not be a possibility.

Located in quiet Raymore, Missouri at least 45 min drive from KC. Does schedule trips to KC for cultural events, but unsure how often. The garden homes are very nice w attached garage open floor plan and within close proximity to community center. Has an indoor pool. It is a buy in plan so it can seem pricey. It is an age in place facility with many health services on site, including memory care, rehab & nursing home care. Must consider this one. It eliminates the need for the family to make last minute decisions about whether to move Mom as her age/heath dictates the change.

If you want a place that has all the pomp and circumstance, dog and pony show, this facility is for you. They have it all, parties, pool, chefs and ambeience. You should know that you must park a relative with your loved one for most hours of a day. They don't tell their patient/residents of PT/OT appointment times. They stack OT/PT appointments one on top of another without regard to pt's schedule or endurance. Most residents don't question this inconvenience or to their rights to a rest period between therapies. The facility has blatently retaliated to my husband because of my call to the ombudsman to report neglect. They are trying to discharge him early and unless you can spend most days and evenings with your loved one and are skilled at "advocating for your loved one I would suggest picking another facility I have had to spend the last 3 days writing and appeal for Medicare for my loved one.

I haven't even got my dad moved in yet and I already have a review to post. Let me first say that he has been at two other nursing homes in the past 6 months so I do have something to compare it to. First I want to say you wouldn't know you were walking into a nursing home when you walked in. They have a small restaurant right by the front door, a little sitting area and a large fish aquarium. There are tables set all throughout the hallways with tea, coffee, water and water with lemon. All the staff that we came across was nice. They have a pretty large library, a workout room with a treadmill, exercise bike, free weights, pool table, in ground pool, they have theee busses available to give the residents a ride to dr appts, to the store or to activities. They also have a small general store in the facility. I will write a review in a couple months after we have been there for a while but so far I feel very blessed for my dad to be able to go there.

We had Foxwood Springs on our list of possibilities because we are acquainted with a resident there. However, overall, I found the facility to very old and outdated. We ultimately chose another community for my wife’s care because Foxwood was just not a place I felt comfortable moving her into.

My parents signed a residency contract that allows Foxwood Springs to retain for over a year, the $100,000 entrance fee, after they die or move to another facility. It is a contract that I want to warn people about I did not want my parents to stay there because of the dismal care that my mom received while in the health care center. This included a broken arm while in their care and pee covered floors in the room. The $100,000, I think is meant as a pressure to stay at Foxwood, because it can be applied to the additional costs of living in assisted living rather than independent living.

From what I saw of this facility, it was very nice. However, i could not place my husband here because they could not accommodate him due to his health needs. The facility also did not have all of the amenities that he would have liked.

For the most part I'am comfortable with my mother's move to this community. I would suggest that they have more activities available for the residents. The meals are good, she is pleased with the meals. The community is well-kept, but there is a lot of updating needed around the facility. The care staff is good, they are taking good care her. The administration needs to understand the needs of the residents, and put out the money needed to improve the community. Overall it has been a pretty nice experience, and this is a community I would recommend.

A Place for Mom has scored Foxwood Springs 8.2 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
