My family is so blessed to have found Revere Court of Rockwall to care for our loved one. My Mom was in need of more care after living in an independent facility for the past 7 years. After coming to Revere Court she has just improved so much. It has made such a difference in her overall health. Everyone has been wonderful there. The staff are all so caring and compassionate and take such excellent care of her. They also are so great to answer any concerns or questions we may have at any time. It has been such a relief to have found them!

Response from Colonial Oaks at Rockwall
November 1, 2021Thank you for this amazing review, Terre! We greatly appreciate the trust people place in us, as well as the opportunity to support our residents and their families. We are happy to have you and your mom as part of the Revere Court family! Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience with us!
Our loved one so far says the meals and dining service is really good and she is enjoying all of the activities they have to offer. The value for cost is totally worth it. Compared to our loved ones previous community, Revere Court is fabulous right off the bat, it is night and day in comparison. Since our loved one has been there she has had no health problems.

Response from Colonial Oaks at Rockwall
October 12, 2021It is much appreciated to hear your review, Karen! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us and for sharing how we are doing. We will happily pass this along to our team. Have a wonderful day!
The staff at Revere Court did a wonderful job caring for both of my parents. My mother, an Alzheimer's patient, spent a little more than five years there. We had no previous experience with this disease. My wife toured a number of facilities, and said this was the best choice. The staff, procedures and facility are optimized for dementia patients. I found the staff members' patience and care very impressive. They put their hearts into their roles, and all of our family members are thankful.

Between the required assessment and actual move-in, my Mom deteriorated. We still moved in and it was the best thing that could have happened. The former facility had me convinced my Mom was about to pass away-2 weeks at Revere Court she was winning at croquet! She has gained weight, is up every day instead of laying in bed. She is more alert and tells me she is very happy. She regained some strength and motivation. Staff is great, food is great. Small, pleasant and friendly. The ED has taken a lot of time with me and I appreciate how easy it is to reach the nurse anytime. Recommend wholeheartedly!

I love this community! Everyone is supportive and able to help. My Mom has "awakened" since she moved here. The Ed is always available and all the staff helps with the residents. The food is overall good. It's important to remember this is a home for someone with Dementia. There are many levels of assistance here-it's vital that a family stay focused on the resident, not themselves. Many of the same staff have been here more than 3 years. The nurse and nurse assistant are always available. A physician actually visits twice a week. There is a foot doctor, dentist and weekly beauty shop.

They were disorganized when we brought him and they lost all the paperwork. Then they changed his meds including taking him off his insulin (deciding his diagnosis that the endocrinologist sent over was incorrect) it almost hospitalized him. We do have him back on insulin now, thanks to the endocrinologist stepping in, and his health is improving. We truly like and appreciate his med techs. It has been a very tough and stressful transition.

[Name removed], Executive Director of Autumn Leaves in Rockwall has been very helpful and a constant in my Dad's transition. We communicate often and she has always been available and understanding, as this is not only a new experience for my Dad, but for me as well. Everyone at this facility are very friendly and helpful. I feel very secure in the fact my Dad is receiving the care he needs at Autumn Leaves.

Love Autumn Leaves! We initially took a chance on another place and had to move out quickly -they couldn’t handle Dementia Autumn Leaves jumped thru hoops to ease the move in process. My Dad is happy and busy, no behaviors . The staff interacts in a warm and friendly way, like family. They encourage family involvement Do yourself a favor- educate yourself about the disease, be reasonable and realistic. Choose the right place to start with or as the disease progresses, and it will, you will be made to move. Dementia needs special care- Autumn Leaves of Rockwall provides that service.

I made the decision to move my husband here 4 months ago.I had toured a week earlier, [name removed] took all the time I needed to answer my questions and explain what was happening.I thought it was too soon to move. After several difficult days and nights,I decided it was time.I called [name removed] and she said, come on in, we got this. Best decision I could have made. The ED/ nurse, activities girls and all the staff are great. It’s really important to learn about the disease and it helps to understand how it causes changes.I enjoy the activities and environment. The staff works hard to make Family nights fun. You should definitely place a family member here for care.

Even though i do not have a loved one at this facility, i would not hesitate to place my loved one here if I had the need for memory care. I work in the long term care industry and have toured Autumn Leaves Rockwall. The facility is clean and well appointed. I always see the residents involved in activities when i stop by. The staff is always attentive and engaged with the residents as well as visitors to their community. If I ever have family or friends needing the services they offer, I will readily use them.

