The community at Brookdale Northwest Hills is very nice and priced accordingly. The community was great but the price caused us to choose a different community. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. They took the time to answer our questions and concerns. Even the residents were very kind and welcoming.

I would say that this community is a good fit for my mom and I would recommend it. Mom is doing fine but she is still adjusting to the community and I hope she will participate in some of the activities offered once she is more comfortable. The interior and the grounds are kept very nice. I did have a chance to try a meal with her and mom thinks the food is wonderful. The nursing staff are friendly and are there when needed for each resident.

My grandma and I visited all the places in town. The Brookdale Northwest Hills was the nicest one. It has clearly been newly remodeled. The staff is very attentive and welcoming. My grandma loves all of the activities. I would recommend this place to anyone. The facility is really nice. It's always clean. Everyone there is very friendly and welcoming. This is a really nice community. We are really pleased.

My friend had her mother stay at this facility. The salesperson, Jennifer, wined and dined her mother and basically sold her on a very bad situation. Once there she quickly deteriorated and developed a UTI which left her in a diaper with chronic UTI's, hallucinations, in pain and unable to function normally. She fell out of her bed four times and is lucky she didn't break a hip. They then sent her to a rehab facility (without my friends knowledge) but did not care to follow up on her or her well being. They actually didn't know where she was at one point. The staff there are unresponsive and not helpful at all. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. They just don't care and are more interested in getting their patients money!

The Summit at Northwest Hills: We've had a few issues with them giving the necessary attention to my loved one. Also, we were charged an extra $2,000 on top of what was quoted to us. Besides that, the people are nice, and facility is well kept. Overall I'm pleased with the services provided here.

The facilities are very nice. The employees that actually deal with, and take care of the residents, are very good and seem to really care. Unfortunately, everyone I dealt with in management, from initial sales contacts, to billing management, to supervisory management, were a bunch of phoneys that appeared to regard the facility as one large "milking machine", with each occupied room being [removed], which they were obligated to "milk" for everything they could get. Their "caring concern" was so transparently phoney, it would have been laughable, had it not been for the fact that it was my mother who was the resident. If you use this facility, I strongly suggest you keep a tight hold on your wallet; go over the monthly invoice with a magnifying glass, and be prepared to have them explain and justify EVERY charge.

I think this is our first choice. Just need to run the numbers on care options adding to two room choices they have available.

We haven't been there very long yet, so I am reluctant to give fives. We have been very happy with them. I think the food could go up a few notches and be a little better. All in all I think things are going well so far.

Visited here in June, 2013. Loved the facility primarily because of the outdoor seating area in back. My folks sit on their front porch a lot, and they'd love this area (if they couldn't be at home). Also like that it was age-in-place. This is my preferred facility from the ones I visited or considered.

I was looking for an assisted living place for my mom. I was responsible with finding something for her, because she can't quite make these decisions on her own. The Summit is a terrific place! One of the things I've noticed is that absolutely everyone is so friendly. I've never met anyone at the Summit who has been in a bad mood, or seemed overworked. It takes a special person to work with people all day, every day. The Summit clearly hires and keeps the best of the best. The first person I talked to, Jennifer Slayton, was so warm and inviting. She answered all of my questions and never made me feel rushed. She explained how everything works. I don't expect any surprises regarding how my mother is cared for, and what the monthly expenses will be. That's awesome! Jennifer has continued to help me throughout this process. She's starting to feel like a member of my family. :) You get to scale your care to your needs at the Summit. This can get expensive if you have a lot of needs, but that's because you'll be using more resources (time, products). In my opinion, this type of customization is really preferable to a prepackaged "level of care." Every person needs something different. Choosing exactly which kinds of care you receive just makes everything even more personalized and special. My mother is thrilled with her life at the Summit so far. It's been about two weeks. She is comfortable, happy, and is starting to engage with others in the community. And I am so much more comfortable when I visit her, knowing that she is safe and happy. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this community to anyone, and when I mention to people that my mom is now living at the Summit, they say, "Oh, it's such a nice place!" They've earned their reputation as a great place to live.

The Summit at Northwest Hills had an opening and was the best option location and cost wise for my loved one. We toured other homes in the area, some closer to us, but they were too expensive or there was not an opening when we need one. For the most part the staff at the Summit is friendly, though I cannot state that is true of the whole staff, just the ones that my family has interacted with.
