I'm really happy here and was hoping this would be my last move. I'm in the independent living apartments. My apartment is beautiful, I have a big, beautiful yard, nice neighbors and we're invited to join in all the activities at the Assisted Living building, including meals for a very reasonable price - transportation on the East Park bus - regular shopping trips - really couldn't ask for more. East Park is no longer a retirement community - we have a 37 year old guy just moved into our building, a couple in their 40's just moved into the building next door, and a 35 year old just moved in to the building next to that. Thankfully no children running around yet - that would be the deal breaker.... Read more

5 for each of them - this place is awesome! It is Independent, but with access to other services and activities - exactly what I was looking for. The 2-bedroom apartment has large rooms, large patio, nice big back yard, meals and activities if you want them. They also offer a bus that takes you shopping and to doctor appointments. I would absolutely recommend East Park Retirement Community.

I moved my mother out of East Park after three years there, she had bruises all over her body and sores on her butt and feet that East Park said was healed the week we left..., they lied. I moved her to another Nursing home and she was covered in bruises. She had been dehydrated also. My mother had dementia, and East Park helped make her combative with too many drugs and untrained staff. Staff that did not know how to deal with Dementia at all. I warn you, beware. Save your loved one, don;t go near that evil place.

The rooms for the residents were very nice, but the hallways and community areas were rather stark. We felt that our loved one would be more likely to want to stay in their room than sit in a community area.

This community is kept clean and the staff are very nice. They do offer some nice amenities. This is a secured property and they offer guards to help with residents that wander.

A Place for Mom has scored East Park Retirement Community 8.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
