The day staff in my mom's area is excellent. Housekeeping seems adequate. I don't know about the meals. My mom has dementia, so I can't get an answer that is accurate. CP has ice cream socials and wine and cheese socials a couple of times each week. The chair exercise class is excellent. Because of her dementia, my mom doesn't take advantage of or participate in all of the activities which are available every day. Move in was no problem... but elevator is tight for large furniture. I am very happy with Cranberry Park and would recommend it. Cost is way less than other places in this area.... Read more

I give Cranberry Park Assisted Living points for its atmosphere and setting. It has welcoming floor plan and furnishings. Breaking things up into neighborhoods is also a smart idea. The activities director goes above and beyond- creativity in offerings. I can't say more about them as my mother does not typically participate. She does love the music in the evening's once a week. The level of caregiving is inconsistent. Some staff are very aware and check in on Mom. Often. Others do not. It really has no rhyme or reason in my opinion. The wellness team is responsive, however there's not always follow-up. Overall, it's a great place for Mom. The negative remarks have more to do with my high expectations. I believe staffing challenges are everywhere you go. And it's something I'm trying to learn to live with.

I'm happy with it. They are short staffed at times and that brings bad caretakers. For the most part it is safe and everyone is friendly. My mom does not like the food, there are not many activities she likes to attend. For the amount of money we pay, which is less than others, we do not get a lot.

My mother is currently a resident at Cranberry Park at ShorePointe. We moved everything and it was pretty easy. Bed, couple of dressers, chairs and TV. I would suggest a mover if a lot of large furniture. The elevator is not overly large. The activities staff is great. Lots of programs and they will help the residents get to programs. Day shift caregivers are very good. No experience with other shifts. Housekeeping is good. I am thankful and happy with the care that my mother receives at Cranberry Park at ShorePointe. There are less expensive options but were not convenient for me...much farther to drive.

My parent is currently a resident at Cranberry Park at ShorePointe. Everything at this facility has been great. They communicate with me when needed and give me updates. If I have an issue, it is always addressed. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

Everyone is always friendly and helpful. If I need anything or ask a question, they always get back to me. The nurses are friendly and available. The techs are as well. Sometimes they are short staff but they make it work. They could improve the food, my mom is not a huge fan. I would like to see more activities for her to do. Overall, I'm pleased and happy with her stay there so far.

Just like everywhere else, staffing shortages are the most apparent and biggest challenge. However, our mom is happy and seems to be well cared for.

We've had a very good experience at Cranberry Park at ShorePointe. One of the most telling things was when my brother had a health issue. I was speaking with him on the phone and didn't like how he sounded. So I called the wellness center, and they immediately went and checked on him. They checked in with him multiple times, and when they were concerned about his wellbeing, they didn't leave his side except to call me to tell me what was going on, which I thought was excellent. Before I took him to emergency, they immediately printed up information on what as going on with him, his list of medications, etc. to take with me. I appreciated how well they handled the entire situation. On a more day-to-day note, the food is excellent, plentiful, and tasty. There was a little bit of a miscommunication in the beginning that they would automatically be accommodating his dietary needs. They do have appropriate choices for him, he just didn't know he needed to ask. But that has all been sorted out now. And we've had a great experience overall.

Hope you are checking on your loved one constantly if they are staying here in memory care. Every excuse not accountability.

My mother resided here for 4 years.. She fell from her wheelchair at home. She could not walk. She could not get to phone. She was hospitalized then transferred to nursing home. She wanted to go home but that was not possible. She was not happy and angry with me. The caring/loving caregivers and activity staff were able to change her attitude. They became like family. Having a doctor and nurse who could see her on site was very helpful. If staff was concerned about her during the night, they would call me to discuss options. On a lighter note: Initially, mom said bingo was for old people. She was 92 !! One day the great grand kids said they wanted to play so she reluctantly joined them. She then became addicted to playing and winning quarters. After mom’s passing, I volunteered here until Covid restrictions. I couldn’t leave the residents and staff !

My mom spent 2 1/2 years at Cranberry Park at Shorepointe. She was welcomed and we were pleased at how well she settled in to her new home. The staff couldn’t be more accommodating and caring. She enjoyed her new surroundings and never complained. It was a great fit for her and for our family. Would recommend this community for other families.

In [date removed] we enrolled Dad at ShorePointe Village. He was then 92 years old. He had an active mind, but his health was failing. He wasn't safe alone at home - with a bedroom upstairs, a basement, a kitchen, and non-ADA bathrooms. He liked ShorePointe with its busy community, activities, an attractive apartment with room for some books, and a visiting room where his many friends could stop by. Dad lived at ShorePointe until his passing in early 2021. As his health failed. ShorePointe conscientiously increased his care, and staffed his needs. During the COVID crises, ShorePointe diligently kept its residents safe and provided zoom calls in order to compensate for the inability of residents to have face to face visits. A helpful, responsive and competent staff managed and cared for Dad. The business office was always ethical and precise in its dealings with us. We highly recommend ShorePointe at Cranberry Park.

A Place for Mom has scored Cranberry Park at ShorePointe 8.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
