Floral Creek Alzheimer's Special Care Center

I am very happy with Floral Creek Alzheimer's Special Care Center. They've just had a major change of personnel, so I'm hoping that once the dust settles they get back to some of their events that everyone enjoyed.

Honestly they all get 5s except the staff friendliness which gets a 10 even though that isn't an option !!!! It was a wonderful place for my mom to spend her last year and a calming place for my dad and the kids to visit her at. It was immaculate, had so many creative activities (although my mom never chose to participate) and they treated her with love and respect. It was expensive but cheaper than some other places in the area and given all the care she needed and the staffing necessary I feel it was fairly priced...I would without hesitation suggest this to others who live in that area and are wanting a smaller sized long term care residence for their loved one. As a side, we would have never known about it if not for A Place for Mom. So thank you.

My name is [name removed]. I frequently visit Floral Creek at different times of the day. I honestly can say that when I visit the residents are beautifully cared for. The residents always appear happy. I highly recommend Floral Creek.

My Dad is currently a resident at Floral Creek and I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs to place their loved one in memory care. We went to 5 local facilities and walked out of Floral Creek knowing this was the place! Floral Creek has people working there who are literally Angels on Earth! The Director, [name removed] is absolutely amazing! [name removed] has so many amazing ideas to keep the residents engaged. What I love about Floral Creek is that they truly try to give the residents enjoyment and fulfillment in their lives. It’s not just about living out their final days – it’s about making the most of these years despite their dementia. Dad was on hospice when admitted & was recently discharged from Hospice! He has gained 10 lbs since admission and is more alert & engaged. Floral Creek has a FANTASTIC activities program! One of the many things that sets Floral Creek apart is that there is a nurse on staff 24/7. We are VERY pleased with the care at Floral Creek!

What our family likes the most about the Floral Creek Alzheimer's Special Care Center is how friendly the staff members are and how caring they are towards the residents. Based on the experience we have had so far with this community, we would recommend them to other families.

The Floral Creek Alzheimer's community is a bright and immaculate. The staff are angels on earth.. They have a ton of creative appropriate activities.... No memory care facility of high quality is going to feel like a value. They are very expensive. But this one was far less expensive than others we visited..

I'm more than thrilled with everything about Floral Creek. They keep the residents busy all day- they're not just sitting around in their rooms. The daily activities are wonderful for them. While visiting I've joined in with a Zumba class, yoga class, arts and crafts session. Today while visiting they had a little concert out in their Town Square- the residents were moving around in their seats really enjoying the music. I'm so impressed with Floral Creek and thankful for the decision to move my loved one there.

I give a 5 to all. Really impressed with all - especially staff. My aunt did not handle becoming a resident well. They handled her with care, patience and appropriately set boundaries as needed. They also provided me support during this very difficult transition. The best!

We recently transferred our mother here from another memory care facility due to care issues, and are very happy with the changes in our mom. Floral Creek has been very helpful and accommodating in the care of our mom, who has a lot of anxiety and can be very impatient due to her dementia. [name removed]and [name removed]were wonderful with answering all of our questions, and the team worked with us to make her stay at Floral Creek positive and caring. Floral Creek has an open, welcoming entrance that is like a town square. There is a weekly entertainer/musician for the residents and family members to enjoy. Floral Creek has a monthly activity calendar with daily activities, a diverse menu for the residents, and a support group. The rooms are large and bright. The courtyards and private dining room for family events are a definite plus. Each resident's room and bathroom has a call switch to pull, when in need of a caregiver. Each caregiver has a walkie talkie to communicate for assistance.

I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The caring nature of the staff, the community being bright and clean all stand out to me. The activities are excellent that they have available for the residents. My loved one is enjoying the food.

This was a great place, I wish that I had found it sooner for my loved one. I would recommend Floral Creek to anyone that is able to afford outside care. The chef here has pheromonal food to provide for the residents. They do participate with Veteran's assistance.

