The overall experience has been positive. The staff was wonderful, the meals looked food and they tried to get the tenants involved in the activities. Areas that they could improve on - evening Care in memory care. Having enough caregivers so they aren't overwhelmed. I had my husband in memory care and my sister in assisted living

Family doesn't know what goes on when they are not there. I would find other people sleeping in her bed. They put everyone in the gathering room during the day. I think they are understaffed. I don't trust that nursing home. I would not even put another family member there. The place smelled bad too.

I recommend Arbor Rose to others. I picked this community because it was a Cottage with only 8 residents and one caregiver seemed more friendly.

Response from Arbor Rose Senior Care
November 16, 2023Thank you so much, Donna for taking time to review Arbor Rose Senior Care. We value your opinion deeply and we'll share your positive rating with our team. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. Warm regards, Kathleen
A wonderful facility but there could be more activities especially on the memory care side. There could be more people on staff and more often. I was impressed with NO bad odors in any of the houses. My husband was in there and my sister is now and the care is very good.

Arbor Rose was an excellent choice. They always had enough staff for both safety and "little extras" I ate there often enough to know that the food was tasty and nutritious. I only detected a bad odor in the great room once in the 4.5 months that my loved one was there. The Med Nurse was always well informed as to my loved one's PRNs and confirmed that via her computer system. The staff knew who she was and who I was. I'd recommend them again to anyone.

June 20, 2023Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback on our administrative and nursing staff. We appreciate your positive comments regarding the responsiveness of our administrative team and the cleanliness and size of the rooms. We also value your recommendation of our community to other families. -A Culture of Caring Team
My loved one was there a short period of time. I would never use their memory care unit, but I cannot speak for assisted living. My loved ones clothes often disappeared. When you walk in, there is a stench and it smelled like urine, and it makes you wonder if they are really cleaning. My loved one fell a few times, and I was concerned. They don't have enough people, who are attentive to the residents.

Right when we stepped into the room on our tour day we noticed just how nice the community was so that right there was our deciding factor. We have had experience with the meals and we think its very good. We have not had experience with the activities but we do see different things going on during the day. Based on the experience we have had so far we would recommend Arbor Rose Senior Care community to other families .

This community was just not what we were looking for for our loved one. They had individual rooms but it was really just a bed and t.v. and my loved one was just not ready for that level of care just yet.
This facility was in bad shape, we were not impressed.

We had a great tour with Arbor Rose, the facility is very nice but it was just not what my loved one was looking for at the time.

I would tell others that they promised a lot of things that did not happen. The medical staff here is really lacking, we could not trust them. The administrator tried to fix things but it just did not happen. They were not proactive, they were reactive to any issues. We ended up moving him out of here. I would encourage people to meet with all of the key staff before moving your loved one into any facility.

Response from Arbor Rose Senior Care
August 13, 2021Good morning, I hope your day is going well. My name is Jordan, and I work at the Milestone Support Center (located in Vancouver, WA). We at Milestone regret to hear that your experience did not meet the high expectations that we set. We'd like to put you into direct contact with a member of our operations team so we can address your concerns appropriately. Can you please send a private Facebook message with your preferred contact information? I can then have a member of our operations team reach out to you directly. Thank you again, and have a great rest of your day.
We chose Arbor Rose because they were cleaner than the rest, we were able to tour the facility during covid and the staff members seemed to be pleasant. We also liked that the monthly rent was all inclusive especially since she does not eat the meals. She was able to have her own private room, but they do offer shared rooms as well. I would like to have a report given about her care and what she is doing, I think that would be helpful. She seems happy here and I would recommend them to others who are looking.

Our family had an in person tour and this was our first choice. The way the community was set up was appealing, the residents have little home-like cottages so it made visiting our loved one much less limited, we would have as much access to her as we wanted. However, our family did not pick it due to the traffic patterns and it being to far away from our location. With the long drive and getting stuck in traffic it would make for a long trip.
We chose Arbor Rose because it was recommended to us and it had a very comfortable feeling to it, it was smaller and it seemed like it was going to be a better fit for her. The grounds are also very pleasant and the staff members are wonderful. They do send out emails frequently to keep families updated on what is going on. It is just a really nice facility and I would recommend.

April 21, 2021Hello James, thank you for sharing your experience with us! Sincerely - Jordan, Culture of Care Team
I would recommend to keep looking for memory care at another community. The cottage my loved one was at, was wrong for them. There were other residents that walked into my loved one's room and messed it up. My loved one moved into another cottage that is better equipped for him and other residents in similar assisted living.

My dad begin going to Arbor Rose as a Day Care attendee. We were so very impressed with the level of attention and care from the staff. When it came time for him to go to assisted living we were very happy that Arbor Rose had a room available. He has been treated very well. all of the staff are kind, considerate and engage him in conversation as well as greeting us by name when we visit. We love that his care givers are consistent and don't change. We have been so pleased we are now moving my mom into Arbor Rose. From cleanliness to kindness to family support the staff and administration have gone above and beyond. Thank you [names removed] and staff!

Arbor Rose has been doing Adult Day Care for many years. We tried to have mother stay in a semi private room but this threw her off due to her paranoia, I do not think their staff have any knowledge of how to handle any behavioral health issues

I Would find it cathartic to reveal the downfalls I see at Arbor Rose but am limited to 200 characters and our experience is with the memory care unit only. Please know there are many residents on medicaid beds ,in fact the majority in memory care and are unable to move to another facility unless an Altec bed becomes available and these don't come up often and go quickly. So, you guessed it, they are stuck!!! Those who have a choice seem to move on quickly, although moving isn't easy. Do your due diligence and carefully as placing a loved one is a difficult decision at best and I would hate to see anyone stuck. Review complaints on file and fines given. Know not everyone speaks up and although this is the me too time folks are afraid to say what really goes on.

April 3, 2018Hi, I'm Katie, I work at Milestone Retirement's Support Center. First, I'm very sorry to hear that you had a negative experience at Arbor Rose. I definitely want to know more about your experience, so I can share it with our Regional VP of Operations. If willing, please send details to Arbor Rose's Facebook page in a private message: [removed] Thank you, Katie - Digital Marketing
I toured this facility while looking for a place for my friend. This is a good facility and everything looked fine to me. It’s an attractive building and it’s kept clean. There is no odor when you walk in the door and the staff was friendly. What I really liked about the facility is they have a weighted front door. I felt reassured that there would be no chances of escape. I would recommend this facility to other families.

A Place for Mom has scored Arbor Rose Senior Care 8.1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
