The staff is very friendly. Lots of activities. But they use a broom to clean the carpet because they don’t have a vacuum. The food is repetitive, as in that, they will serve the same vegetables two days in a row. There are no quality meals here. But the staff is great.... Read more

I have had the pleasure of taking multiple tours of this outstanding facility. My aging parents are looking for a place to settle into and this is hands down the best we've looked at. From dining, to activities to the on-site medical, this will be the place for then. I can't thank [name removed] and the entire staff for the over-the-top service. Thank you!!!

I had an excellent experience admitting my brother to Assisted Living at Allegria Village. All my questions were answered and it was easy to contact staff with concerns. All replied within a reasonable time.

The staff here is professional and caring towards the residents. I've haven't met a staff member that was not pleasent and well versed in their job. From Social work all the way to dinning, maintenance and Security.

The food situation has been terrible! Official complaints have been made since January and I still haven't been contacted back. Food is too salty and overcooked. Recently patrons have to serve themselves so they touch all serving spoons (contamination) and the food runs out! If you try to ask for something else you are told the kitchen is closed. We went to the Windows Café to try the food there but we waited in line 30 min. hard on my Mom who uses a walker. The food is better but Mom doesn't see her friends there and needs this aspect badly. The staff is very young and watch rather than work. (The boys anyway. The girls are friendly, kind and caring however that staff was cut down.) On one Sunday brunch day the didn't have coffee and one day we couldn't have soda because all the dispenser were empty. We were told they were down for cleaning. At least they had some juice though they ran out of cranberry. We can't get mom's account credited for inedible meals. Recently mom said the food was a little better but she's still lost 10lbs since moving in December. Evidently the food problem has been lasting a long time. I'm very concerned about it but mom is afraid that if she complains too much repercussions will follow. I feel just terrible!! I like the amount of space in mom's apartment. Everything was cleaned, repainted and carpet cleaned. Even the holes in walls are filled. We got our own housekeeper. There are over 100 hobbies, but mom uses clinic, church, bank and library. I love that she got a used scooter for the price of the new battery ($300). We need to return it when she doesn't need it anymore. The ladies at the desk where you come in can't give you a lot of information on problems.

I toured this facility. It was a good tour and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. However, the facility looked very dated and the upfront deposit was a deal breaker for us.
Allegria Village excels in service, expertise, and amenities. I have toured the facility and am familiar with the staff who work tirelessly to ensure all aspects of client care is met. Please consider Allegria Village.

We moved in 9 years ago and my husband stood looking out our big picture window at the snow piling up below us and with a big grin exclaimed, " I don't have to shovel any of it!" We enjoy our 6th floor balcony all summer as well as the garden plot we have near the Monarch Butterfly Way Station. Life is good at Allegria Village.

Very kind and attentive staff. They went above and beyond whenever needed. The man I cared for needed quick placement after a stroke - they helped at every step. And when he no longer could stay in independent living and needed assisted living, they made the process as easy and affordable as possible.

I felt young as soon as I walked in with all the amenities they have from an art studio, photography, indoor pool, woodshop, train room and the list goes on and on! In addition, the food is outstanding - a must try if you come in for a visit. Do not hesitate to be cared for!

I recently began the process of moving my parents into Allegria Village and have found their sales team and overall onboarding process into the community to be spectacular. My parents have lived in the same home for 30+ years, so this is a big move for them as I'm sure it is for all new residents. I appreciate knowing that they will have much less home maintenance to tend to and that the Allegria staff and residents will be them feel welcome from day 1. On top of the warm welcome, I know my parents will take full advantage of the amenities available to them (indoor pool, variety of on-site care, a remodeled gym, and healthy meals from the on-site kitchen). The sales team did a fantastic job helping us explore options, learn about the community, and generally feel comfortable considering Allegria. 1000% recommend this location if you or seniors in your life are considering a retirement community!

Allegria is a nice place to live. It's a gated community, with lots of amenities such as an indoor swimming pool, arts and crafts, happy hour, physical therapy, an exercise room and field trips to name a few. The food is good and they offer several meal options. There is a beauty salon and a medical staff which includes a primary doctor, a dentist and more. Gas and electric is included and I control my heat.

Just wanted to speak out regarding the housekeeping services as they always get the blame, but never the shine. Recently signed up for the housekeeping services that are available for purchase from Allegria Village and I must say that the housekeeper is phenomenal and would highly recommend this service. Would like to thank them for all that they do.

Our family had an in person tour and the tour experience was really great
If you care about your loved one, I'd advise you keep them away from Allergria Village. Everything has gone done in quality under the current ownership. My loved one has been there for more than fifteen years and the change is so glaring and unpleasant. The staff in most areas of service is rude and unfriendly. This is especially true in the general services office. The food is worse than carnival quality. Also, it's no longer just a retirement community. Anyone, not just people 55+, who can afford the monthly rent can move in. I highly recommend looking at other retirement communities if you care about your loved ones.

The retirement part is beautiful. However, the Rehab and Skilled Nursing facilities are not. They are under-staffed and the rooms are old and junky. The hospital bed in my mom’s room was broken. They left my mom’s window open and it was 16 degrees outside! It took several hours to reach anyone by phone to help. STAY AWAY! Do NOT send your loved one here. The nurses are bottom of the barrel, with no empathy for patients.

I would like to see more Allegria reviews. HFV was awesome. Allegria unknown. I can certainly report that the rehab services my mother experienced this past week were horrific. Very sad, after all these years. I am am rating the rehab and would love a conversation with someone that actually cares.

A Place for Mom has scored Allegria Village 9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