We chose Floral Creek because of recommendations from people we knew and because of the way we were treated initially by the staff on our tour. The staff are extremely caring and you can tell it is genuine, it is refreshing to see. I would recommend to others looking.

They are very good with how they communicate and interact with their clients and patients and the family. Your loved one can be who they are and they don't have to change anything at all. This is a great community.

Although my husband was only there for a month, the care at Floral Creek met my expectations. He was cared for and accommodated as he declined rapidly. While on hospice I was able to sit with him in his room. I was able to listen to the staff's interactions with the residents and what I heard was singing and positive engagements. I noticed everyone worked together as a team to get the job done even if it wasn't part of their job description. From my first interaction with [name removed] to tour the facility, [name removed] at the front door who was offering help to everyone, and [name removed] singing with the residents, I knew it was the right place for my husband. The food was tasty and Chef [name removed] did an awesome job of accommodating everyone's schedule, likes and dislikes. [name removed] and [name removed], the nurses went the extra mile to keep my husband comfortable and me informed. The staff was always pleasant and I can tell they really liked their job. The resources they offered were very helpful.

The care takers at Floral Creek are wonderful, they are very attentive to the residents there. There are only 24 residents at the moment, so with them not being at full capacity they are able to give more one on one care and attention to each resident. They treat our loved one wonderfully, they call us anytime there is an emergency. The meals and dining is great, we have been allowed to eat a few meals with our loved one in open areas. We just cannot say enough positive things about Floral Creek. The value for cost is all inclusive, and they gave us a great deal which we appreciated. We first had a virtual tour, and even the virtual tour was excellent. We have been extremely happy with our choice.

I have never seen anything dirty at the community. The staff is all great and my husband loves it here. As far as I know, the care is very good and the staff all clearly have a passion for what they do. The activities director is fantastic and puts on great activities for the residents. I do think the community is a good value for the price. The building itself is very bright and cheerful and the staff do a great job with protecting the residents, especially amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.

When [name removed] took over as the Executive Director, our family had a chance to meet and discuss our concerns. [Name removed] listened to our concerns and asked us to give her time to put together a team of people who were there for residents and not just there for a paycheck. [Name removed] has compiled a staff that is dedicated to the well being of the residents, listens to the concerns of our family and keeps us up to date with information on our mom.

Rittenhouse Village at Floral Vale is different than other places we toured. It was more like "home" than an institution. We entered to a lovely courtyard setting where residents, their guests and staff can sit at cafe tables to react and interact. The building itself has a lot of windows for natural light and the layout affords residents with a real sense of freedom and autonomy which is important to us. There are accessible secure outdoor areas my mom could enjoy and the shower policy is driven by safety. Even more impressive was the staff. There was good camaraderie and genuine caring about the residents. Everyone from top to bottom seemed dedicated to providing the best quality of life possible. The food even smelled great. If we decide on Pennsylvania rather than New Jersey our family will choose Rittenhouse Village.

I have known [name removed] for sometime now in his capacity as Culinary Director at Rittenhouse Village at Floral Vale. My wife is a resident at that facility and it is important to me and to other members of her family that she be provided with the best of care including nutritious and appetizing meals. In my opinion, [name removed] has a nearly impossible job as he is tasked with providing good food to many residents 21 times a week. I wouldn’t know how to begin doing that but [name removed] obviously does for which everyone is thankful. I have nothing but good things to say about [name removed]. He knows personally and interacts with each resident at RVFL as well as their visitors. It is obvious that [name removed] takes his mission to heart and puts a great deal of thought and care into everything he does. I am proud to call him my friend. - [name removed]

I feel that my wife , having been at Rittenhouse Village for nearly two years now , is being well cared for. Improvements in care , diet , and overall environment give me peace of mind when I am not there with her. I visit most days and , thankfully , have not had any unpleasant surprises. Special thanks to the management , nursing staff , kitchen staff , and all those others who have been diligent and thoughtful in their daily tasks. Keep up the good work ! God will reward you.
