Our family had an in person tour with Cedarhurst of St Charles, and overall the tour experience was good but it was just based on personal preference on why we did not pick it, and another community had a swimming pool which was big for our loved one.
We had a pretty good tour with Cedarhurst of St. Charles. The main reason we did not pick this facility was because the memory care was all the way up on the top floor. Our family member was worried if there was a fire how they would get down.
Our family had an in person tour and it was a great experience, the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable however it was just not going to meet the needs of our loved one .
Our family had an in person tour and this would of been our second choice, we like the smaller scale of it, we thought it was more manageable with fewer residents.
We toured Cedarhurst and it was great but we did not get that homey comfortable feel that we got at other facilities. For instance, their activities room is in the basement and it just kind of felt like I was at a convention.
Communication is good between the staff and our loved ones, they keep us well informed and up to date. The community is neat and clean and the staff is very friendly. They do a good job taking care of my loved one and I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.
