My Mom moved into Heritage Green Assisted Living in January, 2019 and has been very satisfied there. I have been very impressed with the staff and how they care for the residents. There is always some type of activity going on that Mom can participate in to keep herself occupied. The facility is clean and the meals are excellent. Mom has actually gained weight since she has been there which is a good thing. The move into Heritage Green has been a very good experience for all of us. I would highly recommend this facility for anyone looking for an assisted living opportunity.

Nursing homes, also called skilled nursing facilities, provide long-term care for seniors with significant physical or mental health conditions, and short-term care to people recovering from an injury or hospital stay. Nursing homes provide personal assistance and medical care from licensed professionals. Services in skilled nursing facilities often include:
A nursing home offers lodging to at least two persons who have no personal relation to the administrator. This type of establishment provides its residents with 24-hour care administered by on-site nurses. These nurses offer care for people who are unable to properly care for themselves.
This type of facility is a familiar and comfy care option for persons 65 years or older, however nursing homes will commonly allow access to individuals 55 and greater which is uncommon for other senior care types. Many residents of nursing homes might have behavioral troubles, which can consist of a tendency to wander, resisting care, or verbal outbursts. A significant number of nursing home occupants are seniors who have mental or physical disabilities, have incontinence issues, require assistance with daily tasks such as getting dressed, or experience difficulty seeing and hearing. Nursing homes are required to provide pharmaceutical services, medically-related social services, emergency dental services, and dietary services to residents. Some services come at an extra cost which can include specially prepared food, a private room, unless medically needed, and personal reading materials. As a resident of a nursing home, you can expect the right to be free from abuse and neglect, make complaints, to manage your money, and get information on services and fees.
