The facility recently went from Dimensions to Eden Vista, the new owner. There is a new program manager. I'm not sure if other changes are coming. The place is smaller than some, which my mom likes. There is a homey atmosphere due to the smaller size. I was told that a lot of people complain about the food, but I don't know if the residents shared their concerns with the staff. Some staff aren't very good about returning calls. More activities would be nice, as well as outings. It is too expensive, as are most assisted care facilities.

My friend staying at Dimensions compliments and acknowledges MANY of the staff members throughout the facility.. Per [name removed] "I am pretty sure that I have covered all the people who have helped me tremendously, and unfortunately most likely THANKING THEM personally, would take days to do. I would like all of them to also know that it takes a very special person to allow and promote Residents to maintain their Dignity no matter what" I hope his comments express his gratitude for the time he has been at Dimensions Living of Burr Ridge
Read MoreDimensions Living Burr Ridge has been short staffed. Their turnover is frequent. Rarely see the same nurse twice. Their activities department is great and keep the residents engaged. Also happy with physical therapy.

Moms been there a year. They didn't give her the room they promised. On move in day they switched it to a very loud area. When I asked [name removed] said don't worry. We can move her later if it doesn't work out. Well now they are just rude and now they want $[removed]to move her to fix a problem they created. I tried calling director but she won't call back. If you decide to move a loved one here get everything in writing because her response to everything is I never said that. Not sure what to do at this point.

The food is good but but my loved one think it's okay. They offer a lot of activities. The people are wonderful. They are a little under staffed. They don't pay enough attention, to the residents in skilled nusring. They are very busy. So far it's been great. They could use more help, and staff. I would recommend to other families.

The community is nice. Their are little issues but I am trying to work through it. The location is great, the facility is clean. The Staff and residents seem friendly and nice. The food is mediocre at best, not that good. They do have quite a few activities that they offer.

We had a positive tour experience with Dimensions Living Burr Ridge. The staff were great and the facility was very nice, we just found another place we looked at to have a better layout that seemed more thoughtful.
My cousin has been living in this community for many years and I have seen this community gone through multiple ownerships and administrations. I visited her few days ago and she mentioned that she is very happy with all the new changes that have been happening in the community since last month. She mentioned that their new executive director is a wonderful guy and always spends time talking to her in the dining room or when ever he meets her. Their new culinary manager spends time to get everyone's feedback on how to make their dining experience better and she truly enjoys her meals. I was happy to see that she is enjoying her stay in the community.

This is the best place for my loved one. They take care of them like they are family. The aides are willing to assist with daily living activities and helping my loved one eat. It's like being with family. The food is pretty good and I've even had a chance to eat with my loved one here.

Hi, I am so thankful to [name removed] for his help in placing my mother in law at Brookdale. From the first time I talked with him, he was so compassionate and caring and really listened to everything I had to say. Even when I wanted to vent about something, he always took the time to listen to my concerns. He always got back to me very quickly when I called or texted him. Brookdale is so very lucky to have him there. The best employee of a business that I’ve dealt with in a long time. Even through this pandemic, he is my number one person who went the distance for our family. Thanks again. He deserves many accolades for his work.

Our family has been very pleased with the services provided by the Brookdale Burr Ridge team. The care services provided to our loved one have met/exceeded our expectations. The wellness director and her team are committed to the health and safety of our loved one and maintain open communications. Having this confidence in the quality of care and responsiveness to inquiries has been especially important during the pandemic. Although social events and activities are limited now due to social distancing, the team is doing all they can to keep our loved one connected to family/friends and the community.

My dad has been at Brookdale Burr Ridge for several years. The staff members there, from his caregivers to the front desk to the marketing staff, know his name and know many aspects of his life story. This facility is very “high touch.” My dad is continually in contact with other people there who care about his well-being. They know me and my husband and always seem to know what is going on in our lives, which tells me that they are taking the time to listen to my dad. We are very pleased with the care and support my dad is receiving at Brookdale and highly recommend it.

Our family has been very pleased with the services provided by the Brookdale Burr Ridge team. Our primary reason for selecting this facility was for the personalized care services offered. The care services provided to our loved one have met/exceeded our expectations. The Wellness Director and her whole team are committed to ensuring that our loved one is safe and healthy. Having confidence in this care has been especially important during the pandemic. The Wellness Director and her team maintain open communications and respond to inquiries in a timely manner. Prior to the pandemic, the facility offered a variety of social events and activities that kept our loved one engaged in the community. Although these offerings are currently limited due to social distancing, the team is doing all they can to keep our loved one connected.

My parents have been at Brookdale Burr Ridge for almost 18 months. They previously lived in Florida, but my dad's health issues made it impossible for them to be on their own anymore. Long story short, it was a quick yet stressful move for everyone. I was very nervous about moving them to assisted living, and fully expected them to hate it. Yes, the first couple of weeks were rough. But to my surprise, they settled into a routine and began to enjoy their new home. My mom speaks highly of all the staff ("There's no Nurse Ratched here," she tells me constantly). They both enjoy the food. They love sitting in the little courtyard in the warmer weather. Pre-COVID they were pretty involved in activities, including church services, Bible study, a fitness group, and game nights. To say I was shocked at how well they settled in would be an understatement! I am very grateful we found Brookdale, and especially thankful for everyone there who works to make my parents' experience such a good one. It may not be the fanciest place, but almost everyone here is kind and caring and does their best to make it feel like home.

My parents have been residents of Brookdale Burr Ridge for four years. After reviewing and observing many residences, Brookdale was our number one choice. The quality and cleanliness was the first thing that stood out before my parents arrived. Guidance and friendliness gave us the direction we needed to know that this was the right move for my parents. After a few months in assisted living, it was brought to our attention that they needed more attention in everyday activities. They we're moved to a double suite on the memory floor as a couple married for almost 70 years. The staff is outstanding in their care and services. They go above and beyond their daily tasks to make the residents comfortable and put smiles on their faces. We are blessed to have Brookdale Burr Ridge part of our family.

My mom has been at Brookdale Burr Ridge for two years now. Not only is she well taken care of, the staff has gone above and beyond to make sure that she feels comfortable. I’ve had lunches with her and the food is very tasty. They always have choices for the pickier eaters. I have to be honest, I looked at several assisted living facilities before settling on this one. I’m sure glad I made the right choice

My Mother has lived at Brookdale Burr Ridge since 2017, when the business was well-run & a good place to be. Though they can address all of her myriad of health issues well, of recent (since Jan 2019), things have changed. The Maintenance Manager, Dining Services Manager, Housekeeping Manager & Executive Director have all quit. It has been a revolving door of new faces, including cooks, servers, receptionists. Residents are very upset because they have not had room cleaning/linen change in 2-3 weeks!! And there is always some excuse from management. Food service is a joke. 3-4x/wk they RUN OUT of entrees on their printed menu. Or food is not prepared as listed, or components of the meal are "out", or the portions are tiny. Again there is always some excuse. It is quite sad. I have contacted their corporate office in the hope that change will occur SOON. This is no way for my Mom to live.
