These include reminding resident of important activities to be carried out, assisting a resident to keep appointments, supervised personal care, and supporting a resident’s personal and social needs. Before a resident is accepted, they must go through a service plan screening to ensure their needs are going to be met. This screening includes a number of areas of interest such as The home must complete a service plan in cooperation with each resident and/or their representative, service plan takes into account the preferences and competency of the resident, The service plan must be updated annually and following a significant change in health status, and service plan identifies the individual’s need for services.
