The staff seems to be friendly but they don’t do a good job with given care. The bed was wet in the morning and wasn’t changed until 7pm. The wheelchair and cushion smells like urine. The floor mats on both sides of the bed were dirty. The carpet in the hallway has stains in it. The hallway usually smells like BM. Again staff is friendly and helpful when you (a visitor) ask for assistance.

A beautiful place to live. I have visited quite a few independent living facilities; non quite this nice! You pay nothing else but the month's rent unless you choose to. The rooms are spacious ( I drive a very large scooter and there's plenty of room for it.)There are no rats, bedbugs or roaches to contend with. The pool is not Olympic sized, but will suffice for most people. The food is fair, but most times, I cook my own. This place is the best of all I have seen, for the price!

I placed my sister in Allegria because she has beginning Dementia and still was quite dependant. She has a big studio apartment and has made plenty of friends there! It has great activities and many perks! She loves it and when the time comes for assisted living that just involves a move to another wing within the facility! I highly recommend this place and it is VERY BUDGET FRIENDLY!!!

Definitely ask more questions, because at 1st all was included then after the closing I found out differently. We were told told that I could go to the restaurants , bus transport to grocery store , target , Walmart there are 2 salons - It's there but I am not eligible since I don't have a meal package they made it sound like I could still go just would have to pay which would have been fine from time to time and as far as the rides now it's only if I'm invited by a resident .. and 1 salon the other one in my section is closed.

Well as far as my apartment goes, I like it , but very short-handed on workers, found only 1 person to be helpful. As far as restaurants I’m not on the food program, so cannot eat at the restaurants only the cafe , no shopping trips to grocery store , so was quite disappointed after the fact because they raved as to how much how I would like the amenities , pretty much the reason I chose it since I can no longer drive . Why would they even tell me all this , they knew from the get go where I would be placed . So not quite as happy as I thought I would be , only 1 salon to go to which is quite busy, maintenance takes a while , and now anywhere I need to go costs more than I anticipated. So big switch to when they were getting me to sign

Once I found the shower room with a used towel on the floor and the bottles of someone's scattered on the shelf higgledee piggledee. I don't like the fact that the Memory Cate floor doesn't have a shower in the patient's rooms. 2x per week they have my Dad go down to the shower room. The staff in the dining room are ok but not the friendliest. One was telling a woman to stop talking and eat. ( probably so they could clean up quicker) I reported both incidents. Hopefully it's better now. This was in November 2023. The Dementia care director works with the activities director to keep them busy everyday. My Dad is thriving with that. He also has some friends that are still fairly with it he can talk to in their family room in between meals and activities. My Dad likes that he doesn't have to worry about remembering anything. They come and get him. Someone cleans his bathroom once a week and somebody comes and picks up his laundry once a week. Also, since Allegria is such a huge complex, I've been able to take him to their chapel on Sunday. It's less confusing because it's still under the same roof. When I used to take him to church with us, he would afterwards want to go back to his old home. Another benefit is his primary care doctor comes into Allegria to see him and treat him. Also, there's a woman who cuts hair on Wednesdays and an aide will take him there for that. I do not even need to go for that. All in all it's been great. They even took him on a field trip once to see the Thanksgiving Day Float Warehouse!

January 17, 2024Thank you for sharing your thoughts about Allegria Memory Care. Your feedback is valuable, and we're pleased to hear your Dad is thriving in our program. We appreciate your positive comments and are committed to providing excellent care to your Dad.
I picked this community because of the cost and what is provided within that cost i.e. gym hot tub 3 restaurants with one meal per day provided. My moms unit in particular is beautiful although all the units are not equal. The park-like setting and walking paths are truly lovely, I find it comforting that there is a guard and gate to get in along with a system of checking on residents daily without disturbing them. Furthermore a very nice feature is pull cords in both the bedroom and bathroom. The residents are kept informed of happenings around the building The food offerings are very good with many choices. It is very easy to schedule rides as needed for a cost. So far I have not found any significant negatives. A Place for Mom have been a wonderful and invaluable help in finding a great affordable place for my mom. Thank you!

November 16, 2023We are so grateful that you took the time to leave a review. Reviews like these enable us to help so many more people who trust the opinions that others choose to share. Thank you!
My Uncle resided in an independent living apartment from July 2021 until he passed away in September 2022. Allegria took over the facility from [name removed] during his time there. My Uncle's condition was terminal from the start and we were insured at his lease signing that he could comfortably stay in his apartment for his remaining days. Once he could not walk down for meals we would attempt to call in meal orders for delivery to him and almost daily no one would answer the phone. We had to leave work on several occasions to take him food because by the time we could contact someone we were informed that we missed the window for ordering. My Uncle passed away over one year ago and Allegria still has failed to return his security deposit. They initially claimed there was no beneficiary listed then once we produced our copy of the lease the billing manager told us she was waiting on an update from the CFO. We have been waiting over 8 months now!

My loved one is a resident at Allegria Village. Everyone in the facility is friendly and caring, right down to the staff at the entrance gate . They all care and will do anything to make you happy. I never have to worry about anything. The facility is very clean! There is constant communication with all services, ex: hair salon, housekeeping, etc. The move in was easy and smooth. They have wonderful food and a great variety. I would absolutely recommend Allegria Village to family and friends. I would not want my parent to go anywhere else.

I am utterly disgusted and heart broken even thinking about what took place in this hell hole. My 81 year old grandmother was not allowed to get up for 26 hours because she did not receive an evaluation. She had just gotten her second hip surgery in a month, and the bedpan wasn’t a good option for her. The staff was very rude and would not let her use a bedside commode because she had not been evaluated. Then refused to give her an evaluation because we were checking her out that day. They repeatedly said they could not service her because insurance wouldn’t pay for it. She was still “in their care” for three hours after this point. Every single member of the staff besides ONE PERSON possessed zero empathy. The DON and rehab director are truly satans spawn. I am still sick to my stomach thinking about what we all had to go through, especially my grandmother, and want to cry even a day later. Also- there are ants everywhere in the rehab.

We toured Allegria Village during our search for a Memory Care facility for our loved one. Everything on the tour was good. I have not heard 'great' things about their food and it definitely wasn't great during my loved one's stay there in rehab. But our tour overall was great! They were very accommodating and transparent on everything.

A Place for Mom has scored Allegria Village 9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
