A heartfelt shout out to Arden Courts for their loving embrace of our father. Last summer, Dad was hospitalized for five months. He struggled in the hospital environment with their systems and go-to meds to manage delirium. This complicated placement options with rehab and nursing homes. We liked Arden Courts from the beginning. Specializing in dementia care, the staff was loving and welcoming bringing out the best in him. While everyone else was writing Dad off, they gave him a chance. Everyone loved “[name removed]”. Arden Courts helped fulfill a promise we made to get Mom and Dad together again. They placed Mom in another wing of the facility and she got the same kind of exceptional care. Always together, they became known as the sweetest couple in the neighborhoods. We are so grateful to Arden Courts for giving him one last chance to live life and to pass with grace and dignity surrounded by a community that treated him like family.

Our family ha an in person tour with Arden Courts and if we can remember correctly they were not able to meet the particular needs of a health matter for my father, but we did like the community.
The entire facility is open to her, and she us freely able to walk outdoors, as the whole facility is fenced off to prevent her from wandering away from the facility. This was very important to me as my mother likes to go for walks often, and other facilities are often just a hallway inside an assisted living facility with limited to no access outdoors. I would recommend to others.

If we could give Arden Courts 10 stars, we absolutely would. They have enough staffing there who actually genuinely care for the residents. Every time we go to visit our loved one they know exactly who we are, and who we belong to. They are always complimenting our loved one. She is always clean, well dressed and they comb her hair and fix her up. If something happens to our loved one - big or small, they immediately call us which we really appreciate. Anytime we call them with questions or concerns they never seemed to be bothered, and they always connect us with the correct person. We have nothing but compliments for the staff team. The community is super clean, it is very bright, cheery and family orientated. The residents aren't sleeping around in their chairs, they are up and engaging with one another. This is the right place for our loved one, she constantly has a smile on her face. She is thriving right now. There are really nice activities as well.

Very friendly staff and well kept facilities. My wife has improved overall. Her medications have been adjusted and she is no longer taking opioid medications. The staff indivualizes care needs based on their situations and requirements. Group activities seek to engage all residents to their abilities.

Very good experience. Good people working there, and the current management is investing in the community (new roof, cameras).

We thought the care at Arden Courts was just exceptional, they were top notch and would always go above and beyond. the staff were more then attentive, and we really liked that the community was smaller and you were always surrounded by the same people so it made it easy for our loved one to get into a routine. She enjoys the meals and dining and the activities coordinator was excellent - always sometimes going on whether it was music or different board games to keep the mind sharp. We have already recommend Arden Courts to friends and family and we will continue to do so.

I would recommend you review the community for yourself to see if it would be a good fit. The friendliness, communication, and caring nature of the staff stands out to me about our experience. There are three meals a day served to the residents, and there are choices for the residents to choose from. Some of the activities available include art, exercise classes, cognitive games, and more for the residents to choose from.

Good community, didn't feel like the right fit for my loved one.
It's a smaller community, and all of the staff members have been incredibly friendly and engaging. It's very clean. There are plenty of open spaces. It's a very secure facility. They do a good job with activities. It is pricey, but as far as I know, it's one of the best in the area.

They have been very good and are taking great care of my wife. The staff really watch over my wife and check up on her. The building itself is well laid out and gets a lot of natural light. The activities they have in the afternoon are well planned out for the residents. They also have a couple of salons in the facility which is nice for the residents. I would recommend Arden Courts to others looking as long as you can afford it.
We have had a great experience with Arden Courts. We have been at 3 different places and this is by far the best. I know that my mom is safe and everyone takes very good care of her and they are attentive. Whenever I visit she is clean and happy. I really like the set up, it is almost like a neighborhood. They also have walking paths so residents are able to take advantage of that. I would highly recommend them to others looking.
Such a good fit for my loved one. My loved one is doing extremely well and is very involved with the community. She loves all of the aides and the residents and the visitors. . My loved one loves helping others and this place allows her to do that. For someone that is active and needs memory care and still likes to be somewhat independent this is a great place. She has gotten better with the consistency of care and medications and we love it. My loved one is very happy and she feels very taken care of. We could not be happier!

The facility seems very nice but I probably would not put my mom here again. It is strictly a memory care facility, so if someone is borderline or early stages, the staff cannot really make any changes moving them back to assisted living. I got the impression it is a facility for people who have more advanced Alzheimer's/dementia. The room sizes are rather small but they come already furnished. I do know that they have other locations and some of the other ones have assisted living under a different name.

I would not recommend this community at all. They didn't have enough staff. People were always in my loved one's room, and didn't have any supervision. The food I brought in for my loved one, was stolen along with her clothes. They cancel activities all the time, and didn't have structed activities. They put I love Lucy on every night. There were several behavior issues in the unit, that my loved one was in. There was a resident who kept coming up to my loved one and touching them. The administration would put on a good front, and was friendly. The nursing and staff weren't even a qualified MA on each unit. The staff was more like food service qualified. They didn't have any memory care training as it appeared. They couldn't keep anyone.

As far as memory care it is the best place to take your loved one. The activities were good and my loved one enjoyed the music. The food was very good, and my loved one enjoyed the food. If there was something that my loved one didn't like, they would provide an alternative. The staff was very helpful to the residents and families.

My loved one has been there since January. I have no complaints about this community. I am happy with the place and care. There is no COVID cases. The front office staff is very helpful and answer any questions I might have. There is paperwork that needs to be faxed every month, and they do so for me. There are 16 rooms in each wing. They have two aids that are available for each shift, and a couple of nurses for each wing. There was one incident that my loved one had and were concerned about her and decided to send her to the hospital, this was in during the third shift. They wanted to make sure she was ok, and she was. I can call anytime and the nurses give me the information. They keep my in the loop.

Wish I could give zero start but that is not an option. We visited Arden Courts of Susquehanna as a possible place for our mother. We were given a tour of one of the resident’s living area. The place was nice and clean but none of the residents interacted with us. They seemed like they were over medicated. We then sat down with a representative to ask questions and find out more about the place. One of the first questions we were asked by her was when we were going to medicate my mother. That is when it clicked for me. All the residents were medicated to keep them calm. I had a very bad feeling when we left the place. I then started to ask around to friends and colleagues in health care and all I heard were negative reports of how the residents are over medicated. Several friends told me that they removed family members form Arden courts and placed them in other facilities. In the other facilities after medications were decreased or discontinued their loved ones began to interact and come to life again.