We first toured Autumn Leaves in September, 2017, anticipating the need for my mother in law. We were very pleased with the friendly staff, openness, sun lit rooms, attentiveness of the staff to the residents, the pleasant aroma, and the many activities. Mother became a resident at the end of 2017. [Removed] has been and continues to be of utmost help. She has even taken time off on several days of her vacation to do the input for Mother and to take pictures to send to us. Patti definitely goes above and beyond! And she is a lovely person to work with! We are eager to get to visit with Mother this month. We have received regular communication and pictures indicating she is resting well, eating well, and participating in activities. Our desire was for Mother's life to be enhanced with this move and we believe God has answered those prayers with a big YES. We are grateful for this facility, the philosophy, and the staff.

I made several visits to Autumn Leaves in Rockwall and was very pleased with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff each time. [Removed] answered our many questions and encouraged visits from various family members so we would feel comfortable having mother as a resident of Autumn Leaves in Rockwall. When we moved my mother, [Removed] came in from her vacation time to be there to greet mother and help me fill out the paperwork. What dedication to residents. [Removed] has been sending pictures everyday and updating us on mother's adjustment. I could not have done this transition without [Removed]

Clean, lovely place. This is a memory/dementia place. You will be overwhelmed if you think it is for adult senior living- it is special care for dementia I was given a tour by the nurse. Answered my questions, explained various options. She was very busy, multiple interruptions, some patients followed me on tour. She wasn’t flustered and I could tell she is very involved with people that live there. The staff was handling all kinds of behavior. Staff was playing a ball game and everyone seemed happy and involved You can still live there if your family member has to be in a w/c. They won’t move you out for dementia changes, they will work with the patient. No odor, food looked and smelled good.

November 3, 2017I’d like to apologize for your disappointing experience while visiting our community. As distressing as it is for us to hear about your dissatisfaction, we’d like to thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We have been in business for more than 14 years and strive to provide the highest quality care for our residents with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
I toured this community for care. We did not like the staff that was very pushed. We felt like it was a high-pressure sale. We did not like that the other residents were not active and that the staff kept the residents alone while listening to music. They did have activities that we offer. We suggest that families tour this community

August 30, 2017We would like to sincerely thank you for bringing both your compliments and concerns to our attention.
My parents have lived at the Autumn Leaves of Rockwall for several years, and I am very blessed by the care they have received. The executive director, [Removed], goes above and beyond to make sure that the residents receive the attention they need. She is always friendly and respectful to both the residents and family members. The director of health care,[Removed], also does an exceptional job of meeting the needs of the residents. Each of the other managers have also been very kind and helpful. My dad has grown attached to several of the caregivers. His face lights up when they talk to him. He told me that the staff makes sure he has what he needs, and he really likes the food.

The staff at this community took good care of my loved one while he was living here. Everyone was nice and they encouraged him to participate in the daily activities. He liked the food and they did accommodate his dietary needs. The community is clean and has a homey feel to it.

Response from Colonial Oaks at Rockwall
August 30, 2017Thank you for your kind comments regarding our staff and our community. We work hard to find staff who are genuinely compassionate and focused on our residents.
I toured 2 weeks ago. I arrived at shift change apparently. I was greeted by a woman who identified as former sales but could show me around. She left for a few minutes as I was treated to the Administrator berate the staff as lazy and disrespectful. Everyone was in her office. She was discussing how the staff wasn't toileting people. My tour started, all seemed fine. I was introduced to the nurse and an activity director. As employees walked out several discussed how they hated this job, wished "Suzanne "would leave. At the end of the hall 2 more employees discussed how rudely staff is treated. I think if staff is reprimanded it should be in private, not right at the front door. My concern is if staff feels this way , will they take it out on my mother? Patients seemed pleasant, many sleeping all around in chairs, some walking around. I ended my tour. Staff was friendly to me, introduced themselves.

My loved one hasn't been there very long, so there are a lot of things I'm still learning. They offer a lot of activities. Everyone on the staff is familiar with the residents and very compassionate. We are both definitely still adjusting. We chose this community because we visited it about a year ago, along with several others. We liked the activities they provide and how compassionate the staff seems.
