Brookdale Rosehill

Facility was terribly understaffed and we got my parents out of there as fast as possible. I live out of state and only visited once. Went wondering through much of the building to find someone for assistance, and came across housekeeper and pharmacist.

Brookdale has been great to my mom & our family. My mom has been there about a month. The staff seem to really care and are willing to do whatever you ask. My mom is meeting new people and getting stronger every day. We hope this continues.

Our mom has not been at Rosedale long but our experience so far is very good. We appreciate all the activities they plan for residents, it’s like being a freshman in college again, making friends and learning to start over again. They work at helping residents feel comfortable. My mom likes the food and feels valued when giving feedback! This is important when one looses their independance, thank you!

We have been very pleased with Brookdale and the care our mom has received. The nurses are great! [name removed] is especially wonderful with my mom. Her sincere care makes our mom feel good about where she is living. The activities and events are so fun and family oriented. The decor is welcoming. The staff are kind and quick to respond to our needs. Definitely works recommend Brookdale at Rosehill.

My loved one has lived at Rosehill for over a year now. We have been overall very pleased with their care and they are doing very well there. While we have had some hiccups as you would anywhere the communication with staff is incredible and concerns are addressed immediately. Would highly recommend this place.

Our loved one really enjoys the meals and dining and likes going out for the day trips. We would recommend.

This is a nice community. My loved one enjoys the food and activities offered. The community supports several care types and will even work after my loved one needs to go onto Medicaid. The staff communication is good with the family.

It's been okay. It's a nice place. They've helped out and taken care of Mom a lot. Is there a perfect place? No. But we're okay with it. It took her a while, but Mom is starting to really adjust.

We are very happy with Brookdale Rosehill. We chose this facility because they did rehab with her and we just ended up keeping her here due to the care that they offer. It is all inclusive and has everything that she needs, they also offer skilled nursing. The apartments are very nice. Our experience with them has been good and I would definitely recommend them to others looking.

This is a nice place. The staff are friendly and do what they say they will do. They have a movie theater, games, and outside entrainment come in for activities for the residents to partake in. The staff respond quickly to the call button requests.

we were told that home health therapy was set and we would hear from them soon. We waited several days and called the home health and they had nothing on my husband. I called and Brookdale was told they were working on it and would call back soon. again I waited and finally called Brookdale again. Once again I was told they would gat back with me. We have called . We have been home two weeks with no Therapy. After another call to Brookdale I was told Home Health would be here Friday. Home health called today and could not believe we have been home 2 weeks without therapy and when I told them I was told they would be here Friday they said that was a lie. The Home Health is now trying to do what they can to get this taken care of! The nursing staff did a good job but it is the Administrative side where the problems occur.

It is worth looking at this community. My loved one seems to be okay here. In my opinion it is a good place to go. My loved one seems to enjoy the food. They have a good variety of food as well. They have treats for the residents.

I would tell others to beware of Brookdale Rosehill, check it out thoroughly before you moved your loved one in here. We were not impressed, it is a big corporations and that is how they treat their residents. The administrative staff never returned calls or emails, so they were not good with communication. I would not recommend to others who are looking.

My mother is currently therefore rehab from a broken hip. I can't visit except for in the window of her Room. They have done an amazing job with this virus keeping their patients safe. From the Dietitian to the nurses, therapy, admissions, nursing assistance, they are all very informed and communicate to me by phone very often. Under the circumstances of the virus I am so impressed with how well they do communicate and keep me updated on my mother's progress and her dietary needs. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone needing rehab .

They over promise and under deliver. The room sizes and the layout of the community are good. My mom likes the food. They have an outdoor space for residents to use. They have done a very good job communicating during Covid-19.

My mother has been here for over 2 years in the SNF section, and we have never had a problem. We moved her from another nursing home in Lenexa where she got bed sores twice. She has a large private room that cost much less than the semi-private room she had in the other nursing home. They never have had any flu or norovirus outbreaks in her division (unlike her previous nursing home). She has a patio with flowers and even grass right outside her window. I have several friends and neighbors that had parents here and they were also quite satisfied.

Brookdale Rosehill has changed. Word is that it is under new corporate management. While my family member has received excellent care there in the past, his recent visit there was a completely different story. He experienced inadequate attention to his needs and inconsistent care among the nursing staff. He kept repeating to us: "this place has changed." He has since left. We took steps to remove him from Brookdale within the first 36 hours of his stay. Brookdale is disorganized. Management is sloppy. Profit clearly takes precedent over compassion and quality nursing care. Don't send your family members here.

I would not use this facility for a sick animal, my mom received the worst care, night nurse threw her in a chair twice, took her blood and left the band on her arm that tightens it, takes forever when you use call light for someone to come in, no communication at all to family members, the only decent people were the rehab and nurse practitioner, within a day of being discharged from their facility, she was back in ER, with issues that she was having there, but they were treating her for something else that wasn’t related to what they should of been treating her, she was doing so much better in the ER, in less then 3 hours
