Brookdale Westlake Village (Offering HealthPlus)

My family and loved on had a good experience with Brookdale Westlake Village. The community was clean and friendly. We would recommend that your loved one is moved in during the week. This will allow the welcoming team to be available to assist with settling your loved one into the community. Overall we would recommend the community to others for their loved ones.

This facility is great! The meals are perfect, my loved one has never eaten so much! They have a different staff on the weekends versus weekdays and that can be a challenge at times, but overall the staff is great. The Activities Director is incredible, she's just a doll and does everything. Unfortunately, my loved one chooses not to participate in the activities (his personal choice). I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

All the staff is very interested in the wellbeing of their residents. The apartment is nice. It's not luxurious, but we weren't looking for that. It's very comfortable and well appointed. And my family member is looking forward to getting more involved socially.

Everyone we met is friendly and helpful. When my loved one had a minor leak in her kitchen, it was fixed within 1/2 an hour if her calling the front desk. The meals are decent and they will accommodate you( in case you don't want what is being served that night).

Things are going very well here for my mother and we are having a good experience so far. We chose Brookdale because they came recommended to us by another facility. We also wanted to stay with her doctor and they work within the Brookdale facility. The food is prepared on site and residents get a menu with variety to choose from. Is it very easy to get communication from the nurses, general practitioner, et., If I text or call they respond quickly. The whole staff is very aware of how my moms day to day health is. I would absolutely recommend them to other families.

We were very pleased with Sales person. Very kind and considerate and spent a lot of time with us. Found this exact apartment we needed. However, since moving in my family member has to find her own cleaning and meals are not what they were in the beginning.

We really love it here. The convenience is great. My loved one's apartment is beautiful. The residents say hello in passing. We like the staff, although they're very much understaffed right now. She loves the food here as well.

They are very good with care services but they are understaffed. Anyone that has done services with her has been wonderful, however it can be hard to schedule due to lack of help. Very good for people who can live pretty independently.

I was very pleased with the facility and the staff I came in contact with. [name removed} did a great job taking me through all the different areas of care and explaining the differences.

We weren't there long, so I didn't meet much of the staff. But everyone I met was very nice, friendly, and helpful. They were very wiling to help out and do whatever was needed. My loved liked the floorplan - there was lots of storage space and closet space, which was very important to her. They kept the apartments nice and clean, as well as the common areas. My loved one also really enjoyed the food.

My loved one enjoys the food. We have already recommend a few people to go here.

This community was more geared to people with a lower level of functionality. The rooms sizes were less than average, the food was below average but did have a good variety. I would recommend this community if you need this type of care

I moved here with the anticipation of living life to its fullest – even without driving. I enjoy live musical events, daily exercise classes, excellent meals, rewarding intellectual experiences and beautiful surroundings.

[names removed] ( aide) were great nurses and she has never had such great nurses. She states they were " Johnny on the spot" whenever she needed something.[names removed] in rehab were the most fun she has ever had and if she has to go through rehab again she wants it to be with them.

My mother said everybody at Brookdale was real nice and the food was good. She said the girl that gave her a bath was real sweet and she liked everybody and they were all nice to her.
