Morrow Heights Assisted Living in Rogue River, OR

We love the staff there! And the apartments are a nice size. It was close, and we know people who have lived there before and loved it. I would say go for it! It's a beautiful place, it's clean, it smells good, and the residents are well taken care of. And the staff also help with the resident's pets which is awesome.

Pioneer Village in Jacksonville, OR
4.5 / 5.0

On [date removed], as a result of wildfires in southern Oregon, my 78-year-old handicapped husband and I were homeless. Our home and RV were both totally destroyed and we were heartbroken. Hundreds were displaced in our area and there was a dearth of housing units, particularly ones that were handicap accessible. I happened upon a website called "A Place for Mom", and I entered our information. A short while later I received a call from [name removed] who doesn't usually work on Sundays, but saw my request and reached out. Long story short, about two weeks later we were able to move in to Pioneer Village. We love our new home! From [name removed] initial contact with us, to moving in to our lovely apartment, to enjoying everyday life here--the whole experience is wonderful! The residents are friendly and welcoming, and the staff goes out of its way to help us in any way possible. Oh yes, the housekeeping is great and so is the food! God is so good and we thank Him for helping us find Pioneer Village!

Nursing Homes

A nursing home is a building that houses at least two individuals who have no personal relation to the administrator. This type of facility provides its inhabitants with care administered by on-site nurses. Nursing homes are required to provide specialized rehabilitative services (treatment for mental illness or intellectual disability), medically-related social services, emergency dental services, and dietary services to residents. The most common mental disease effecting nursing home residents is dementia, which can cloud their and familiarity with their surroundings, decision making abilities, and memory recall.
