Overall, Our experience at Cloverland Park was good. I feel there was a staff shortage in memory care. Staff was always friendly, caring and helpful. Activities for residents were encouraged, social time and celebrations were also provided.
I stumbled upon A place for mom when looking into assisted living facilities without much luck on my own especially due to not living in the area where my dad and mom would be living. I was met with all the help and experience one wishes to find in such a situation and their recommendation for Cloverland Park fit all the needs of my parents. The hospitality alone with the staff’s expertise at Cloverland is up to par with what we were looking for. A nice place for my parents to call home.

Families should know that there is a high turnover rate at the executive level. Communicate by email to have a paper trail. The memory care staff is kind and caring, but not professional. Some of the white residents are racist to the Caregivers, and I wonder how long these workers will put up with it. I would recommend Cloverland Park, with the understanding of reasonable expectations of the facility and staff.

As far as Cloverland Park, we aren't sure it's the right place for my loved one. We are giving it more time. It is a beautiful facility. The staff have been nice, but they seem to be very short staffed. I have been by there to visit early on some evenings and on the weekends and at time,s no one has been at the front desk. I'm not sure what would keep anyone from going out and them not knowing it for some period of time. My loved one said that the food service and quality haven't been too good since moving in. The food was delicious when we visited, which was one of the things that sold us on it. They do have new management, so we hope for positive changes.

We toured Cloverland Park during our search for a facility for my wife and I. The cleanliness and friendliness was great! The atmosphere was great! Great value for cost. This facility seemed like a nice place, we really liked it!
We like the cleanliness and a few of the workers are nice. The value is good. The Director is not suited for the job. He is very nice but has no follow through on anything. Nothing ever gets done. The nurses are just downright nasty. We avoid them at all costs. I understand there are some nice ones in memory care but we don't see them. The service is horribly slow. You can ring your call button and it can take 45 minutes for them to answer the call. The food is atrocious. They need to fire everyone and start over.

What we like the most about the Cloverland Park community is the fact that our loved one is improving already and the staff members who work there are great. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families looking for a place for their loved ones.

We picked this community, because it was very very close to my house, all inclusive and the price. They can improve on activitities, and food.

I toured this community and it was very good!
I toured this facility and it's beautiful! The Memory Care Unit is wonderful! I want to live here! But it is expensive, so it wasn't an option for us.
I think Cloverland Park is a great facility. I have been very pleased with the experience so far based on what I have heard. The person that I placed there said the food was not very good, but did say that it has recently been improving.
When we toured Cloverland Park it was brand new and they had not even hired all of their staff yet. I couldn't really get a good feel for the facility because it was so new and we were nervous that was going to be too big of a risk.
Response from Cloverland Park
July 25, 2022Hello! Thank you for visiting our community. We would love to show you around again and answer any questions you may have now that we are full open! We hope to see you again soon!
They sell you very well, but they have not been able to live up to what they sell yet. Some caregivers were excellent, but the majority of them were contracted caregivers not permanently hired at the facility, and they were not up to standard at all. It seemed that Cloverland Park brought those contracted workers into the memory care unit, instead of keeping the good people there. The food and activities were good. But due to the inconsistencies in care, I would not recommend them to other families.

Response from Cloverland Park
June 9, 2022Hello. Thanks for leaving a review. Thank you, Jessie Wiens, Regional Manager, 832-381-6421
The staff members are just a 5 + they are excellent, and their care services have been excellent. We have no complaints to this point, it is a brand new facility that just recently opened. It is a home type of setting. Our deciding factor is that its not a large facility, maybe 112 units give or take so its not extremely overwhelming. Compared to other facility we looked into the value is good, they are all expensive but it is reasonable. The distance to the elevator was much better than other communities, and the room layouts were much much better.

A Place for Mom has scored Cloverland Park 9.1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
