These provisions include reminding a resident to maintain his/her medication schedule in accordance with the prescription, medication supervision and administration, and proper training of direct care workers to handle and administer medications. Staff members obtain training in a variety of areas. These areas include administration of medication, residents rights and responsibilities, containment of infectious disease, and safety and fire prevention. The minimum number of residents for this community type is 21. This type of community is required to offer a number of services. These include medication management, reminding resident of important activities to be carried out, guidance, and supporting a resident’s personal and social needs.
